thank you for all the videos. i don't work on my Kia Rio without first finding one of your videos. You all have not driven me wrong. i have a 205 Kia Rio Hatchback that i have driven everywhere. i have 200000 miles on it
Is there anywhere we can buy a dipstick to replace the fill plug so we can easily see how much oil is in there instead of removing that lower plug and all the covers
How to check the level with hybrid, because the engine is not running and there is no torque converter in the hybrids so even if the engine would run, it shouldnt affect the fluid level, right? I have seen one guide video where the guy just measures what he took out and puts the same amount in and I cannot figure out any other way how to check it with the hybrid. I have an Optima PHEV 2019
I'm having some kind rattling noise coming from transmission underneath where the transmission is located. Does this mean I need a new transmission. Or is something else causing the issue.
You pull the big plug with the ratchet end on the side when it drips out,,, it’s full. It’s the transmission level gauge. But be sure that it’s on a very flat surface or the level won’t be correct
After reading the comments, I am really worried about the future of humanity , especially men ,that just cant grasp this video. Im 56 and i understand exactly how to check the level . 😢
That is not the fill point for the transmission. That is the breather. It's a blind hole with two four mm gaps either side to catch anything that goes down the breather hole. The fill point is at the back on top of the transmission. It's the same size bolt that the drain plug is 24 mm filling it through the breather hole is the most ridiculous thing ever. Why on Earth would you do that? Fill it with a hook and hose and pump. It's so easy
Lord have Mercy 🤦♂️ our apologies sir. Forgive us for saying. But with your permission if we may say. This video is not well explained. We can not understand what you are saying sir. As far as you showed us. This video is incomplete. You forgot to mention the bottom Transmission plug. And how to really change the transmission oil the correct way. And for that reason we're out. 🤷♂️
@@MLBMotors no need to check the fluid. It’s a sealed system. If your going to keep the car past 100k miles then drain and refill 2 times. I have done that to both my Kia’s. There are plenty of videos on TH-cam.
First drain the transmission fluid and then add new oil. Go thru all the gears 2x once it gets to temperature. Then car needs to be running in order to check? Top off until you see it coming out
I know the dealer most definitely doesn’t do all of this I assume they just drain and fill so i should go to dealer 2-3 times and slowly get it all drained out.
Did you find it? It's on the front of the vehicle laying under the vehicle you will see it facing where the bumper is. It's round and the ratchet itself 3/8 drive goes rite into the square in the center
@@adictiveadictive I had to take it to the dealership apparently they had to reset the code’s whatever tf that means car was quiet like I just got it off the lot had to pay for the diagnostic and that was it like $160

He literally tells you at the end. Remove that round plug on the side and when fluid comes out at a drip its at the proper level. At least thats what i understood. If nothing comes out then add more fluid til it does.

Did you cut the car in half to replace trans fluid?
I hear they have a different method in San Francisco.
Thank you sir, it worked well, my transmission was making a slight noise added fluid and it stopped, thanks for the video
Where does the fluid goes
@@yushannawright7515 in your mom
Do do you check the transmission fluid level while it's running? Like most other cars
I have done it running and trans temp 160. No issues after 50k miles.

Will this fluid work on a Kia Rio 2019 ?

What a weird view of the car. Is that the bottom or the front removed?
Front is removed
Yea front is removed and is the top of the motor

Thanks want to do this myself to a 2011 Forte. But reallly don’t want to have to remove the front end. I guess I’ll just go to a dealer
Have you video for kia forte 2011 atf change... Thnx

You dont have to remove the front of the car. You do need a flashlight , correct tools and of course you need common sense😮
does it work for kia optima 2019?

The oil is supposed be red ? Can I used valvoline ATF ?
Transmission oil is usually red and regular engine oil is yellow, amd when dirty its black.
I recommend original trans fluid from a kia dealer
I've used valvoline on 2 of my hyundai sonatas and one elantra, no issues with it at all
