That makes two of us! I've always dreamed of having a '64 Impala SS! I love this one, due to it having that 409 engine! If I had the money right now, I'd buy one. Even if it had "just" a 327 or a 283, I'd still buy it! You don't see many of these today!

Modern cars are not as smooth to drive nor are the engines as smooth. Those V8 engines were simple to drive and sounded fantastic.
The interior of the cars were also beautiful and to try and buy a car with that type of interior today is going to cost over $200,000.
Tell us what V8 car could you buy today that would compare.

Great car!! I had the pleasure of a '64 4 door hard top, 327 was a great car ,my first car was a '63 Nova SS 283 4 speed muncie not all original but a fun car! My neighbor Ms. Blasingame had the '64 Impala SS, maroon and white, bucket seats 409,sweet ride and as a teenager I did the maintenance so got to drive it and man was awesome car, thanks for sharing and as always you know "Howdy from Texas 😃"!!

Anyways, have distinct memory of 64 NOVA WITH THOSE 4 Speed/ 327/360 Horse ,or 350 ?? Anyways, the owner was Mechanic at Chevy Dealer: lots of Chevy Stuff; tales of Dealer install/ Options in 19 50-60s, special orders too........Kind of remembering when the 409/425 Horse hit NORTHERN Indiana areas, big Chevy Dealers in Fort Wayne IN, ie Hefner, & surrounding .More than a few hours wandering new car Lots, etc.

Me too. And all I did was watch them drive down my street every once in a while. I was only 12 at the time.
We had a 1960 Pontiac Parisienne Station wagon that was special ordered by a Pontiac dealership owner for his wife. His wife didn’t like it because it didn’t have power windows, so my dad got it as a used vehicle with low mileage. The dealership owner told my father it was a special order 409. I can’t verify it really was a 409, because that was very early for a 409. All I can say for sure is the valve covers I remember looked like 409 valve covers. I know it had a lot of power. We always rented a vacation trailer for the holidays and that car went up steep mountain passes like there wasn’t a trailer there. It was a time when lots of cars actually had trouble making it up those steep hills. We’d be passing cars on the uphill passing lanes, even though the 2 speed transmission wouldn’t even kick down at highway speeds. Other cars would be pulled off to the side of the road with steam pouring out of their radiators. My dad sure loved that car. It had a nice metallic paint job, a really nice interior and a great engine. If it really was a 409, that would make it super rare car.

Why didn't you run the exhaust tailpipes down right behind the rear wheels LIKE THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE! Looks like unprofessional crap run straight out the back. There was a reason GM ran the pipes that way---so you wouldn't gas the car occupants a couple car lengths back.

My Dad got a 1964 Impala in 1964. It was a dark green with light green interior. Coupe. When he came into the house to tell the family about it, I (at age 7) asked him “is it an SS

At 15, it took literally weeks of constant pleading & whining to get my Dad to order his '62 Impala Sport Coupe with a 327/250 (3-speed column shift). His 1st ever V8 car. I didn't even bring up Super Sport, just the V8 was a milestone.

Always loving more your videos Sir, , i love hearing the stories the owners has or if there is no stories, just enjoy seeing these masterpieces still existing.. . There's always something to tell! Specially in old cars like these, they are like: chests full of stories and anecdotes.
    keep up the Good work!
And I have thought, maybe in these hard times not, but if there was the economic possibility , you could visit foreign countries and record cars there . Cuba is a country home of many historic cars. Classic cars are like a tradition there, you would love them!
But it is only an idea, there are still many owners and cars to know in the US!

My Dad owned a '66 Impala 283 3 speed from new and would take my Mom out on dates in his car. He moved the shifter to the floor not long after buying it. Sometimes when they went out, he would hit the clutch and she shifted while he kept his right arm around her. He got rid of that car before I was born. I wish I could get them another one. One day.

Is it true that I'm the only guy who requests to see 4-Door models? I know you have shown a few, but by and large, we see only 2-Door models on You Tube.com. I think it's sad because there should be at least a few of the family cars featured. I would think they would be rarer than the 2-door sports models that hotrodders love.
