And I'm sick of narrowminded people who haven't seen a new movie in 30 years, but yet insist that they are all no good. They bombard us constantly with their complaints about everything new, from society to music, movies, people's morals, language, and clothing. And don't forget Covid, climate change, and the all time favorite complaint of theirs, "woke". Whatever that dumb word is supposed to mean. Sheesh! When will they ever give us a break from the constant whining?

Wow! Such nitpicking! I came to compliment this OP for the way they praised the movie without the ubiquitous whining about new movies. They've proven that it is actually possible to say 1 thing is good, without putting everything else down. A trick most people who comment on old movies have yet to learn, despite the fact that most 5 year olds are taught how to do it. Or they used to be taught that. Maybe now they're not taught that anymore.
Oh! I made a mistake. I just noticed that the OP was correcting their own spelling error, twice. Kudos to that person again, for checking their work and fixing their mistakes. Most of all, kudos for admitting having made a mistake! That is rarely seen here. I see so much nitpicking that I naturally assumed this was another example of it.
The amount of negativity and criticizing of others has become epidemic on TH-cam. To the extent that we are all miserable. We're constantly in the worst mood, and very combative. I admit I'm a perfect example of this, and I hate being this way. Because of that I try to limit my time here, especially in the comment sections.
People have got to start exercising some self control, instead of using comment sections as target practise on others. The comment sections of movie channels are the WORST part of ALL of TH-cam! I've been here on YT for an hour, and it's affected me so much that I have to get out of here now, without even finishing the movie. This OP has given me a positive boost, but it's not enough to counteract the negativity I've been sucked into by the other comments.
I apologize. I've been as bad as, or worse than, the people I'm finding fault with. It wasn't my intention to have a bad effect on others. I only wanted to make people aware how depressing it is to hear the same old complaints about the spelling, language, sex, or whatever in modern movies. It's the overwhelmingly most common comment in EVERY SINGLE movie's comment section. It's dragging us all way down!
And it's not even accurate. It's just an expression of the bad mood that everyone is in. People FEEL that what they're saying is right, but in fact it is not right. There have always been tons of really bad movies, and tons of people dumb enough to actually pay to see them! That's why the trend is a self perpetuating one. But if this film is a good one, why not just say so, like this OP did? The fact that you hate all newer movies, despite never having even seen one, is not relevant, and I don't want to hear it. I don't like action movies either, but I confine my comments to the movie at hand. And I would never repeat something 10 others have already said! There are so many other things that ARE actually relevant to talk about.
You may say to me that I shouldn't read the comments if I don't like what they say, but many of us always read them first, to see if a movie is worth investing our time in. So if you like or dislike THIS film is very relevant. Your reasons are even more important. Or maybe you liked 1 or more other films that you recommend. Or maybe the film tweaked a memory of yours. All of those things are interesting and useful. I'm just saying that the repetition of the same old negativity toward new films, 10, 20, or more times, sometimes even hundreds of times in the same comment section, to the exclusion of everything else, is very trying on a person's nerves. And It's the SAME PEOPLE saying the same thing exactly in every movies comment area, over, and over, and over, and over! Sometimes many times over for just 1 film! We get the message! All new films are bad. OK! We heard you!
Why do people not not care a bit about others on the internet? The mothers of all these complainers would wash their mouths out for that level of constant negativity! Especially considering it isn't even true! There have always been just as many bad movies! There are tons of them here on YT. There has never been a steady stream of masterpieces. That's life.
And if 10 people in a row have already commented how terrible the newer movies are, WHY on earth do number 11, 12, and 13 feel such a pressing need to voice the same complaint?! PLEASE PEOPLE! Have a little consideration of others, and keep the complaining down to a dull roar!

Oh, my! So many quaint colloquialisms! One of the best "Crime Doctor" films I have seen yet. When the doctor sneaks off for a much-needed vacation, he lands right in the middle of a typhoid outbreak. The old country doctor has been treating it as the "Summer Complaint" with his special tonic, or bitters as he calls it. With enough drama and intrigue to rival "Peyton Place" (I wonder how many millennials will need to Google that?), this small, backwoods location is full of envy, lust, revenge, and mayhem. There's a scene around 51:00 where two women are brawling in the street and one guy runs into the general store and yells, "Come out here, fellers, if y'all wanna see a couple of she-males fightin'!" You gotta love the bow-legged Sheriff who breaks them up! As noted in the other comments, there are plenty of zingers throughout this fun film. Will Dr. Ordway find out who poisoned the barber and why? Who took a pot shot at the county doctor, who is trying to bring modern medicine to the backwoods? Watch the film to discover the answer to these, and other questions, on this installment of "The Crime Doctor"!

In the 8th film of Columbia's "Crime Doctor" series, Dr. Robert Ordway (Warner Baxter), is vacationing in the Blue Ridge Mountains district of West Virginia when a typhoid epidemic breaks out. Three deaths occur with the first two being typhoid-caused but the death of the third person, Ward Beachey, is a case of poisoning. Ordway learns that Beachey was the town Romeo with many enemies and that most of those had access to the poison. Doc Millerson, who has a suspicion who the guilty party is, receives a note in a woman's handwriting requesting a meeting at the river bank. He goes there and is killed in an ambush by a rifle shot. Following the note as a clue, Ordway visits the house of Ezra Minnich and traps Minnich's young daughter into confessing that her father made her write the note. Minnich confesses he had killed Beachey for trying to break up his home and Doc Millerson because he suspected him.
