The Lunar Wolf and Glider really highlights Hasbro has a serious workflow problem. They shouldn't be discovering they made major design errors after the factory has started producing the figure. Lunar Wolf, I think the boots were a factory error. The stripes a design team error with 0 oversight. The holster was intentional(despite every almost every PR figure needing some kind of holster). The Glider, I just don't know how the X was never caught. I wish they'd just show us concepts/renders far ahead of time to get reactions.
Yeah, I think they could really use somebody to cross-reference this stuff with official source images to check for any major inaccuracies. I understand that when working with budgets, you'll have some inaccuracies due to simply not being able to put the proper paint detailing in certain parts. But there's a difference between major inaccuracies like the stripes and boots on the Lunar Wolf and minor ones like some boots not having the soles painted in black. It'd also help if they could keep designers consistent amongst a team, since they clearly aren't doing that, which is why we get 5 SPD rangers that all look like they were made by different people.
Ya know, while watching this something dawned on me; what if Hasbro is taking so long to officially announce the next wave so that there isn't enough lead time for them to make any corrections? Like, "Gee, sorry folks, we would fix it if we could but its too late." I know that is cynical but I imagine these rather minor fixes they've had to make cost them a pretty penny.

This was a fun watch. I only collect the army builders in the Lightning Collection, but I like to stay up to date on this stuff, and it's good that you have a sense of humour about it. But also, it would be amazing if Hasbro somehow did release that Lunar Wolf with the holster... and they ALSO all have different amounts of stripes. Listen, it's Hasbro, I wouldn't put it past them.
I don't find anything wrong with wanting a good quality figure for your display. The thought of having to look at my first White Ninja Ranger with the paint defects everyday for the rest of my life, drives me nuts inside. I've already exchanged Mighty Morphin Red and Blue because of paint defects and had to buy another Mighty Morphin Green and Ninja Rangers White and Blue because of paint defects as well. So I totally get what you're saying about the craziness. 😋
Im spend more money on video games then lightning collection. I glad mine Lunar Wolf was the corrected one off Hasbro pluse. And my In Space Blue with Glider was corrected as well in store at my target.
My pink ninja ranger came in with a messed up shoulder as well, although in my case it was a bit worse in that the peg that plugged into the bicep area was actually partially stretched and torn away from the ball of the shoulder joint. Thankfully Target was kind enough to refund me on it, and I was able to get a replacement shortly after.
Did they send you your target exclusives in a bag?? I ordered ninja white from target and received it in literally a target bag.. no bubbles or peanuts, no paper and no cardboard box, just the one the figure came in but shipped in a target shipping bag.. the figures packaging was all dinged up.. lucky I’m not a on card collector or care too much for carding but just crazy that’s how it was shipped
Assuming these are done digitally the X is a simple issue of them using that shape to make a correct triangle and just sizing it wrong on the square. Which is why it was such a easy fix come the second version.
So, at this point, Merrick basically creates his own power rangers team between the six stripe silver boot version, six stripe, white boot, the five stripe versions with both colors for the boots, and the power pop art box versions. I forgot to mention that basically this includes at least one or two extra Rangers on Power Rangers Merrick force, which is what I’m calling this.
I'm sorry someone sold you a Power Pop-up Lunar Wolf in a mailer bag and arrived damaged. I bought some old 94 flip heads and they did the same thing 😢

I finally saw a 6 stripe white boot version in a store last weekend for the first time, that was weird, I'm just glad I found that good one at Gamestop. I sure hope I find a pop art box at a Walmart but I doubt it, the Walmarts around me stink when it comes to exclusive stuff

I double checked my lunar wolf ranger, and I got a bit nervous and made sure I didn’t miss count, and he’s correct minus that dumb holster, that should’ve been included from the start.
When I picked up my ninja figures I just looked for complete figures and didn't pay any attention to qc and my white ranger doesn't have any paint on the coin, his crotch was completely backwards in the package and his half masked head is off center under the hood!
I managed to get, probably, the rarest and most show accurate, minus the stinking holster, version of this figure. Six stripes, and silver boots like in the show. also, I’m at the actor at PMC 2018, so that was another reason why I wanted to get the figure. I’m thinking about creating a PMC 2018 display with my figures. I just have to dig out my Dino charge red figure.
My local target is more or less the same. It usually doesn’t have anything, other than when there’s a movie out that has a toy line, like Transformers rise of the beasts and marvel guardians of the Galaxy volume three for example.
Maybe someone has mentioned in other videos, but I am guessing Hasbro just overlooked Lunar Wolf's belt holster, alot of images online it looks like he does not have one so from a dead on front view he does not look completely wrong. Also alot of older figures from the past didn't even have holsters, so who knows what Hasbro was thinking.
What even worst with Wild Force Silver is even if another one has the holster all of the variants are still wrong since none of them have hands with golden claws the rangers pull out when posing while calling out their jacket titles such as blazing lion or soaring eagle. So all the rangers would look inaccurate during their signature call out and pose. Damn instead of accidentally creating a forever 6th of Lunar Wolf Figures it could be 7 just bringing shame to forever red. Damn the disrespect to Wild Force's 20th anniversary is crazy awful turnout Hasbro.

You should be able to straighten up the belt. I don't own this one yet, but in previous ranger figures, you can adjust the belts to be centered.
