Akala has no children, he’s on about others…. Lyrical legend. Part 4 is 18 mins long, spoken word at the end, it’s a masterpiece but part 2 and 3 are my favourites just because the content.

Many years of watching Akala reactions, these are the reactions that i love. much love to the UK, from Aotearoa/New Zealand.
For album tracks: 'Murder runs the globe' ,'Find No Enemy', 'Carried Away', 'The Maangamizi' and 'Thieves Banquet' are all excellent tracks. Aside from Thieves Banquet,which as far as I know doesnt have a video as such, I highly recommend the official video versions for all of them.

Part 3 is underrated ( I think its the beat, ) Pat 4 is another level from the rest , the 2nd half of part 4 is one of the most powerful spoken word pieces EVER (not just Rap, i include poetry in that)
Vocals are too harsh to the point they're audibly in the red and the actual mix is watered down a bit too much so all of the punch is coming from the vocal accents

It's not absurd he priorities teaching/lecture, screen writing, etc over his lyrical/musical skills. His lyrics educate. Much needed. Gives a perfect example. Just cause you can spit don't mean you ain't no professor!! ❤️🌼🦋✨
Years pass between each FITB, I think each youtube video is timestamped with the year. That whole first section of the song was basically sarcastically calling out the doublethink used by those who sold the War on Terror by claiming we were somehow liberating people by bombing the crap out of them for decades. Dudes lyrics are so layered and complex, ON TOP of being fast and on beat.
One thing I noticed I think in the 1st one was he took a huge breath right before going in(I think concentrating his Chi) but by the 3rd and 4th he just fucking GOES! Doesn't even need to take that big breath. He keeps improving on perfection, and still bars for like 10 mins straight. Akala is the truth.

Clearly, you guys have already been hooked by Akala, Find No Enemy is essential. It's possibly the culminating song in his own journey at that point. You should check Chester P fire in the Streets,
There is a whole UK boom bap scene that is 30/40 years old that is unknown to the US. Heavily Wu Tang, Mobb Deep, Tribe Called Quest inspired.
Some of the greatest Hip Hop MC's you have never heard of were part of that scene, and Chester P is one of the best. Similar subject matter to Akala but more symbology and poetry in the lines, plus Chester P looks like he could not spit a bar, but as soon as he starts spitting it becomes apparent that he could torch 95% of the MC's on the planet

After Akala: Fire In The Booth Part 4, I think you should watch his Oxford University speech, maybe just to yourselves. And then pick an album tune to try and talk about his work.
