So many things I wished I’d have done differently over the years, but memorization of scripture is something I can say I’m glad I’ve done over the years. A binder is great, (I like the 8.5x11 size paper, w/ a flimsy, foldable soft plastic, 1” binder), bc there is a hard copy. Once you have passed, your children & family will see how important this was to you & I pray that it will encourage my family & friends to begin to do the same. Electronics are not something all ppl are capable of getting into, nor will all ppl be able to read my electronic devices. For me it is also for the purpose of evangelism, & my own memorization & I pray the Lord will use His Word, I have written, long after I am gone. I started memorizing Scripture at 62 years of age. I honestly believed that I had a brain that could not memorize. Nope! I started with the 100 verses and couldn't stop. Besides all the benefits the author mentions, memorizing Scripture helps me to love God with my mind. When I'm rehearsing a passage, I'm surrendering my thoughts to Him.
I started at age 70. Pastor Morgan’s book appeared on an 10 year old interview, I ordered the book and began memorizing. Then I discovered pasted Andrew Davis An Approach to Extended Memorization of Scripture. In the past month I have memorized the first chapter of Ephesians. How exciting it is to know I can memorize.
Thank you for sharing. Bible memorizing is so helpful. I like your suggestion. I have been using the Fighter Verse app for some years. I try to start the day with memorizing and reviewing in my devotional time. I appreciate your books so much.
Growing up in my church it was a big deal to memorize scripture. I now have your book and starting to rememorize and memorize 100 verses. I have a small notebook, that is file card size, that I am carrying in my purse with each verse added as I work to memorize them.
I am old but so are the scriptures and the bible reminds me every day to seek Gods word and remember all things God promises, But l ordered your book because an old mind needs to remember anew scriptures put aside 50yrs ago, l put the words of God Almighty aside, O how l long to put them back where they were when l was young, People Never put God on a shelf or you are ln danger of losing sight of the Way, Not every Soul gets the opportunity like l did to return like a lost sheep,*!*¤*!!!
