My first verse memorized after salvation: Psalm 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. I’ve learned a few others along the way, but the Lord immediately impressed upon me His desire for me to hide his word away in my heart...
This is the book and list of verses that launched me into writing memorization songs and I am forever grateful!! I’m at over 600 verse songs now memorized.
Thank you Yeshua for speaking through the anointing on these two precious humans. Precious humans I appreciate you. @10:26 You are speaking of the word cleaning the mind. A analogy given to me by a Pastor once was that Our minds are like a cup full of bad air before we start engaging the bible. Scripture behaves like pouring holy water into that cup. Where does the bad air have to go when water is poured in? Out! Just thought I'd throw that out there since it made so much sense to me.
The Lord is my rock, My fortress, And my deliverer. My God is my rock, In whom I take refuge, My shield, and the horn of my Salvation. My stronghold. Psalm 18: 2
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil. Romans 15:17-19
Can’t agree more, scripture memorization is essential to being a faithful follower of Jesus. Just ordered your book. TH-cam well (the Lord) thought I needed to watch this old video.
Genesis 38: 8-10 "Then Judah said to Onan, “Go in to your brother’s wife, and perform your duty as a brother-in-law to her, and raise up offspring for your brother.”"
Interesting how this popped up in my feed. I'm a forever student! I have a daily devotional I've used for about 15y, each day a verse with background, author experience, & sometimes other verses which support it. I think I've memorized many if them simply from yearly repetition (most years I keep up, lol). I could write my own book if I kept up with verses I've pulled out of reading the Word. I should write my own book of Scriptures I want to commit to memory! I've started many times doing something like memory verse journal, just never followed through. This video has given me a renewed interest as I think God is nudging me from me following a combination of two different Bible reading plans. Crossroads Communications? Even more interesting. My husband & I started Crossroads Ministries in 1998 & I even made a web site by learning the coding. I've seen 100Huntley but haven't looked into who they are. I coined a phrase years ago: Coincidence in God being anonymous.
Thank you for this bible.Readings it reminds me to put more time reading Holy Scriptures by heart . thank you very much for imparting very important passages through read the Gospel of the Lord. God richly bless you exceedingly abundantly abundantly for sharing us.
Kings 2:23 "Then he went up from there to Bethel; and as he was going up the road, some youths came from the city and mocked him, and said to him, “Go up, you bald head! Go up, you bald head!” So he turned around and looked at them, and pronounced a curse on them in the name of the Lord. And two female bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths."
Can somebody please just publish the list of verses? I'll check too see if I already know them. Then I'll look up the rest in the version of the Bible I've always preferred.
16Let the words of Christ, in all their richness, live in your hearts and make you wise. Use his words to teach and counsel each other. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. 17And whatever you do or say, let it be as a representative of the Lord Jesus, all the while giving thanks through him to God the Father. Colossians 3 New Living Translation
Samuel 18: 25-27 "Then Saul said, “Thus shall you say to David, ‘The king desires no bride-price except a hundred foreskins of the Philistines, that he may be avenged of the king’s enemies.’” Now Saul thought to make David fall by the hand of the Philistines. And when his servants told David these words, it pleased David well to be the king’s son-in-law. Before the time had expired, David arose and went, along with his men, and killed two hundred of the Philistines. And David brought their foreskins, which were given in full number to the king, that he might become the king’s son-in-law. And Saul gave him his daughter Michal for a wife."
We’ll we don’t get saved by how many verses we know, but by Grace, by our faith in Jesus Christ, I’m sure you’ll be able to remember more through time keep it going 🙏🏼
Her "theory" isn't very scientific. She learned it in her twenties because the brain isn't developed until 25 or so. You memorize scripture because the brain is most active during religious experiences. When people prayed during and MRI, their brain activity was much higher. Whether you like it or not, praying IS good for you. Whether God answers you or not.
KJV is a direct translation, but so are the ESV, NKJV, and NASB. KJV was translated by the translators in commission from King James for how English was spoken at that time. The ESV, NKJV, and NASB are word-to-word translations done for how English is spoken now (NKJV being more poetic and ESV being the most up-to-date grammatically). NIV, NLT, and the Message are word-to-meaning translations with NLT being closer to a word-to-word than the other two which makes those versions for easier reading rather than study. I stick with the ESV because it is easier for me to read without losing the meaning or translation and still optimal for memorization. Plus, when you quote from the ESV to someone it makes it easier for that other person to understand because I have never casually said "thou", "thee", etc. in a daily conversation.
I would suggest going on Amazon and searching for the titles you want. If you can't buy them straight away, you can save them on a list and buy them later.
No, there is not! Many people think there is because they have not read it or even Mis-understood it, and started different theologies, or maybe even turned from God! When you follow the commands of the Lord, He will enlighten your mind, and the Wisdom you desire, He will grant. Sirach 6:37
It’s good to know bible verses but Sunday is not the Seventh Day. Saturday is the seventh day God sanctified at creation and He gave again at Mount Sinai! Yet men refused to observe but observe a spurious man made pagan heathen day without a command from God!
gladtidings4all none so blind JESUS and fulfilled the law now every day is the LORD?, s day we just dont observe one day but all days ok? Start reading from st john, s gospel down 2 then end of the KJ BIBLE then u can start back again or u can go 2www. Cloud church. Org
There are some things followed in the old testament to do with procedures of praying. l mean praying following the laws that were observed in the old testament and you know what dear, Christ came to add to those laws. everyday is the day of the Lord now. If you know the story of the Samaria woman in new testament who asked God where exactly to pray since there were contrasting opinions on which place is the 'right one' to pray according to the observed laws, Jesus told her now is the time that those who worship and pray wholeheartedly, pray to God as such. This means its no longer about the laws or procedure but doing it wholeheartedly. You can pray on Sunday or Saturday but at the back of your mind thinking about fornication. so its not about when or where but are you praying and following Christ wholeheartedly.
Yeas, however we need to understand, the book of revelation. The revelation chapter 20 tells us of 2000 years. That's our time. We are living in the Time of the 5, angel. The events are written several times over. Revelation chapter 6, is the same events as chapter 8and, 9. The events in chapter 9v, 1 to 14. Is the war in Iraq. As Iraq used to Babylon. That's why it's referred to as the mistery Babylon. Modern day Iraq. The 5 month's war is what happened there. 1991. The locusts are the military aircraft, as he wrote about the locusts having bodies of steel, or iron. And the bottomless pit are the oilwells,,as they lit them on fire and sky was darkened because of the smoke from the pit. And the pilots are described as wearing something like a crown. Is the helmet.
That was the point in Genesis... To see why we are really messed up. David was King of Israel, and he was a mess; his family was an example of dysfunctional, but David knew it and sought YHWH with his whole heart. Then he'd forget, get in trouble, and come back. The only one in the Bible who is certainly not messed up is Yeshua, the Messiah. He's the only one without sin. If you want to get hurt, go to a church. Ha ha. You might meet some pretty nice Christians in your life, but even we Christians are messed up! Maybe some people who claim to be Christians are just making it all up. (Pure Passion on youtube speaks of the Judas Church, for example.) Only the Father in Heaven has it all together.
Wonderful !
Praise the lord
Thank you sir

I accept the challenge to go back and count how many verses I can recall from Bible school days 42 years ago. I'am excited!
As a man thinks in his heart so is he 🙏
Cuida pa que no lo digas fuera de contexto. Este es un de los versos más mal interpretados de la iglesia.
Praise the Lord..
Their conversation about Word of God is very impressive.
Memorizing 100 versus one that saves you ... it is your heart towards Jesus
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9

I don’t like to use a NIV Bible which is a catholic version. The KJV is the correct version!
gladtidings4all yes only KJ BIBLE IS FROM THE ORIGINAL TEXT
Correct kjv is correct

I think the Douay-Rheims is the Catholic Bible. "Sunday" is the Catholic sabbath; Christmass & Eastermass are Catholic feasts.
Does the "correct version" explain that YHWH changed His 4th Commandment and replaced His Feasts with the man-made Catholic ones?
From where can I get these books??

No, because you don't know the bible well enough and you will tell them everything that did not happen, aka heresy
no
Yes. I am not a Christian. I started reading the bible from page one. Genesis is really fucked up.

Superstitious nonsense......
