I appreciate you uploading old school dragracing. But that rapid movement with the camera is given me a headache big time! The point where I stop the video three minutes in. And this is the racetrack. I used to go to as a kid.
Yeah and the editing appears that it was done by a 10 year old. I lost count of the cars that were filmed and I never actually got to see go down the track.
You need to do a lot of work on your camera positioning cuz you're most I saw was the tops of trees or Skyline when the cars took off stay on the cars not the skyline or the tops of the trees thank you
The first two Dragters almost brig tears to your eye, The motorcycle stunts EXCELLENT!. This is the place to do not on our highways and freeways stopping traffic to do a youtube vid. WOW wish I could have there. This was a really good event. I wasn't sure when the announcer said its gonna get real hot over there if he talking about the Hot Blonde or the "Dude, Did you know theres a rocket behind you? ". Flame On! wow 287 miles per hour!. Unfortunate for other guy ran out of butane. But things might not be all that bad for him. I think the the blonde had an interest in him And finally the typical locals that like to build Hot Rods but there always some that will build a beautiful engine and when they get to the rear end. They just put big rubber on. Hopefully after they launched that day will figure out The rear end is just as important as the motor is. The Media use to really promote the Funny Cars Do you remember the days of The Snake and The Mongoose? Nice vid. really enjoyed it.
My buddy got ahold of a dodge van/truck wheelstander. Someone cut the top off and made it a convertible.so after that's fixed, he is gonna paint it like the "lil red wagon" wheelstander.
I enjoyed the video lots ! I noticed in the second half, the sound was ahead of the picture. Am I right ? Anyway it was good to see as I live in Illinois. Thanks !
Dragstrips are allowed a 2% slope. Not sure what the slope is at Byron since it was built in the 60's. The shutdown goes uphill to aid in slowing the cars down. Byron is an old strip but still looks great and friends that have raced there liked it.

Rust-Oleum paint is cheap and there's several videos on TH-cam that he can watch that shows how to paint your own car using it.

1/8 mile drag racing sucks the big one. The current 1000 ft is even worse. Go back to quarter mile racing.
Idk about those front engine dragsters. ...they go really. Fast...like the rear engine dragsters as well.
