- Specially trained dogs are arriving in Tenerife as the search for missing British teenager Jay Slater continues.
Police confirmed to the BBC that new resources had been brought in to help find the 19-year-old from Oswaldtwistle, England.
The Guardia Civil, whose ground searches had concentrated on the area where his last mobile phone signal was traced, said their efforts "are not being scaled back".

Why do the media insist on calling him a teenager? He's not a kid he's 19 that makes him an adult. He's a gang member convicted of a machete attack and has a drug habit. His family put up a GoFundMe less than 10 hours after he went missing withdrawn 36,000 of it to fly 18 family and neighbours to Tenerife and none of them have looked for him. Just sat in the bar and slagged off the Spanish Police. How many children and adults that don't attack ppl with machetes, don't take drugs go missing in the UK every year and wheres the media coverage? Where are the Police and public searches?

He was convicted on a joint enterprise charge in 2021. He was part of an 8 strong mob who attacked another young man with various weapons including a machete and a golf club. The victim was left with injuries to his head,shoulders and legs. His skull had been exposed in one of the head wounds.
Some people from his home area have spoken out about his recreational drug use which isn't that uncommon for his age group in the UK. I can't vouch for his partying ways 100% but the machete attack is a matter of public record and is irrefutably factual.
He may never be found ever again. That could be possible . Vanished from the face of the earth and he aint the only one either many do around the world .

I thought the police had spoken to the two men that he was staying with on Sunday night/Monday morning 🤔 So if that is true then surely the police would know a bit more about why he was there, what they were doing, and why he might have left in such a hurry rather than wait at that accommodation for the bus ... the bus stop was literally right outside the window he would have been able to see it arriving from inside the accommodation. Also, why would he not charge his phone there before leaving ... someone is not right about it. The police definitely know more than they're saying 🤫

The footage of him at the festival on Sunday night/Monday morning shows him so out of it he was 100% on something his face says it all unfortunately. And why would he rush off so quickly that he couldn’t charge his phone at their house or grab a drink of water if he was so thirsty. agreed. a lot of leads are no doubt being followed up and the main investigation is about figuring out who else is involved and how. the body search is just a small part of the puzzle, just one step to confirm how the story ended.

@@veroniquehill9314I know it sounds wild but could he have been drugged on purpose because although he has been out to endeavour to walk 10 hours is like mentally gone material not just a bit high, I think the way the two just went back home is bizarre I would stayed there and helped if I was with someone and knew they had gone missing I would be devastated even if they didn’t do anything wrong to drive him up there and leave him to get a bus with a flat phone off his head seems really weird.

It’s been widely reported for years that residents of Tenerife dislike the English. They hate how the tourists are so unruly and drunk, never want to eat local cuisine etc which effects their culture and lifestyles. I’m sure the Guardia Civil and Tenerife officials are even more pissed off now that the island will be known as the place where a tourist went missing and probably died. I’m guessing they don’t want to bring more attention to it, especially considering the rising discussions of drugs and crime on the island.
This is a big con just for the money.

The guys who rented the air bnb apparently 'worked' regularly in Tenerife. They should be questioned about this... They would know how to conceal a murder/body, they would know to rent an air bnb miles from anywhere last minute... Only reason i can see him going up hill is him walking to the next bus stop! walk to the next stop when waiting for a bus is something i used to do as a kid
as a kid, did you also walk in the opposite direction to the where the bus stop is, as indicated by the neighbour?
Like the reporter said, that's a remote, rural area where he was last seen, with a single bus service to the touristic South of the island every 2 hours. Not central London precisely, where you can walk 300m to the next stop if you miss your bus and don't fancy waiting in the same spot until the next one arrives.
@@duncansmith7562 why would I walk away from where the bus is coming from? I would walk to the stop the bus is going to get to first, im guessing the bus would be coming down? Is there only 1 bus that does that route?
Also, no buses on the mountains where he was last seen heading. Why he didn't stick to the road, even if he was unprepared enough to think walking back to Los Cristianos (an 11 hour walk) was a good idea, it's anyone's guess.
The road heading in the right direction from Masca - South East - is immediately steep with lots of hairpins. The road in the other direction less so. Maybe that explains his choice?
Given his hungover / high condition I think he would just have kipped on a bench in Masca waiting for the bus. Whatever the reason for going there with the 2 men, I think when it got light he had enough about him to want to put distance between himself and them.
