Wow, the snowy Brecon Beacons look absolutely breathtaking! Those clear views into Mid Wales and even Snowdonia must have been such a reward for braving the cold.. what a nice adventure!
Great video Andrew, love this route one of the best available in the area and certainly a significant climb! Looked majestic in the snow , brilliant walk. BW, Adam
Hi Andrew, It looks gorgeous, I’m planning to visit in the last week on December and it will first winter hiking. Could you tell the walking route details please
@@logintomani thanks I was lucky with the weather it’s a straight forward route I parked at the national trust car park called cwm gwdi At the foot of pen y fans north ridge not far from Brecon you should find the route on line but basically you follow the right of way paths east to the foot of cribyns north ridge past Bailey and the entrance to cwmcynwyn farm there is a right of way up onto the ridge with cwm sere to your right (west) as you climb to the summit of cribyn via its steep summit ridge Bryn teg then descend westwards to col and ascend up to pen y fans from the summit descend NNE down the Cefn Cwm Llwch ridge to the car park. The whole route is about approximately 7 miles with about two thousand foot of ascent enjoy !
