It's very clear that class M ships were intended to be in the game but after seeing how much this affects your framerate and how poorly they fit on a landing pad, I get why they cut it. I do hope they figure out a way to add it back in, in the future. A little bit of processing optimization added into the ship builder and maybe a "landing shuttle" for landing on a planet, I don't know. But I hope it happens.
@rcorescorner Yeah, there is no telling how early or late in development this was cut. Still, I have at least some hope because if a team of 2 like these guys could do this much, this quickly, then there is no telling what a larger team with the access to the source codes, dev tools and resources of Bethesda could do. They did great work on the mod!
Yeah, there's lots of issues with it that would make it a feature we as consumers would not accept. As a mod that you can choose to use or not, I think that most folks are willing to accept the limitations, and just go with it. I'm not going to complain about the FPS or how the ship overlaps the landing platform, I chose to make it that big and go past the limits. So they probably made the right call. That doesn't mean I don't enjoy building them that big though.
Simple your class M ship stays in orbit always has a spawn point on it and you can leave like a hanger with your normal ship to go planetside. BOOM PAY MY TODD HOWARD YOU SILLY LITTLE MAN
Funnily enough, I was able to make a 400m+ long ship with this mod and another cheeky ship builder tweaks mod. My XBOX tanked *hard* with the ship, but damn she's a gorgeous one.
I just wished someone do a tutorial on how to build the var'run shroudberer or the ecliptic legendary ship I wanna build these ships on xbox with this mod or alternative versions of them...
Great job TN but how do you get the M class mods to snap over your habs connected to the cockpit?!!! I have all of the habs tested and arranged but the NOVA large hab nose wont snap! help maybe please?
There's an INI setting you need to set in order to make it work. It's detailed on the mod page: fShipBuilderModuleOverlapTolerance=-20 If you have another mod that overwrites it, or INI files in your data folder that overwrite it or something, it might not be set correctly. Or you may have to up it to -25 or -30 on your system. Some people have mentioned needing to set it higher. That allows the parts to overlap.

I'm using this mod on xbox and your aio mod too. I see most of this stuff, but I can't find those big thrusters, the giant ones on the sides of your ship that look kinda like landing gears. Are they from this mod or another one?
@@MichaelKrupa-q9g you might need his aio mod and the categories mod to make it work. Those thruster things I mentioned are markedly absent, but everything else should be there.

Do you have multiple mods that touch the ship builder tolerance? If one overrides this setting, it could be causing the tolerance to be lower than needed.
Looks awesome, really does, have lots of hours in the game and tons of mods, but nothing, and I mean NOTHING gets this mod to work for me. Tried through MO2, tried Vortex, tried manually installing, I have Command and pilot rank 4, tried disabling all mods except this one, watched videos, tutorials. Damn I really wanted to use this, great mod nonetheless.

I'd of course endorse the hell out of it on Nexus and vote it as Mod of the Month!

@@yourmuma I didn't do any to "fix" it on my end I just didn't realize most of the parts are in the Habs section. Also make sure you have the required skills!

This needs to be part of the main game. Perhaps as part of a DLC
I think the reason that they cut the M-Class parts is because of the potential performance issues, specifically on Xbox.

but thing is , during load screens i would sometimes see "a ship at 80m cannot land on planets"

What GPU are you using and at what resolution are you playing?
I run at 1920x1080 resolution on an NVidia 3080. I am probably more CPU limited though, it's an older AMD chipset that I have yet to update.
Theres one issue, there are no class M reactors so i can't create it and having to scrap the progress i did.

They should be at the bottom of the reactors category, but you may have to go to different vendors. Also, ensure have the right perks.

I use the NG+ as an opportunity to build a new one. Also the last few NG+'s, I stuck to my starborn guardian ship for the whole thing.
