This episode is my favorite! I am also a fan of succulents, bromeliads and cacti. Was hoping you would read some of the names on the labels. That’s if they were scientific names. Thanks to you and to Kunzo for these amazing videos!!
I love how the binomial names transgress language barriers. That’s why I believe that the Ancient Greek and Latin should have a correct standard for pronunciation. If the names are written correctly they can tell you things about the plants from geography, families they were named in honour of, if they are a cultivar, hybrid, ( complex or primary ) or just a wild type of a species. It breaks my heart when novice declare that the pronunciation isn’t important.

I am purchasing "Japanese Succulent" seeds I saw another name (blue succulents witchford lithop) I am in Northern California in Oroville I am trying to find out if these are going to do okay and how I should care for them.

I looked it up! It's a mutated version of Kalanchoe luciae. It's called Kalanchoe luciae 'Oricula'.
