I agree with this. I know when I import from Equigineria that I'm getting a large specimen that I rehab. I've made tons of orders from them and only lost 2. The reason was the plants were vulnerable to shipping. Ive had more issues from Indonesia only because the box are wrapped so well that the humidity is high in the box and promotes rot. However with that when I import wholesale from Indonesia I've only lost 2 plants to rot. Pretty good turnaround.
Very informative video guys!! Thank you!! I'm waiting an order from Ecuagenera as we speak! So glad they have such a good reputation on everything they do concerning plants and customer service!!
I have learned from both of you. I've decided to be a collector and not a seller. However, I have been finding good deals in the U.S.A. Thank you for your knowledge and sharing.
Great video!!! The whole time I was watching this I kept picturing myself sitting in the corner of the couch where the pillows are like I was part of the conversation🤣😂.. one day I'll make it to the west coast to see ya!! I'll settle for facetime for now😘
Oh and totally agree on local sales. If you live in any sort of a city find a local FB group for sales (or start one). I've gotten most of my wishlist plants locally in the past two years. But I also live in Florida so there are a lot of hobbyists here. :)
Enjoyed this informative video. I’ve ordered a lot of plants from Ecuagenera and luckily, I’ve only lost one! I’m a collector but I’m thinking of selling some of my plants because of space issues.
I'd note that Ecugenera has made huge strides in their packaging. They did NOT have it down at first. They were shipping in plastic bags. And plants melted. I think a ton of their initial bad rep was from their cruddy shipping. It seems like it's much improved with paper now. My only issue with them over the past two years is they seemed to increase prices a lot on certain plants- probably trying to remove the middle man like you said. But asking someone to pay full full price for a plant that will more than likely need some sort of rehab kinda sucks. But that's why I only try to get the reasonably prices ones from them. Waiting on a package this week actually.
Totally agree about importing and just wanted to mention that when pronouncing of Ecuagenera, the G in Spanish sounds like an H in english, so instead of Genera, it would sounds like Henera. I have just noticed that a lot of English speakers on TH-cam are pronouncing their name wrong.
Thanks! I’ve ordered from there many times in the past 2 years and have mispronounced it since the first time I read the name. I definitely prefer being corrected instead of looking like an idiot. 😬
@@kathybrintlinger9993I am glad you didn't take my comment as being rude!. I go to Panama every winter, so do hear more Spanish than some in North America.
Lovely Plants ^^
Thank you for good sharing~

Lots of good info on here 😀 💚
Does anyone have tips on 100% identifying philodendron andersons? I’d love to know the history too! I’m obsessed 🤩😍
Fascinating
Great Content 😉
It’s not post COVID COVID is raging as we speak
Yep! This was filmed almost two months ago but I’d say the majority of it is still true. Delta is especially bad in Indonesia.
Exactly!
You have to look further and goto tissue culture these days. U can buy 10 plants for the price of one.
Post-COVID?? 😷🤔. I think you know that’s not true.
Yeah, this was filmed two months ago before Delta really took off. I’d say the majority of what we talked about is still true.
Come on Jimmy, you can't spend all your time just making these videos and encouraging us to get engaged, you have to check your comments!

This is NOT post-Covid. Delta is a terrible variant on the rise.
