dang, 35lbs for the 300! 18hrs playback isn't too shabby. Seems okay for a garage setup, or out by the pool, but definitely not the most budget friendly or portable way to go.
Damn 2 8 inch woofers and a 12 inch sub. I might have to get the 1000

Sony's options are really tempting the XB90 or this other new one that's splash proof and has a touch capacity of top it's probably about 3 or 4" taller than the party buxbut I can't help but feel the party box would be just right for me design and sound wise! Probably won't get one until next return season though
J.R. never explained if the Party Box 1000 is portable or not. I can't find any information on this and it's driving me crazy...
The PartyBox 1000 is a portable speaker. Definitely not as small as the PartyBox 200 or 300, but you can get this out of the house no problem, and enjoy it when you're out and about!
@@crutchfield Just a found a website (www.abt.com/product/129803/JBL-PartyBox-300-Black-Bluetooth-High-Power-Speaker-JBLPARTYBOX300AM.html) explaining that the PartyBox 1000 is indeed not a portable speaker. It does not have a built-in battery.
Ah lol I think we were considering two different aspects of portability. It is supposed to be portable as in having a handle and concealed wheels for easily moving it around. But if JBL sticks to the information currently reported on that site, there won't be a battery built in for using it anywhere; just for using where you have an alternate power source. I wish JBL would release them already!!
The should all be waterproof.
JBL: lets make them waterproof. So we could raise the prices by $200 more dollars...

Couldn't spend $500 for just bluetooth. I don't see any reason to not have Wifi support.

The PartyBox itself only comes in black. When you turn it on it can be green, blue or any number of different colors.

That's a black boombox being lit by a green light it seems, they come in black and camo colors.

Would make sense I currently own the boombox and it has a 20,000 mah so I wonder why they put a smaller battery for a bigger speaker ?
What about battery backup & price in euro
There is no backup battery as JBL does not intend for users to remove/replace it. As for the european price, we don't have that as the gear we carry is meant for use within the USA. I recommend contacting JBL on 800-336-4525 to locate a european seller to get that information.
Is there a 12 v dc input?
There is a 12V DC input and a DC cable included so you can use a power port (cigarette lighter port) to power/charge it.
@@crutchfield The manual of my 300 states that it can only charge the internal batteries on AC input. Seems like DC can only power it without charging.
Anybody know how many watts the 1000 is?
As of yet, we do not know the finite specs on the unit.
