@@DPC2011 nobody can do Garfield right. Only Lorenzo Music. Because it's not like Bugs Bunny, where it was a created voice, that other people can easily replicate. Nobody can replicate Lorenzo's voice.
If he was alive today he would do a Super Bowl commercial to play an owl, and shows a fan that a Japanese family went to the Super Bowl and clean up the stadium and says give a hoot don’t pollute.
@@joeybaseball7352 I agree. Not even Bill Murray in the live action films. In fact one of the other reasons why I hate the live action films is Garfield really talking and seeing his mouth move. Not good compered to hearing Garfield's thoughts in the cartoon series.

Just that simple sequence in the Garfield show cracks me up and I would bet Lorenzo improvised that joke.
I have to thank you, because I hunted down that episode, and the timing in this moment is so perfect I'm damn near choking to death laughing.

I love how I some sort of twist of fate or unique coincidence, whatever you want to call it, Lorenzo Music voiced Garfield for the cartoon series while Bill Murray did it for the live action film and the same goes for Peter Venkman (Ghostbusters 1984/The Real Ghostbusters)
As a singer and actress, I do love and am a fan of his vocal characters. That unmistakable iconic voice. He rarely if ever changed it and yet with that voice, he did so much and his writing and other accomplishments that he had done in his life - I can only begin to speculate. Thank you Mr. Music - Lorenzo, know that you are still missed dearly and people wonder about you and hope you are in a better place.

No. Bill Murray is the best Peter Venkman. However, Lorenzo is the best and only Garfield.
He was a genius. I still love his Garfield and Peter to this day.

I actually have a lot of memories of watching Garfield and Friends with my 2 younger cousins before we’d go to school in the early 2000’s. Even to this day, Lorenzo is still Garfield to me!

Carlton The Doorman was introduced to me, today, March 23, 2022. I never watched much TV after around 1975. Got into music, jazz clubs, etc.

Eagle-eyed observers can catch him in a small part in Peter Bogdanovich's little-seen "Nickelodeon" in 1976.
Ironically, despite his undeniable talent, he could not sing well, himself.
He's one of those people that, for me, their appearance and voice just don't match up. ☺

Lorenzo was the voice of Super Pac of the Pac-Man animated TV series (1982-83). He appeared in season 2.
Interestingly, in the end credits of "Twice Upon a Time" they had the voice cast showing pictures of the actors alongside the characters they voiced, including Lorenzo Music, which I think it was the first time his face was shown to the public.
I think that movie actually predates when he chose to stop showing photographs and video of himself. He had appeared on TV quite a few times before that. He and his wife Henrietta actually hosted a short lived variety series for a couple weeks in the early ‘70s. It was only after he was pretty established as a VO artist that he chose to stop showing his face, after he had been doing Garfield for a little bit
