i asked so many people how to do this and they would give me long complicated tutorials with a bunch of programs to download. you just made this so simple! thank you for your tutorial
I know before you had to do big work arounds, I’m so glad they streamlined it.
agreed
I have been trying to figure this out without being confused since 2021.. Thank you for making it simplified and straight forward!!
was it really THAT simple the WHOLE time? omg tysm for this cause all other tutorials are so complicated and asked me to download software i didnt want to
This is a fast and simple tutorial which helped me without having to replay the vid, glad I found this vid first.
WOW.. for years i have been trying to find a simple way without having to download a bunch of stuff. Thank you!
So much easier than the hoops I was having to jump through with other tutorials. Thanks!
Thank you for this, i literally finally figured this out bc of your tutorial lol. I was so afraid this was gonna be hard bc of the length of the other vids i was seeing, thank you for keepin it short simple and to the point!
thank you sm i dont knopw why people are doing some crazy long tutorial for this. u went straight to the point so thank you for that kanda !!
This was REALLY healpful, Thank You! Not only is spotify split from the VOD, I now know how to crop windows! lol
People still try and do the craziest shit with all kinds of extra programs and OBS literally has had this option for the longest and I just don't understand why people never used it lol. Thanks for the straight to the point tutorial!
finally someone who doesnt just talk for 20 mins about nothing! helped me in 4 mins! earned a sub from me for sure!
Thank you! Everything I'd seen had use of the twitch music driver, which in the past had screwed up ALL of my audio so I didn't want to use it again. I just set it up and your instructions were so easy. Looking forward to trying this out.
I’m glad it was easy to set up!
love how simple you made this thank you sooo much
clear, and concise. I'm really happy with the guide man, as someone that would love to play music on my singleplayer games, I'll give this vid a shoutout in my discord circles to try and boost you up, if all your content is like this then I may subscribe.
I appreciate it! If you have any questions once you set it up don’t hesitate to ask!
Can't believe it took me 2 hours to find your video. Everyone else was telling me to download other programs or make strings or some shit. Good job man.
Im glad it helped!
been doing this for fun, thank you so much. much love kanda proto
Legit thanks so much bro! I have watched so many ridiculously complicated videos for this. Thanks for the help!
This guy...is the REAL MVP...
ur amazing, been trying to play spooky music on strem but it just wasn’t even playing on my active stream lol I am not techy at all so I really appreciated this video thank youuuuu
So, I have done this 100 times now and it still shows on VOD, as my desktop audio still picks up Spotify. I have then made Application Audio Captures for all games and disabled the desktop audio, but I lose chat for COD as an example. Slobs seemed to work easier, but with OBS the simply checking the box does not seem to dodge the desktop audio track. Anyone who can help that would be super.
i have the same problem
Quick and simple love it best one I’ve watched
DUDE YOUR THE BEST YOU DESERVE MORE RECOGNITION
Subscribed because of this! Amazing and straight to point! W!! ❤
yea you did simplify the process and made it pretty easy to understand compared to the other 20 lol. Also maybe the spotify trick worked when you made this video but I haven't been able to get it to work. But all in all THANK YOU!.
*** I really like the anime art you are using its super cool and awesome sauces!
Hey man, I was messing around in obs and I figured out how to show what song your playing and wanted to share!
Click + in the sources tab
Select Window capture
Name to whatever you want then click ok
Select your Spotify window and click ok
After this just follow the steps in the video to show the song. Do note that if you minimize your Spotify it will stop showing the song. Also I haven't done anything else testing wise example (if it shows while playing a game) so keep that in mind!
Ive watched so many tutorials that SO over complicated this... thank you so much
omg so glad i found this video cause all the others are so detailed and such a pain to figure out when you are tech stupid! thank you for the easy video and teaching me how to show the spotify in obs! i love you! you are a life saver!

Good job on this video! Nice and simple. Thank you!
Thanks so much! So many videos having you download additional software to split streams..etc. very confusing!! Thanks again for this video.
I am not that computer literate. Computer & console chatter is baby talk to me. Nothing to do with your knowledge, I am just old & missed out on the PC generation. Your video is the most straightforward, but I am yet to try your method.
Thank you for your time it has taken to create this tutorial.
I’m glad it was straightforward, hopefully it works when you try it. If you have any issues just let me know.
THANK YOU! quick and to the point!

Im planning on a karaoke stream and you just helped me so much
Glad I could help!
life saver. bless 🙌
This video was super straightforward, so thank you for not making it complicated. Just FYI as this just happened to me, I did everything you said and I still got muted on twitch. Don't know if there is an updated fix. Still appreciate the tutorial :)
Check if you have desktop audio source, if you do remove it, and add an individual audio capture source for everything you want to play on stream
Can you make a video explaining this? It would be very much appreciated!@@kanda_proto
Thank you for making this
Glad to help!
I love you for this
thanks bro i followed ur twitch as well
Thankyou Kanda!!
Thanks a lot! I do however have a question, i usually record videos by clicking record while i am streaming, can you also filter it out of recordings or just out of vods?
Under the settings there should be a tab called "recording" where you can change the audio tracks for recording
So, this has been super useful (thanks) but, just one question: I have set everything up as the video says, and it does work, but spotfiy also plays through my desktop audio, causing the audio to double on stream. Not quite the desired effect lol
You have to create an audio capture source for everything you want to add. So one for Spotify, one for the video game, etc.
I would add thousands of likes to your video if I could man, thanks so much!
Ok so the issue is that I got an audio output capture which is my screen audio, which obviously records/streams my spotify when music playing. I have this screen audio checked on all 6 tracks so any audio from my screen back be heard in VOD, which means if I do what you're teaching in the video, spotify musics would be still heard in VOD which must not happen. I can use a plugin to have input of any application or game separately for my audience but since I do a lot of things in stream, a few applications/game's audio might be still missed in VOD. I tried to add spotify web version as dock in obs but spotify doesn't accept it. so all I want is a workaround for spotify musics be heard separate from screen audio so I can uncheck it from track 6, because I got Twitch VOD Track on 6, how do you have implemented it for yourself if using an audio output capture source on your OBS to capture screen audio?
As fast as efficient thank you ! For sure I'll raid you soon with a bunch of french people 🔥
Thank for the tutorial, it was great help however I just wondered if you're using desktop audio capture and that picks up your music does it also pick it up in the VOD or not? or does using the Spotify audio capture cancel it out??
I was wondering the same thing
i appreciate the tutorial. one question though. so i have desktop audio as a audio source. how do i fix it so the spotify doesn't go through the desktop audio? i hope that made sense. otherwise i really enjoyed this video. it was simple, the other ones confused me a lot.
So you have to get rid of the desktop audio source, and make an individual source capture for each game/program. I had the same issue and actually had to stop using this method because my tts program could only be captured via desktop audio capture, so if you have a program like that unfortunately this wont work for you.
Thanks a MILLION!!!
thanks for this!
Literally made it so simple
THANK YOU.
You’re a life saver
thank you papa this is so helpful!!
I’m glad it helped!
thank you so much!
very helpful
I've read about how bad ass the application audio stuff is, even in beta. I was meaning to look into it for days where I want to listen to anything without being struck, lol. I figured it'd be easy, but now I don't have to look for anything else. Appreciate you homie! ✌🏻❤️
Yessir! This feature is great, the only thing is always check before stream that it is capturing the audio, you occasionally will have to go in and reselect the source after your computer has been shut down or restarted. Enjoy jamming out my dude
Great video, only thing is that my alert sounds are muted. I use stream elements. any way around this?
So good
Amazing
Legend!
Is the spotify audio mixer is the same one as the desktop because im not having it in my audio mixer
