Harry is one of the VERY few artists that I think actually sounds better live than in the studio. The only music video that I prefer over the live version is the Falling video, even over the Brit Awards performance (I know, I know…!) Absolutely hauntingly beautiful. 🎼🎤❤️

Here’s how I interpret “Remember everything will be alright” and what follows refers to death and life after death. We’ll shuffle off this mortal coil one day and if you believe in an afterlife, we’ll meet again without this insanity.. There’s celebration in leaving life, surrendering to the end. It’s not a song about running away (not fighting the madness) or finding some paradise on earth. It’s a bummer that that we don’t learn, we scapegoat (follow the lead of self-interested people and scapegoat to their benefit), we run from the bullets that result. It’s like… we never seem to escape from this maddening, depressing cycle except in death.
The song is somber AND hopeful. Maybe if we pay heed we will talk more, we will open up, we will break the cycle (what we know). Not every abused child grows up to be an abuser. There’s always some hope that as a species that we will learn. (Will we ever learn?)
The song is probably less hopeful to people who are afraid of death or afraid of reincarnation. A minister friend who believes in reincarnation keeps insisting she wants this to be her last life (I want it to be mine too), and I think she superstitiously believes if she says that enough, she won’t be back. She wouldn’t find the song hopeful for that reason.
I believe in reincarnation and an afterlife, but I don’t think we necessarily come back right away, and I also think we can choose to reflect on our lives in an afterlife and put in the spiritual work to be better the next time around and/or just hang around getting a respite. (I know that belief will sound la, la, la to some, and believe me, I’m more logical that most and science oriented, but I’ve also had one too many unexplained phenomena in my own life to not “know” that there’s something more going on that we can’t quite measure. Most of my life I resisted that phenomena and I’ve never pursued it, but I no longer resist whatever is imparted in these moments. And I’m absolutely okay with being wrong about an afterlife because I’m thoroughly invested in the present as the best way to have a spiritually better next life.)

I'm not a Patreon subscriber, but I noticed you only have done a few of his music videos. I absolutely adore the live versions, but if you want to check out his amazing music videos, he has many I think you'd enjoy. My favorite one must be "Adore You" (because the song is such a good bop, too), but if you do that one make sure it's the EXTENDED version. The Official one is the same but it lacks the background story and the epilogue. They are SO important! Without them the music video makes a little sense and lacks the context.

There’s a few songs of him that are said to be about Taylor Swift. “Two Ghosts” and there is two unreleased you can find on TH-cam, “him” (which is amazing and should have been released) and one called, “trouble”…
