I have been waiting on this NKJV Study Bible update for a long, long time. I bought the first edition in 1997 and its still holding up, ( well built) but, I am so happy Thomas Nelson has updated this study bible. The notes are by far the most balanced notes I have found. Thank you Thomas Nelson and thank you, Randy Brown.
I purchased the two color edition in the Crimson Leathersoft and really like it alot. After comparing them i found the two color edition more desirable for myself because I liked the layout and design better for reading.
I know this is an old video. But does anyone know if the 2 color edition is line matched? I listened to hear if they mentioned it. But if they did, I missed it. That makes a huge difference for my old, tired eyeballs.
This is the first time looking into these, I've been using the NKJV this year specifically the NKJV Comfort Print SCR, but I want to get both editions of this SB, hard to believe two different designs utilizing the same material, wow.
I just ordered the Thomas Nelson full color 2017 two town leather soft. It’s going to be my first study Bible. I like archeology do it seemed a so brainer with also 10 font size . What’s the difference betweeen that one and this.
Hello, Can someone tell me what are the differences between the NKJV Study Bible and NKJV Open Bible? What advantages and features does one have compared to the other? I want to be sure of making the right choice before purchasing one. Thanks, Paul.

I purchased the 2 color and the full color edition. The full color I gave to my daughter. I VERY MUCH like that both editions aren't red letter editions. The commentaries are excellent. The editor Earl Radmacher was an outstanding bible teacher. Obviously the publisher changed few of the commentaries compared with the first edition. I don't think this is an improvement. I wish that this study notes will be translated into German which is my mother tongue. Where is a publisher? The NKJV is a great translation. I like that it shows different manuskript roots (TR, MT and NA) in the NT.
Gotta ask - I recently purchased the 2 color edition - when will a Full Color red letter edition be available? I'm really enjoying the 2 color edition. Thanks
I have used the NJKV bible since the first one was released and is my everyday bible. I have enjoyed them and would like to say 1-the older version had the colored glossy church doctrine and church history info. IT WAS GREAT!! Please bring that back 2-the last version produced 2 years ago is excellent but I must say the font is too small and they did not release a large print edition!! 3-add more notes in the gospels. This study bible is excellent in the areas of the OT and the epistle's (I believe it's better then the ESV and the NIV study bibles) but lacks good gospel notes they need more notes in Matthew Mark Luke and John 4-Many of the notes seem to be taken from JV Megee's work which is great by the way -I believe if more articles were added maybe 10 more, larger font size or a large print edition, and bring back the colored glossy doctrine article which were in the original version. Understand we do not care how thick a study bible is as long as it has the info that's needed!!
Yes I also like the two colour design, and even went as far as to find the 1997 edition, which I prefer yet again. For bible marking, which I do, I don't like the paper used in the color version (smudging). I also would have liked to have the study notes in the side margins (as Nelson did with the 1995 Women's Study Bible). I'm also a fan o the burgundy bonded leather, gold lettering traditional look! I'm not a fan of the red headings in bibles (I prefer blue or another color) because red reminds me too much of Red Letter words, which I attribute to Jesus's words. But then you can't please us all! I have the full color coming in the mail....I’m not usually a study Bible kinda guy but from what I understand this study Bible is fairly objective and leaves out a strong bias.

Q: I see that the Full Color NKJV 3rd edition comes in calf leather....however, is it Smith Sewn?
I'm pretty sure it is, but I've asked Thomas Nelson just in case.

Why can you not print this in a 10 point font like you do with the KJV?

I want a new NKJV Bible, but I prefer red letter. I thing these Bibles are beautiful but not for me. Sigh...
They do have red letter coming. I'm not sure when though.
