    I thought Da Nang only has Vincom mall. Now I know there is Indochina mall that I can go to. Thanks for the video.

      @@susangarrard2753 the Chiro wasn't busy when we got there. Everything is appointment based so every time one person leaves the next one is walking in. No waiting in line for a treatment. Rebecca paid 800k

      Yes, the microphone dieing was really unfortunate. We shot about 200 video clips in one day for this video and the mic receiver almost made it all the way through before it died on us!

    I So agree about the language!! I’m embarrassed by how many Canadians have been in a country for months and can only say hi or thank you in country’s language. That’s it! Hello ppl…you order food everyday so learn how to order + say some kind things to the staff ☺️ 💜
    Curious…how do you say: 1 please in Vietnamese? And: this is tasty?
    Those are the next 2 things i like to learn after hello + thank you

    • @expatescapeofficial
      @expatescapeofficial  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Absolutely! I can see someone not trying to learn a language that's so brutally difficult as Vietnamese if they are only coming here for a couple of weeks on a holiday and then leaving again, but to stay here for an extended period of time as a nomad for example, you definitely need to atleast try and learn some basic words. As hard and frustrating as it is to learn Vietnamese, it's a lot easier then not being able to talk to anybody or even order your own coffee haha
      Every time I try out my Vietnamese on a local when I order something, I always follow it by asking them " did I say it right?" or, "Is that how you say it?" and when they see that I'm trying my best, they are generally quick and kind to help me say it correctly. That helps a lot in learning the basic phrases.

    • @expatescapeofficial
      @expatescapeofficial  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don't know those exact phrases my self just yet haha. But I would recommend learning the number system in Vietnamese, 1-10. plus learn the words for all the big numbers, ie: 100, 1000, 10,000, 100,000 1,000,000. And also learn the order in which they are said. I'M HORRIBLE with languages but the number system was actually pretty easy to learn. But practice it everyday or its easy to loose it! There are a couple of great language teaching channels on TH-cam for Vietnam. I would do a TH-cam search and follow a couple of them. But remember you'll want to follow the ones that are teaching Vietnamese in the area you plan to travel too. The language/dialect is totally different between south, central and north Vietnam. So much so that the locals have told me they actually can't understand each other.

      Thank you!
      Actually yes Rebecca wanted to visit the Cat Caffee before we left Da Nang (Teaser:that will be in a future video!)
      We both loved it and hated it at the same time.
      It was nice to see all the cats in a warm place with food water and beds but other cat cafes we visited in the past had lots of cats that were in need of adoption so people could mingle with cats and hopefully find one to adopt, but the Catffe unfortunately was not an adoption. So the cats were constantly getting tortured and choked and hit by children (all of which we witnessed first hand) savage children with no manners or supervision and a lot of adults we witnessed there were just pestering and torturing the cats so bad that some cats actually had to resort to trying to bite the people so they would leave them alone. It got so bad we, and other people actually had to report children And adults to the staff for animal abuse. It was an all around bad experience and a definite DO NOT RECOMMEND. The cats are basically in jail all day getting constantly picked and prodded by people who have nothing better to do then torture animals for fun. We really didn't like it 👎

    I assume your camera stuff didn't arrive yet but , be aware they're gonna open it before they give it to you.

      haha she could sleep through armageddon 😂
      At some other stores we shopped at they required opening at the time of purchase, but at Tokyo Camera they didn't. We bought 3 items and got a 1 year in-store warranty on everything and didn't have to open anything or break any seals on the packaging before we left. We were quite surprised! Definitely have to recommend Tokyo Camera for that
