    Putting on the general's outfit and accent made this video a better experience than without the general's outfit and accent.

    9:03 You can always fortify ur troops, but then again it would be better to use that fortification to even out the troops between Brazil and Venezuela

    I disagree. I'm 68 and have been playing since I've been 8.
    I've been at risk parties and have played many top notch players. Usually 4 to 5 players.
    The Australian crawl is definitely a winning strategy. What winning comes down to are the turn it cards. You want to position yourself to be the one to put first player out of the game and get his cards. Normally at this point turn In is worth somewhere around 30 men. This is what it boils down to. Of course try to accumulate
    As many men as possible. I disagree with his when to turn in cards. I like to hold onto mine as long as possible, be flexible, there will be times you will want to turn in first, no set rule here. Make alliances but be ruthless. I almost always win even when players say they are going to team up on me. They can't help themselves their alliance usually breaks up at some point. I love this game and the banter that it creates. Great family game. Yu really get to know a person. Have fun

    On the topic of avoiding interior defensive armies, when playing Risk with a fixed card trade (3 soldiers will always be 4 troops, 3 cavalry 6 etc) I prefer guarding my bonuses from my allies with an interior stack that is greater than what they could amass on my border in a single turn. For example, if I hold North America and have an ongoing understanding with the South American player, if the SA player is generating 5 troops per turn, I will leave 15-20 or so more troops in the Western USA than they have in Venezuela while leaving Central America unguarded. This sends two messages. I am not interested in fighting with you and that if the opt to break me even a 10 trade on top of their 5 generative will not surpass my interior guard. They can break my bonus all they want, but I will be able to hit them back a lot harder. I’d much rather lose a single turn of my five bonus troops than allow my opponent to roll through a huge defensive stack.

    Asia would be possible to conquer in the mid-game only when there's a blizzard in Alaska or Kamchaka, you own Australia and all other players are in conflict in other parts of the world

  • @LokangoFreewar15
    @LokangoFreewar15 ปีที่แล้ว

    For Europe you just need 1 big stack to stay passive protecting the 3 territories below and 1 little stack to protect against North America. the bigger your passive stack, less people will mess with you

    Can you help me with a problem I have been experiencing playing Risk recently. Auto set up, fixed sets. At the start of some games players will let each other conquer a country and then will not invade each others country. They won't attack anyone but will just keep gathering armies. Turn after turn its the same thing no attacking, just collecting armies. I am a firm believer that weak players should attack the strongest player. But if I attack anyone's country then every other player will gang up against me...any suggestions?

      Sounds like you need to have a talk because it sounds like you and these people have different ideas of how the game should be played. Worst case you may need to find different people to play with if you are always the punching bag.
