    WOW! I have Tara shears and LOVE them except they were $950! (Which is why I probably won't by another set from them lol) I used to have swivel thumb years ago they're great for the first few years then the pivot screw gets loose and you find yourself swiveling when you don't want to... I've always used a 6 or a 6.5 but I want to go to a 7 blade now! In cosmetology as you well know longer blades are better unless you use shatter technique then I use a 5.5 from RocketDog. I'm looking into either the Dragon shears from Kamisori or a pair from Hikari. Do you recommend smaller than a 6" blade for barbering cause I'm not sure I can use a smaller blade for day to day cutting, because I'm like a ninja with longer blades because scissor over comb cutting rocks with a bigger blade! If I'm ever in your area I swear I have to stop by to be sure you aren't an alien or a machine because you've got mad skills! LOL

    What clippers do you use to cut a fade ? And what guards do I need to buy ? Give me a list of everything you got so I can buy it

      Pack Man not a good idea, everyone works best with different tools, you might hate everything he uses. It's best to experiment

      DIY is ruining the barber industry and making people have half assed fades. Go apprentice at a barbershop or go to school so u can figure out what tools work for YOU

    nice shears. sorry for offtopic but i have one question. I am a barber and i want to buy some new clippers for good for fading. I am from Europe so must work on 220v . I was thinking to choose between WAHL Super Taper and WAHL Icon. Which is best for fading? Do you have other recomandation? Thank you!

      Get the Wahl 5 star senior. They're really good for fading.

    5.99 ain't bad for a pair of shears... Usually companies will make shears that's a tiny bit different to the normal ones, spend an extra 10mins sharpening and quality checking then sell them for like 5x that of the regular shears, honestly I would have paided 50-60 for these, if I don't like them... No worries just give them an apprentice as a Christmas present.

    Hello! I really want to buy the double shark fin shears but I'm concerned about weight? Are they super heavy? Would it be possible to weight them?

    • @vicmoore29
      @vicmoore29  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      hello, I don't have a scale to weigh them on but I can tell you they're not too heavy but they are long and take a bit to adjust to. however they give a very clean cut even through really thick hair 👌✂

      victor moore you can choose a different size though, I'm used to 6 inch shears, but on the website, I believe they have 5.5 all the way to 7 inch in all models

      Depending on where you are, there's a shark fin distributor nearby. Let me know where you are, I'll get someone it contact. In general, no, the scissors are very light. The double and monarch will be the lightest because of the alloys they use

    I ordered mine, got the first pair in the multicolor didn’t like them sent back. Upgraded to more expensive shear and they don’t cut anything. I threw them in a drawer disgusted didn’t even bother to call them.

      Most japanese shears of any significant quality will cost between 300 and 600 dollars. Or at least any shear that is designed to hold an edge for any length of time
