My goodness! How interesting to see a different way of life. And that street barber was SO talented. I'm very impressed! Thank you for this view of the world, Hugh and Ravi! ❤
I LOVED this video, Hugh!! I hope we can get more like this in the future! I have so many questions and comments, I don't know where to begin. What a fantastic look deeper into the environment and culture. Superb!
hey this vid looked like you had a really fun adventure & ur tour guide was amazing. sorry I really laughed out loud IRL every time the guy sprayed water on your face while you were having a shave LOL
I think government need to focus on daravi slum because foreigners like slum areas more then tourist areas.so organized slum areas more for foreigners.
Great video, your guide was perfect and you were both so educational. Traveling isn't just about visiting all the beautiful or expensive places in the world, to understand a culture you should strive to be educated on all parts of it, amazing work.
Yeah its totally different from the zombie towns in us. Very shocking to foreigners as they have seen people live in wallmart tents in footpath but these slums are a very different large packet with tiny concrete houses and shops.
Really loved this video, watched it all which is saying something with my attention span. So informative! Great how you embrace the culture you are exploring
27:15 on right are turai (luffa) on left probably parval but could be luffa with no ridges ... by turai we usually mean ridged variety ... one luffa variety is grown for its strong fibrous skeleton ... it is processed to remove rest of organic pulp material and sold as body scrubber while taking shower
Love this inside look and how respectful and curious you are!! So interesting to see the plastic processing industry, there’s probably more actual recycling done there than here in the US 😅
Hugh, I can't stress how much I enjoyed this video, I would one million percent love to see more content like this! So so cool that you got someone to show you around like that, what an amazing genuinely lovely tour guide he was! Really good quality content man, keep it up, I really enjoy your videos 🙏🏻
I found your content on tiktok yesterday, love this longer form videos. Found this so informative and interesting! I visited Chennai on business in 2023 and what an awesome experience. Will you be traveling to southern India?
So interesting! Thank you for sharing and cheers to Ravi for being a great tour guide and generous host. 4ph for water feels impossible but a lot of the slum did too so who knows. I appreciate how respectful you were and always are of everywhere you visit. I’m not sure this kind of exploration would be possible or safe for me as a young female so I live vicariously through your videos and so appreciate them!
I really like it your video...but i also wanted to know how was you experience in india please share not only good things but what you don't like please share the genuine experience....
let him do his thing, It's his choice he can do whatever he wants. if he wants to explore let him explore. if he won't explore he won't get that view of seeing different world different experiences. and one more thing if he wanted to see only rich areas he wouldn't have left his own country.. sorry for my bad english.
Philippines 🇵🇭 has a bigger slum area too particularly tondo , Manila, batasan hills , Quezon City, payatas and etc : actually most of the small shacks are built above the polluted water 💧, cause it has a lot of garbages. This is one of the biggest problem of the Philippines 🇵🇭 that even up to now Government has still no resolution. But I guess India 🇮🇳 is a growing economy they're on a top 5 spot how come that they can't still eliminate slum or ghetto areas and relocate the people to a beautiful and comfortable houses ?
Government wants to make a modern infrastructure in dharavi but the people are stubborn, they are resisting, they are the root cause of the problem not the government, even govt assured them of flat to every individual but they themselves don't want
Government is ready but people are stubborn and not allowing to develop the slums😂. Sad reality of democracy. If it was china , they would never ask people, simply destroy it and built new buildings but in India you can't do that. Those people make case in court stop the development. You may think why people oppose the development. If it developed the. Those people lives there needs to pay tax😂. India is little complicated to understand.
By the way, my state Karnataka has almost similar population and land area as UK and has ancient historical places like Hampi. I hate the fact that most foreigner TH-camrs exclusively visit slums and ignore rest of the India.
In 15th century Europe area = India area Europe Population=India Population Then Europeans colonize and shifted their population from Europe to North America South America Australia New Zealand And on other hand india didn't colonize other countries+ losse land to Islamist in form of pakistan Bangladesh Today Because of colonization Europe have more natural resources and less population because they shifted their population from Europe to North America South America Australia New Zealand And india have more population less natural resources Today Europeans taunt india by saying overpopulated country And poor just because india didn't looted any other country and shifted their population This is why I say peace is never good for any country you should loot other countries European Population 1.4 Billion India population 1.4 billion But the difference is 50% European population live outside Europe in North America South America Australia and New Zealand
No matter how much hard work the people of other countries do, they still can't earn money equal to Europeans. I am talking about the majority of the people of a country, not a single person (GDP per capita). The top 50 richest countries in GDP per capita are European countries or oil-rich countries. The real reason Europeans occupy all of North America, South America, Australia, and New Zealand, controlling almost 50% of the world's area and natural resources. After World War II, Japan received $23 billion in aid, and Korea received $13 billion from America-these amounts are much higher in today’s value, though the exact numbers are unclear. Japan, Korea, and Taiwan became rich by becoming slaves of America (Europeans). These countries provided military bases to America and followed the same foreign policy as Europeans (for example, when the U.S. sanctioned Russia, Japan also sanctioned Russia). In exchange, America gave them prosperity through money, aid, technology transfer, factory setups, etc. For example, Taiwan is a small island country with a population of 10 million, but still, Taiwan is rich because of semiconductors. How did semiconductors come to Taiwan? Because of the USA. RCA (Radio Corporation of America) set up its semiconductor factory in Taiwan in: - 1966 (initially as a joint venture) - 1970 (as a wholly-owned subsidiary, RCA Taiwan Ltd.)

I knew it was going to be different when the video did not start with “oh wow. What are you selling here”
Mixing it up on YT 😂

Life is hard, hope dharavi would be organised in few years
Likewise, hopefully the development program has a positive impact.
Yeah its totally different from the zombie towns in us. Very shocking to foreigners as they have seen people live in wallmart tents in footpath but these slums are a very different large packet with tiny concrete houses and shops.

@@santhoshv3028 and also opposition supports slum people so that they can show to world that india has slums and govt is not doing any development
Online payment through upi is better and more convenient than carrying cash. You can make a reel about it. (Just a suggestion)❤
Jaipur?
I really like your content, and I am grateful that I was born in a European country
Glad you enjoyed the video 🙏🏻
Would you believe it there are some political parties and NGOs protesting the development projects of this slum?
By the way, my state Karnataka has almost similar population and land area as UK and has ancient historical places like Hampi. I hate the fact that most foreigner TH-camrs exclusively visit slums and ignore rest of the India.
Ths PPL r also not ready to be relocated fr development thts y ths slum will still remain
U know beer is cheap in Goa 💀

It reminds me of Garbage City in Cairo
In 15th century
Europe area = India area
Europe Population=India Population
Then Europeans colonize and shifted their population from Europe to North America South America Australia New Zealand
And on other hand india didn't colonize other countries+ losse land to Islamist in form of pakistan Bangladesh
Today
Because of colonization Europe have more natural resources and less population because they shifted their population from Europe to North America South America Australia New Zealand
And india have more population less natural resources
Today Europeans taunt india by saying overpopulated country
And poor just because india didn't looted any other country and shifted their population
This is why I say peace is never good for any country you should loot other countries
European Population 1.4 Billion
India population 1.4 billion
But the difference is 50% European population live outside Europe in North America South America Australia and New Zealand
No matter how much hard work the people of other countries do, they still can't earn money equal to Europeans. I am talking about the majority of the people of a country, not a single person (GDP per capita).

Hi hugh i like ur rating style and honest review i am inviting u to hyd if possible
Thanks for watching! I hope to visit Hyderabad soon.
Cleanliness is missing.
India is poor 2k GDP per capita country comes in poor category
Why because india have 20%of world population and 2% of world land area and natural resources
India population 1.4 billion
European population is also 1.4 billion
But they occupy Whole North America South America Australia and New Zealand 50% of World land area and natural resources
If Indians want to become rich with good GDP per capita and infrastructure indians need to conquer other countries
Best target Australia
Land area bigger than whole South Asia
Natural resources value 20 Trillon USD
Population 20 million (2crore)
Australians are Britishers who left United Kingdom 200 years ago by killing native Australians they occupy Australia and living a luxurious life
With GDP per capita of $65,966 (nominal; 2024) $69,475 PPP
Disclaimer:-
Don't reply me with giving example of other country there are other reasons behind it
In short
Japan taiwan korea rich- aid from usa
China-land area 3 time of india
In mainland China no war in last 70 years
India 5 war
Got my snacks ready to watch this! Love your videos.
Oh what kind of snacks?! Hope you enjoy!
