    Chassis inspection like is shown in this video is typically $500 and can go up if more hours are required. Another inspection testing all of the systems would be approximately another $500. For rates on filming your inspection, email me at ansautodetail@gmail.com

      Another great video. For a Prevost inspection, I would have expected more technical data for the A/C; instead of, it works/its cold. I would expect to return temperature data for return air temperature as well as outlet compressor temperature.

    Glad you posted this, gives a lot of insight as to what all goes on with these buses in terms of things that could go wrong. Especially things your average person would be clueless about it. Keep the videos coming.

    Thankyou, you have NO idea how much this appreciated. I is so hard to guess what is truthful and a right out lie. Why do I say this , because these bus/ coaches are taken in and we are told that everything is OK good to go ..... well if so you go over with a fine teeth comb, and you don't know how it got this far, so who was is sticking it to us. JUST SAYING..... yup have a d pusher.

    I got my used coach from a major area dealer. It needed work and I wanted things done that sort of threw them. So after some talking I did pump 20G in to it, but they came on a did more than I asked, like a remanufactured aquahot for starts

  • @NoGasWelcomeAboard
    @NoGasWelcomeAboard 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Next to your “How To Detailing” videos, probably one of your best. People need to understand that this was a basic exterior/mechanical inspection only, without fluids analysis. All the interior systems & road test are on completely different checklists. Suggest you post those those checklists, so everyone can see how thorough even a basic inspection needs to be. Soapy water works fine when searching for that BIG air leak. However, I was surprised Kyle is not using a Sonic Leak Detector to find those pesky smaller ones.

    Other right!! Fascinating video and information. Do you have a video of trade offs for used coaches and repairs to keep it in optimal condition? Is it worth saving on purchase and spending on repairs vs. spending more on purchase and hoping little repairs down the road. Also what's the usual life expectancy of the coach, both the body and systems as well as the motor? What is salvaged when it's past life?

    Hey Andrew, Love the videos please keep em coming! It would be really dope if you made it a standard to let us all know on every coach if the tag axle is 1. Steerable aswell as 2. Liftable. I Know alot of the H3-45 -X2 Entertainer Prevosts have Liftable tag axles but however they are steerable - Thanks

    If you do have an area of paint checking, what is the repair?

  • @docholiday1034
    @docholiday1034 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Tires date codes,engine oil sample,trans sample ,dip the coolant for PHand test drive. Always no matter what deduct engine belts,tensioners,idlers.Complete lube and engine service with filters no matter what seller says. Than during your 2-5 hours run thru with seller have generator running and most of the coach turned on with all AC running. RADIATOR..turbo connections. I personally would also price in complete wheel and bearing removal to get in deep. Plan on 9-20k if you cant do the work yourself for dependability.Rather see a 85-100k mile coach than a 24k. All this being 8 plus year old coach. Really need to spend a day or more for a detailed inspection so at 125 per hour 1200-1800 inspection is peanuts...good starter vid👍👍👍 But it gets much more involved.

    • @slewofdamascus
      @slewofdamascus 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      totally agree about the mileage variant, there's a point when less is more (trouble), and one can do a vg visual inspection with minimal mechanical aptitude to get a feel for how the bus was maintained. You detail every nook and cranny and often you can avoid paying a grand and more for a test that's likely to be a fail. Of course, if they pass the visual inspection then you can have the real expert do his thing. If I'm spending $100k or more, $1k is insurance well spent for the peace of mind in knowing where one stands. Checking for air pressure leaks is huge with these 3 and 4 sliders. Seals are not able to last forever. They are subject to heat and time, and that's another area to consider when buying a rig - where was this kept, if outside, what are the weather variants for that area? If it's Las Vegas, some things are going to fail sooner in that wretched environment.

    It's amazing that they trust only those lifts and they have no Jack's underneath it for extra security I don't know how they do it nerves of Steel

    • @danbellamy6677
      @danbellamy6677 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      those wheel lifts have steel locking tabs/dogs, that drop into place about every 4" of lift. So each lift unit is its own jack stand. You have redundancy, you have the hydraulic lift cylinder, and the steel dogs, that are auto deploying as you lift the wheels. this shop has the older style that are cable connected, you will see a cable drooping in one of the cargo door inspections, that cable connects each of the lift unit, so all will lift or lower together. the more modern ones are wireless. these lifts are very pricey.
