I once saw an old car in someone back yard I was young in the Teens, I asked the owner about the car he said, it ran about 1 yr ago and was parked in the yard ever since, I ask him what he wanted for the vehicle he said, How much money do you have in your pocket? I looked it was $25.00 he said, Ok! I filled the tires with Air, replaced one lug nut & a new battery and the car ran for 2 yrs then decided to sell it a student came by and asked what I wanted for the car, I said, how much money do you have in you pocket? he said, $66.00 I said, Ok! made alittle money off the deal! Been there buddy. I flew from Oregon down to California last year for a County Coach that was in “pristine” condition. Flights, 70 mile uber trips, and hotel stay; all to find a coach with a huge crack in the fiberglass roof and cabinets hanging off the walls from water damage. I had to chuckle at Louis’ trip out to STL. I flew out there last month for a beautiful CC Intrigue that was perfectly maintained, in prestige condition, and carried a lot of sentimental value and love with it. When I got there, it was EXACTLY as represented. I drove it the 2200 miles home to Oregon without a single issue or hiccup. I only wish I would have recorded the journey. Keep trying brother, you’ll find your gem.
I just made a RV buyers mistake purchased a 2018 Thor Outlaw from Lazydays Tampa Florida. When I got home I noticed the leveling jack attached to a bent sub-frame. When I contacted Lazydays, they said it wasn’t their problem. So in short, regardless of an RV dealers reputation, they unfortunately can & will take advantage of you and not care when you drive away....
7:10 We have just under 4,000 gallons of diesel on our 76' yacht. We have to make sure we polish and treat the fuel correctly between all 5 fuel tanks and keep fuel moving around when we have some down time. You don't want to be in the middle of the pacific ocean and run into bad fuel for sure, you can't pull over and call AAA. Have to keep a very large supply of spare fuel filters as well for main engines and generators. Keep up the good work sir! 👍😁
I drove all the way to Colorado, over 1,000 miles one way to buy an RV. Walked the owner through EXACTLY what I was going to look at, and told them to check those things first on their end. They called back after "doing" the pre-inspection for me. Needless to say, I got there, it only took me less than 5 minutes to know the RV was bad news, in terrible condition with MAJOR issues. I walked away and drove home.

Someone in the comments below called the seller a "liar". A little harsh! Remember, the guy is 87 years old. People of a certain age tend to lose grip on the reality of certain situations. To him, that coach represented memories and experiences and his monetary value on the coach was skewed by his memories. It was difficult for him to see this possession referred to as junk. This is another life lesson....dealing with the very old can be like navigating in a fog....his fog. Doesn't make him a bad guy just really freaking old. Respect my friends...respect! You and I will be in his shoes ..... quickly. Life is short!

This has been a great video. People thinking about buying a coach should watch this video. You dont always get a good inspection by a professional INSPECTOR. I paid almost $300.00 for an inspection and was told it was good to go. Everything checked out good. I got about 400 miles from home and started feeling a bump in a front tire. I ask about these tires before starting out . Was told that he checked the air in every tire. Its late about 11pm and I pull over to check these tires. There is a knot on the passenger side front tire. So I go inspecting all the tires . After checking them for air I find no air in a inside rear tire. I start looking and there is a hole in the tire you could put your hand in . As you know all kind of these could have happened with that tire, it could have come off. Tearing up all kinds of things. I called GOOD SAM EMERGENCY ROAD SERVICE . It was going to be morning before I could get someone there because of where I was. This coach was only 2 years old when I purchased it with 33000 miles on it. After my trip , I go back to where I bought ut and said those tires on the coach a front tire had a knot and a rear tire had a hole in it. I looked him right in the face and said I told you that I wanted to check the air in the tires before leaving and you told me that I didn't need to because you had your guys check them all. They laughed and said Don , tell me what you hit or run over . I said nothing. Anyway , I paid for an inspection , and was told by the seller that they checked it and lied. Buyer beware. Other than that its a good coach.

I didn’t know that you did that so I’ll certainly think of you when I make a meaty purchase of my next, REAL RV. I don’t wanna have any issues if I’m laying down $20-50K+ Stay safe out there.

What I learned from your video is that I would rather go to a dependable dealership for a used coach then travel to an owner. Sometimes you may possibly get a good deal, but I’ll rather go to a place where I know I’m getting a good bus.

Andrew Considering your video discussion about water in fuel. Having owned a sport fishing boat with Cat diesels was that I always used a microbioside (Biobor) in the fuel. It keeps the water and algae down and a boat has a lot of down time. I never had any issues in the 23 years that I owned it. ,
I had the same thing happen so many times to me when I was looking for my coach. Luckily I spotted one on the side of the highway coming back from viewing a crappy Monaco. It took a lot of patience and a lot of “no thank you’s” but I definitely found my coach! I’m making a TH-cam channel about it and all the renovations and tech updates as well. Called “The Extreme Gulfstream”.. i’ve only got an intro video up at the moment. But watch for lots of good stuff! 😎
Patience is your friend Andrew. RV Trader, Ebay, FB are your friends. Plenty of options out there. Just take your time. Same thing happened to me! I use to own my own AV & automation company, I was feature in a magazine a few times and did freelance articles for them. I got a call for an estimate in Manhattan for a theater. I took my construction contractor with me. It was some older, a bit eccentric, guy, who just wanted to meet me! Boy did I feel bad I dragged my contractor with me! But he was good about it! At least you only wasted your time, however, you never know what comes out of life when you explore all possibilities!
I bought a truck with very low miles. It had maintenance records and very well taken care of. But because it was not used I had a lot of seals that had dried from no use and started to leak once I started to use it.
I paid $3610 titled for my 1984 lemirage that had been sitting for 20 years. I put two battery's in it and drove it home all of 3.5 miles. All Ive done so far is put a new i beam hinge in and a bay door back on. The flexsteel seats in it cost more then i paid for the bus. Its a conversion that needed wired up and finish work. All the parts in it are new and have never been used or turned on. I can handle all the work it needs. I sold a forklift I was given and had repaired to purchase the bus. Forklift had a “rod knock”. I fixed the “knock” by putting the spark plug wire leads all the way into the distributer cap. Some “technician” failed to do so when they tuned it up.
I would strongly recommend anyone planning to buy a luxury RV to spend 5% of that amount on tech classes on diesel engine maintenance and other basic mechanical stuff. Will be the best money they have ever spent. They can also do their own inspections on the spot and recognise and good (or bad) deal when they see it. Step #1: Start on the roof.
They ate the wires on the way to the toilet paper!! If I found one chewed wire on a coach then it’s game over. They don’t chew just one but they do jump around here and there when they chew.

I feel your pain, I got burn on a truck that my son wanted to buy, we did not. My father was a pilot in WW2 in the south pacific, this is what he taught me. Pilots have a check list, make up a check list that is important to you about a coach. I spent a year looking on line at coaches , before we bought. here are some of my list. looking for a one owner, garaged, up grades, miles, how old are the tires, last oil change, why are you selling it. Pictures, Pictures, Pictures 25 to 30 of them, of the odometer, invoice, your a smart guy, and know the industry. take your time and remember everyone you look at will give you a comparison, so when a good deal comes along you will know it. good luck

Andrew I went to Holland, Michigan to buy a monaco executive from a tire dealer. All tires with a different date code. Should of been a flag but the low miles still had me. Then I showed up and the coach was leaning west. Slide stalled while going out. Should of been another clue but the interior was nice. You got to interpret questions and NOT let emotions get involved especially with today inflated prices.
Andrew, I envy you so much. You seriously have my dream job. I have been infatuated with the prevost coaches ever since I learned what they were. If I see one, regardless of where I am, I have to stop and look at it. I'm sorry this happened to you as I know you would like to own a prevost. Trust me, me too. However I'm a hard working blue collar that will most likely never get that opportunity unless I hit a windfall with the lottery. DO NOT FEEL BAD! The lesson learned, is beyond valuable. If you did not have to travel far, it would not be a second thought. Next time, get the owner to do a full FaceTime, LIVE walk around and full interior FaceTime, with the Coach running. Ask to have some of the very recent service records and call the shop for verification. Due diligence and a cooperative seller, offering as much preliminary assistance, before you ROAD TRIP it, is a must. People buy cars from across the country, and guess what? The car arrives in perfect condition in every way, EXCEPT it was a heavy smokers car. Good luck getting rid of that smell. You know the deal, as a detailer. Lesson learned. Experienced gained. Great content to share. Do not beat yourself up.

A lot of sellers will lie through their teeth. We got burned on our first fifth wheel purchase. We were just too uninformed and inexperienced. Now we are considering buying a motorhome, and we have no experience to draw on. I'm glad for your content, so I can learn.

Wow sorry to hear that Andrew. Next time have somebody walk around it with a camera do a virtual. I FaceTime with the owner for about an hour. That's what I did with mine. It's not like seeing it hands on but it will give you a good idea whether you should continue any further with it. We live and learn.
Funny you say that it needs miles on the coach. We just bought a newmar dutchstar with very low miles and of course first few trips I got error codes. We took to freightliner and of course now idea what is wrong. Long story short we have used the coach all summer and all issues have fix themselves. Computers sometimes need to be run. So far we have put 5000 miles on it and now its running great. No repairs.
A Google Earth view of his address might have given you a clue on some of the hoarder issues and general condition of the property. I've used this technique before and it can yield good results.
Kinda had the same experience with an RV our first one. Drove eight hours to look at a friends brothers RV. It’s was a of junk. Told him we would go grab lunch and discuss it as a family and get back to him. Not..
I really, really wanted a 1998 Southwind Storm with a specific floor plan. Hard to find. Flew from LA to West Virginia. First clue that it had been misrepresented was the tags expired 3 years earlier, but the owner said that wouldn't be a problem driving it through 8 states to get it home. Per owner, all I had to do was show them my bill of sale, and they would send me on my way. Right. Once inside, it became clear the expired tags would have been the least of my problems. Second one was only 40 miles away. I met what turned out to be a broker in a gas station, and he took me to the RV, parked in an industrial area with two meth-heads living in it. They were very proud that they had finally found the last rat carcass from the fumigation. Literally couldn't get into the bedroom because of all the stuff packed in it. I asked multiple questions along the lines of, "Where are the controls for the heater," and the answer was always the same: "We have them and will put them back on. This coach will be better than new when we give it to you." Bunches of different things missing, all with the same answer. Pretty sure they were out for a sizable deposit, and I'd probably never actually get delivery. I finally bought my dream coach. Price was great and everything checked out. Except there was one fluid I didn't check, coolant. Had I tried, I would not have been able to get the radiator cap off because it was glued shut with some kind of stop-leak sealant. After paying for a head gasket replacement, the price wasn't such a good deal anymore. Oh, and it initially had problems passing smog. It had gone to the east coast where there were no emissions tests, and the cats had been gutted. It is *now* the coach of my dreams.
It is always a surprise is it not? Life every day for it's ups and downs...and getting an inspection from someone the dealer does not know..if doing it from far away...that takes research too..how to even find them,,there is so much involved..you will find it when you are to find it..be well..and your trajectory and what you are doing will bring you right to it.
Well he was 87 years old Andrew said. That would have been a huge RED flag for me. Probably couldnt do much traveling or maintenance at that point. Just saying. Thanks for atleast hearing the mans storytelling that was prob worth the trip all in its self. Peace light n love😀💥
I'm not sure why you would travel that far without having some recent video's taken from the seller. I realize he's elderly but you could have asked him to have a relative or friend shoot some videos. I wish you would have shown us some of the photos of the bus, it's always nice to put pictures to the story. Thank you for the helpful information especially with the rodents when looking for a bus..

SO sorry about your experience! You did the right thing by walking away. I have not owned a coach just yet, but I have a lot of experience with large twin diesel boats that have often been sitting unused like you and Dave were talking about. Luxury toys often get neglected as they age. In boats, we always have the fuel polished in all tanks before taking a trip if a boat has been sitting. I don't know if they do this on coaches that have been sitting, but that eliminates many fuel related issues. I always bring a case (or two) of fuel filters with me on the first trip, even after fuel polishing because big waves at sea will shake up any sediment on the tank bottom and clog up fuel filters or worse, mess up injectors. I always use a fuel stabilizer to combat algae growth, but one huge bit of advice I would give to all coach owners especially when their coach is going to sit unused for any period of time is to always keep your fuel tanks full. The only way that moisture can get into the fuel is through the air in a tank, so if it is full of fuel, there is no room for air for moisture to get in! If it has fuel stabilizer in it, no algae. Diesel does not varnish up like gasoline does and can last many many times longer than gasoline, so I just thought you might appreciate that info. Granted, over the road diesel is ultra low sulfur and doesn't last as quite long as the red dyed diesel that we use in boats. You did the right thing by passing due to rodent damage, etc, but my point is don't be scared of a bus that has been sitting just because of the fuel system. I hope to get a late 2000's Newell P2000i (LOVE the interior woodwork, just like yacht interiors) someday to cruise on the roads during hurricane season when I cannot cruise on my boat, and I cannot thank you enough for educating us about them. The systems are eerily similar to the systems on large luxury boats, but on boats we often have two or more of everything for redundancy such as engines and generators, etc so I feel I will probably take to coaches fairly well when I do get one. two days ago we went to look at a used rv. Online it looked great and we were enthusiastic about seeing it. Well, first thing we noted were mice/rat feces on the floor and signs of rodent damage to the mattress on the bunk above the cockpit. Then noticed water damage in the bedroom that was mostly pointed out to us by the salesman. He then stated he had never looked at the rv himself but that he could not recommend buying that rv to us or anybody. Rare honesty in the rv sales business. We did a hard pass, haven't bought anything yet but we will remember this guy and hopefully do business with him in the future. They only had one other rv in our price range so no sale now but possibly in the future.
Andrew the question you should of ask was to me. I'm in NJ and it would be 'can you go check out this RV for me'. Dead serious. That bus might be worth a few grand as long as it will drive to the junk yard

I just bought an 05 Monaco Windsor 38’ with 100k miles on it for $63k. My buddy bought an 05 Dynasty 40’ with 50k miles for $95k. I think I got the better deal. Like Andrew I’m not afraid of 100k miles cuz the diesel is obviously good for thousands and thousands more miles. So if the water heater goes bad or a water pump or AC those are in the hundreds to fix not thousands. Edit: Btw I bought mine from a guy that kept meticulous records, fixed everything and it was immaculate. My buddy bought Dynasty sight unseen from a dealer and has fixed all manner of stuff including the pain in the ass Aquahot. I would not have Aquahot if they paid me.

Have you ever looked at goodson bus sales?? Theres also bus conversion MAGAZINE that has some very nice coaches! And there's wanderlodge to consider as well! Happy hunting!

Cam McLean I’m out this year for the same reason. We have health issues. We cannot afford to get sick at all. We both just retired and had big plans too. We were at Pine Mtn last year too.
Before travelling I would ask for photos, when was the last time it was driven, maintenance records, and get a local inspection. With this Covid crisis, a shortage of RVs, unfortunately some peoples just take advantage of the situation.
Been there done that, from Texas to California.....took two hours when I arrived in San Bernardino (I think it was)...to get to where they guy was.. had to text then call multiple times...and finally got him to answer.... took him another hour for the seller to arrive......and the condition was less than the photos...forgot to mention it needed tires.....still...I offered to buy it....then came the moment of truth... May I see the title please and we can seal the deal........ Well..... (here we go)...he doesn't have it with him but will mail it. See ya....... Oy
One thing I was thinking at lunch time. That I wanted to say was. Always worth a Facetime Video Walkthrough from the seller to give u a thurall ideal of what it looks like. Pics can go so far but a video and start up I think that would be worth it for sure.

It's amazing how people will represent something they are selling. Looked at a camper. I asked what kind of repairs and wear and does it have / need. Nothing, like new. I go and look, literally has a hole rotted in the ceiling with daylight. I asked several times about the condition and told them I was driving 2.5 hrs to go look. When I saw the hole, I was so pissed I just got in the car and left. Didn't say anything. They started texting me they could negotiate on price, then they said if I expected perfection I should look at new. Lol or you could say there is a fucking hole in the roof the size of a dinner plate!
Andrew - sorry for this experience but we all grow through them. Maybe get them to do a video walkthrough of the coach for you as a first step next time.

They laughed and said Don , tell me what you hit or run over . I said nothing. Anyway , I paid for an inspection , and was told by the seller that they checked it and lied. Buyer beware. Other than that its a good coach.
It sounds like the Inspector was connected to the seller.

What I learned from your video is that I would rather go to a dependable dealership for a used coach then travel to an owner. Sometimes you may possibly get a good deal, but I’ll rather go to a place where I know I’m getting a good bus.

Considering your video discussion about water in fuel. Having owned a sport fishing boat with Cat diesels was that I always used a microbioside (Biobor) in the fuel. It keeps the water and algae down and a boat has a lot of down time. I never had any issues in the 23 years that I owned it.

I had the same thing happen so many times to me when I was looking for my coach. Luckily I spotted one on the side of the highway coming back from viewing a crappy Monaco. It took a lot of patience and a lot of “no thank you’s” but I definitely found my coach! I’m making a TH-cam channel about it and all the renovations and tech updates as well. Called “The Extreme Gulfstream”.. i’ve only got an intro video up at the moment. But watch for lots of good stuff! 😎

Patience is your friend Andrew. RV Trader, Ebay, FB are your friends. Plenty of options out there. Just take your time. Same thing happened to me! I use to own my own AV & automation company, I was feature in a magazine a few times and did freelance articles for them. I got a call for an estimate in Manhattan for a theater. I took my construction contractor with me. It was some older, a bit eccentric, guy, who just wanted to meet me! Boy did I feel bad I dragged my contractor with me! But he was good about it! At least you only wasted your time, however, you never know what comes out of life when you explore all possibilities!

I bought a truck with very low miles. It had maintenance records and very well taken care of. But because it was not used I had a lot of seals that had dried from no use and started to leak once I started to use it.
I paid $3610 titled for my 1984 lemirage that had been sitting for 20 years. I put two battery's in it and drove it home all of 3.5 miles. All Ive done so far is put a new i beam hinge in and a bay door back on. The flexsteel seats in it cost more then i paid for the bus. Its a conversion that needed wired up and finish work. All the parts in it are new and have never been used or turned on. I can handle all the work it needs. I sold a forklift I was given and had repaired to purchase the bus. Forklift had a “rod knock”. I fixed the “knock” by putting the spark plug wire leads all the way into the distributer cap. Some “technician” failed to do so when they tuned it up.
I would strongly recommend anyone planning to buy a luxury RV to spend 5% of that amount on tech classes on diesel engine maintenance and other basic mechanical stuff. Will be the best money they have ever spent. They can also do their own inspections on the spot and recognise and good (or bad) deal when they see it. Step #1: Start on the roof.

I feel your pain, I got burn on a truck that my son wanted to buy, we did not. My father was a pilot in WW2 in the south pacific, this is what he taught me. Pilots have a check list, make up a check list that is important to you about a coach. I spent a year looking on line at coaches , before we bought. here are some of my list. looking for a one owner, garaged, up grades, miles, how old are the tires, last oil change, why are you selling it. Pictures, Pictures, Pictures 25 to 30 of them, of the odometer, invoice, your a smart guy, and know the industry. take your time and remember everyone you look at will give you a comparison, so when a good deal comes along you will know it. good luck

I went to Holland, Michigan to buy a monaco executive from a tire dealer. All tires with a different date code. Should of been a flag but the low miles still had me. Then I showed up and the coach was leaning west. Slide stalled while going out. Should of been another clue but the interior was nice. You got to interpret questions and NOT let emotions get involved especially with today inflated prices.
What a bummer! But a good learning experience for your subs.👍🏻

Andrew, I envy you so much. You seriously have my dream job. I have been infatuated with the prevost coaches ever since I learned what they were. If I see one, regardless of where I am, I have to stop and look at it.
I'm sorry this happened to you as I know you would like to own a prevost. Trust me, me too. However I'm a hard working blue collar that will most likely never get that opportunity unless I hit a windfall with the lottery.
Although I envy you, I wish you well and wish you luck finding one that will fit you.

DO NOT FEEL BAD! The lesson learned, is beyond valuable. If you did not have to travel far, it would not be a second thought. Next time, get the owner to do a full FaceTime, LIVE walk around and full interior FaceTime, with the Coach running. Ask to have some of the very recent service records and call the shop for verification. Due diligence and a cooperative seller, offering as much preliminary assistance, before you ROAD TRIP it, is a must. People buy cars from across the country, and guess what? The car arrives in perfect condition in every way, EXCEPT it was a heavy smokers car. Good luck getting rid of that smell. You know the deal, as a detailer. Lesson learned. Experienced gained. Great content to share. Do not beat yourself up.

A lot of sellers will lie through their teeth. We got burned on our first fifth wheel purchase. We were just too uninformed and inexperienced. Now we are considering buying a motorhome, and we have no experience to draw on. I'm glad for your content, so I can learn.

Wow sorry to hear that Andrew. Next time have somebody walk around it with a camera do a virtual. I FaceTime with the owner for about an hour. That's what I did with mine. It's not like seeing it hands on but it will give you a good idea whether you should continue any further with it. We live and learn.

Funny you say that it needs miles on the coach. We just bought a newmar dutchstar with very low miles and of course first few trips I got error codes. We took to freightliner and of course now idea what is wrong. Long story short we have used the coach all summer and all issues have fix themselves. Computers sometimes need to be run. So far we have put 5000 miles on it and now its running great. No repairs.

A Google Earth view of his address might have given you a clue on some of the hoarder issues and general condition of the property. I've used this technique before and it can yield good results.

Kinda had the same experience with an RV our first one. Drove eight hours to look at a friends brothers RV. It’s was a of junk. Told him we would go grab lunch and discuss it as a family and get back to him. Not..
I really, really wanted a 1998 Southwind Storm with a specific floor plan. Hard to find. Flew from LA to West Virginia. First clue that it had been misrepresented was the tags expired 3 years earlier, but the owner said that wouldn't be a problem driving it through 8 states to get it home. Per owner, all I had to do was show them my bill of sale, and they would send me on my way. Right. Once inside, it became clear the expired tags would have been the least of my problems.
Second one was only 40 miles away. I met what turned out to be a broker in a gas station, and he took me to the RV, parked in an industrial area with two meth-heads living in it. They were very proud that they had finally found the last rat carcass from the fumigation. Literally couldn't get into the bedroom because of all the stuff packed in it. I asked multiple questions along the lines of, "Where are the controls for the heater," and the answer was always the same: "We have them and will put them back on. This coach will be better than new when we give it to you." Bunches of different things missing, all with the same answer. Pretty sure they were out for a sizable deposit, and I'd probably never actually get delivery.
I finally bought my dream coach. Price was great and everything checked out. Except there was one fluid I didn't check, coolant. Had I tried, I would not have been able to get the radiator cap off because it was glued shut with some kind of stop-leak sealant. After paying for a head gasket replacement, the price wasn't such a good deal anymore. Oh, and it initially had problems passing smog. It had gone to the east coast where there were no emissions tests, and the cats had been gutted. It is *now* the coach of my dreams.

Life every day for it's ups and downs...and getting an inspection from someone the dealer does not know..if doing it from far away...that takes research too..how to even find them,,there is so much involved..you will find it when you are to find it..be well..and your trajectory and what you are doing will bring you right to it.

I'm not sure why you would travel that far without having some recent video's taken from the seller. I realize he's elderly but you could have asked him to have a relative or friend shoot some videos. SO sorry about your experience! You did the right thing by walking away. I have not owned a coach just yet, but I have a lot of experience with large twin diesel boats that have often been sitting unused like you and Dave were talking about. Luxury toys often get neglected as they age. In boats, we always have the fuel polished in all tanks before taking a trip if a boat has been sitting. I don't know if they do this on coaches that have been sitting, but that eliminates many fuel related issues. I always bring a case (or two) of fuel filters with me on the first trip, even after fuel polishing because big waves at sea will shake up any sediment on the tank bottom and clog up fuel filters or worse, mess up injectors. I always use a fuel stabilizer to combat algae growth, but one huge bit of advice I would give to all coach owners especially when their coach is going to sit unused for any period of time is to always keep your fuel tanks full. The only way that moisture can get into the fuel is through the air in a tank, so if it is full of fuel, there is no room for air for moisture to get in! If it has fuel stabilizer in it, no algae. Diesel does not varnish up like gasoline does and can last many many times longer than gasoline, so I just thought you might appreciate that info. Granted, over the road diesel is ultra low sulfur and doesn't last as quite long as the red dyed diesel that we use in boats. You did the right thing by passing due to rodent damage, etc, but my point is don't be scared of a bus that has been sitting just because of the fuel system.
I hope to get a late 2000's Newell P2000i (LOVE the interior woodwork, just like yacht interiors) someday to cruise on the roads during hurricane season when I cannot cruise on my boat, and I cannot thank you enough for educating us about them. The systems are eerily similar to the systems on large luxury boats, but on boats we often have two or more of everything for redundancy such as engines and generators, etc so I feel I will probably take to coaches fairly well when I do get one.

two days ago we went to look at a used rv. Online it looked great and we were enthusiastic about seeing it. Well, first thing we noted were mice/rat feces on the floor and signs of rodent damage to the mattress on the bunk above the cockpit. Then noticed water damage in the bedroom that was mostly pointed out to us by the salesman. He then stated he had never looked at the rv himself but that he could not recommend buying that rv to us or anybody. Rare honesty in the rv sales business. We did a hard pass, haven't bought anything yet but we will remember this guy and hopefully do business with him in the future. They only had one other rv in our price range so no sale now but possibly in the future.

I just bought an 05 Monaco Windsor 38’ with 100k miles on it for $63k. My buddy bought an 05 Dynasty 40’ with 50k miles for $95k. I think I got the better deal. Like Andrew I’m not afraid of 100k miles cuz the diesel is obviously good for thousands and thousands more miles. So if the water heater goes bad or a water pump or AC those are in the hundreds to fix not thousands.
Edit: Btw I bought mine from a guy that kept meticulous records, fixed everything and it was immaculate. My buddy bought Dynasty sight unseen from a dealer and has fixed all manner of stuff including the pain in the ass Aquahot. I would not have Aquahot if they paid me.

It's amazing how people will represent something they are selling. Looked at a camper. I asked what kind of repairs and wear and does it have / need. Nothing, like new. I go and look, literally has a hole rotted in the ceiling with daylight. I asked several times about the condition and told them I was driving 2.5 hrs to go look. When I saw the hole, I was so pissed I just got in the car and left. Didn't say anything. They started texting me they could negotiate on price, then they said if I expected perfection I should look at new. Lol or you could say there is a fucking hole in the roof the size of a dinner plate!

In a Dessel truck there is a liquid you add to the fuel that eats the algae and then if possible you drain the fuel and add Clean fuel
