I just saw your Essaoura video, which do you prefer of the two? I found myself vibing more with Essaouira over Marrakech though...prices in the souks where also much better and less hassles.
Good for you Dannielle. You need to dive into the deep end; only way to get comfy with being uncomfortable as a solo traveling. Great video, super accent! I would trade my Northern NJ accent with yours in a second LOL.
I'm from marrakesh, I like your video, keep it up :), to avoid scamers stay in tourist places where you feel safe. and believe me when those scamers gets near to you guys we also watch them and we will definiteley stop them if they do anything bad to you

Nice video. Have you been to other Morocco cities, like Fez and Chefchaouen? Marrakech seemed a bit more modern to me than Fez, for example. There are no motorcycles in Fez medina and it gves real medieval vibe.

@@shinebright048 amazing and couldn't recommend it enough, felt safe walking around anywhere I went at any time.. didn't get bothered anywhere near as much as I have in other places and everyone is quite polite in taking your "no" food was amazing, atmosphere was amazing..
Everyone loves a travel horror story, from my experience most aren't true or massively exaggerated.

It's a safe place, so if you stay with people nothing will happen to you like everywhere in the wolrd, also there's tourists security in the city

How long do you recommended going to marrakech for?

When I went to Marrakech, I was there for about 4 days and I felt like it was enough time to see what I wanted to see, feel the culture, eat the food, etc. I went to other places like Fes, Assilah, Rabat and Casablanca which all felt like a more authentic experience. I really enjoyed my time in Marrakech, but it is for sure the most touristy place you can go to in Morocco. So just do your research on what interests you the most before you decide to book your trip. Also note that cities are much farther away that you might think, so look into transportation options! In the markets it is overselling all the things you get to smell. The spices are my favorite. They have little shops that you can go in and buy spices, now every time I cook with them, it reminds me of my trip. I love that.

Of course it's safe
you can't feel safe even in USA.
When I went there as a solo female traveler, I always felt safe. As long as you are being smart and using common sense. The people are kind. Salesmen can be a little pushy, but overall, I felt safe there. Having a local guide is also a very helpful thing to do!
It’s very safe specially for tourists, i’m moroccan and the only thing you should worry about it is people trying to sell you things else therés no problem you’re safe and most welcome
