He gets them new( probably two pcs, so he can use the spare parts) and damages them on purpose. Restoring is easy, when the you choose ehat to damage and can buy a spare donor toy from store. Getting a vintage one and restoring it properly is where the real game is. ONE PERSON. in 2 entire 30+ hours walkthroughs. im sick of people exaggerating and overmemeing the bugs in this game, and the incredible amount of people pretending to actually own the game but complaining about how bad it is, even though they never played it, pisses me off.
Your artistic modeling ability to make the cars look worn and damaged is just as good as your ability to "fix them" and make the look restored. It is awesome to watch your modeling skills.

None of the metal bodies ever have any actual damage or pitting, and somehow he conveniently always has the exact right parts needed for his specific car. Oh ya......because he bought the model and actually has all the parts. The skills used in these videos are really good. Absolutely fantastic modeling and attention to detail, but these are not "garage finds" or "flee market finds" or "backyard finds".

hehe yes most of these "restores" are just kit builds and then aged to appear like a restore. restores are more popular in youtube than regular builds, so with a little editing you can do some magic. regardless, always very fine builds and model aging in this channel.
Definitely two seperate cars. Check out the amount of paint on the "Destroyed" one, then look at 3:28 where he shows the paint stripper in action, there is definitely more paint on the car than the one he originally scrubbed.
There is only one model. What's the point in removing paint from two identical models? It's hard for me to prove something to people who are far from art
