I totally respect your approach to diet and exercise . However I lost my 92 year old mom last year at this time and her philosophy was have at least 1 or 2 cookies at the end of each meal. She stayed at her high school weight all her life and later in life did Silver Sneakers and walked. We told her "Use it or lose it" and she walked the halls in assisted living with her walker several times a day! I am 68 and have learned that so much of life is out of our control, no matter what we do or not do. However, your videos are a blessing and give inspiration to us women in many different ways!
One or two cookies a day isn’t much. Many people cannot stop. I can easily eat a sleeve of cookies a day, so I eat dessert once a week. 🤣. I think previous generations had much more self control because their brains hasn’t been so conditioned with ultraproccesed foods from childhood.
Also, my mom ate a bowl of ice cream every night for years. She died from COPD in her late 70’s, but she was a tiny little thing - had lost all her muscle mass and much of her bone mass from inactivity. She got down to 85 pounds but was usually around 90 or 95. If I are a bowl of ice cream every night, I would gain weight because I exercise hard or lift weights daily, have an active job, eat nutrient dense foods including nuts and seeds, and simply have a bigger appetite. I typically eat one filling brunch, one dinner, and an after dinner snack. I eat 95% whole foods - food I make myself and often grow myself. And losing this five pounds of fat is proving very difficult.
Hi Angie! I just turned 55, & am a single school teacher mom of 17 & 19 year old. I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate about you. You give me hope for my future & make things seem doable. You give practical options. So often I watch & just feel overwhelmed by people's resources & ways of doing things. It may seem silly- but your downstairs work out area looking so normal & not instaram designed perfect or not having a masher, make u feel so real! Thank you, truly! kate
I am 59 and have been with a trainer for 8 months. I do much the same workout except I also do stability & mobility training as well. Balancing on each foot and lifting as per Dr Peter Attia. As we age, one of the most dangerous things is tripping and/or falling….as simple as stepping down a step and losing your balance. Great video❤
I want to say that I’ve seen her do stability training with a dumbbell on her shoulder but I could be confusing her with someone else. If you haven’t tried Pilates, it’s great for those things and focuses on deep core strength. I absolutely love it.
This is my favorite video you have ever done :) I am 55 yrs. old and had a heart attack. I was under way to much stress and was eating a very unhealthy diet. I am slim but I really enjoyed what you eat in a day. I do not like Keto at all and I never stick to it. I wrote everything down that you made. I enjoyed this very much Angie!!! Thank you!!!
I use my Bellicon rebounder to maintain my bone health. NASA found that rebounding was the fastest and most efficient way to restore bone loss from the astronauts being in space. It's also good for lymphatic drainage, pelvic floor, etc. To tone my arms while jumping I strap on Bela bangles. Thanks for the tips Angie!
This is great info to know! I do a 30-minute daily workout on my Bellicon with my wrist weights and knew about the lymphatic drainage but didn’t realise about the bone density! Woo hoo!! 😆 I could’t live without my beloved Bellicon!
You’re astounding Angie. Your level of discipline is really admirable. Kudos to you!!! That quinoa tofu recipe sounds delicious, definitely going to try it. I make my own granola with oatmeal, puréed dates, olive oil, honey, cinnamon, pumpkin, sesame and hemp seeds, and a variety of raw nuts. Bake and it gets crunchy and is so delicious.
I do this with Pepitas and sesame seeds. I roast them drizzle olive oil, sea salt, and organic stevia after the roasting process. So good on salads, in oatmeal or as a snack!!!
I'm so happy you were able to control your cholesterol with diet/exercise. It takes consistency and hard work! I have a family history of diabetes. I only do berries, no fruit juice. If I had cereal for breakfast, I'm starving the rest of the day, I'll have egg white omelet with veggies, add in 1 tablespoon of psyllium husk or ground oats to add fiber and naturally reduce cholesterol. Everyone is so different regarding dietary needs! FYI, rice flour makes a nice breading if you want a crispy flaky crust.
Another piece of evidence that discipline is the name of the game. I am similar in that my healthy eating habits have been a lifelong commitment to being the best I can be, and I don't go off the beaten path too much...I stick with the routine I've created for myself over my entire adult life, and enjoy treats every now and then but always come back to what works. And always evolving into new things that will work until I need to find the next thing for my age, etc. Thank you, great video, please do more of these!
Everything looks delicious. When I make overnight oats I add a scoop of vanilla protein powder for an extra protein boost. Love the idea of tossing scraps into a ziplock for later use. Brilliant!
I agree with your comment on what works for each individual. Personally, the intermittent fasting and keto-ish works for me. But that doesn't work for my sisters. The intermittent saved me this year when we had a sad thing happen in our family and I got stuck in a cycle of self soothing with cakes and what not. I stuck with the intermittent fasting and didn't gain a lot of weight, luckily, I still fit in my clothes. Now, I am back to the keto-ish and undoing the too many cakes damage. I did learn something. The sugar cycle keeps you sad and adds to depression.
I'm sorry that happened, sugar is addicted and we can train our brains to crave it less by eating less of it but it's difficult. Happy you have an eating plan that works for you! I don't know if you work out or have time to, but exercise releases "feel good" endorphins that fight depression, even a 20 minute walk will do it!
That was so very helpful, thank you so much. I have a similar family history of heart disease but was never able to get my cholesterol down to normal even with a good diet. Since my HDl and triglyceride are great, I accepted the high ldl. You woke me up today that I’ve been fooling myself. Your example showed me that it can be done. Can’t thank you enough.
Angie, you've inspired me in so many ways over the years, and this video is inspiring as well. I need to get my butt in gear and get back in shape by eating better and getting exercise. I love that you do so much research on so many topics, from beauty to health and fitness, and that you generously share with us what you've learned. You look fabulous... strong and healthy ss well ss beautiful. Thanks for all you do! XXOO ❤
Hey Angie, loved this video. I’m 60 and have found the best lifestyle change post menopause for me was intermittent fasting combined with low carb low sugar whole foods. I try to limit my intake of processed foods as well. Was able to drop 35 lbs and maintain my weight. Thanks for the tips and for sharing your routine with us. I couldn’t agree more that everyone is different and what works for us may not work for everyone.
Hi Angie, the lessons you give about protein intake ,post menopause, are the clearest most concise I've ever come across and have helped me enormously. I wasn't eat half enough protein. So enjoying this food update video too, yet more info for me. Thank you so much and greetings from Dublin!
Hi Angie. Cooking on camera (thanks for leaving in the part where you dropped us) is motivating me. Yay to basic/pure food that isn't too complicated when cooking for one or two people. Admitting the "witching hour" when things don't go as planned keeps it real.
Had to cut out my mild swearing when the camera went on the floor 😂 but thought it was funny to leave it in, + forgetting the tomatoes! Meno brain fog is real!! Glad you enjoyed the whole thing! xo ~a.
@@AngieHotandFlashyThat’s hilarious about cutting out the mild swearing because when I was watching it, I thought to myself, good thing that wasn’t me filming or the viewers would have heard a few extra words😂
Angie, I have been watching your videos for over a year now. I admire your discipline in all areas of your life. You are so down to earth, grounded and kind. Thanks for sharing so much with us. You are an inspiration. I am glad I found you! Always a good time watching your videos and the bonus on this one was to see your sweet dogs! ❤❤❤ Wish you the best!
I love this video! I follow all three of these doctors as well! Your sugar intake is no big deal because you burn it off and are using it as fuel for your workout! I appreciate your transparency and willingness to share the tweaks and changes to your routine. You're a true encouragement to me!
Angie, you inspire me on so many levels! From sunscreen and skincare to food and exercise, you thoroughly research what you do and recommend, and I so appreciate it. It's time for me to get off my butt and do better with exercise and diet. Caught a glimpse of myself unclothed in my full-length mirror.. YIKES! 😮😢 😂 You, on the other hand, look spectacular! XXOO ❤
😤when people judge others food choices🧐 ✨✨❤️Angie thank you so much for continuing to put these videos out there for people like me who really appreciate knowing your choices, and not being intimidated by the judge comments and negativity that can happen. I always learn something from these videos… So I just wanted to take a minute and tell you that you are appreciated.‼️❤️✨
I love your vlogs to mix it up a bit. You’re right about different things work for different people. What you eat helps me to change it up a bit and to try different things that I may use more in my daily meals. So thanks. I agree about heavy weights. Thanks for sharing what works for you. It’s nice to know that we all have to work at healthy self-care.
I absolutely LOVE your vlogs, more please! On any topic. Would love to see any updates to your home! Another walk with your dogs to the sea, perhaps? All shots of them are heartwarming 💗I want to thank you for highlighting vegetarian and vegan alternatives! They are not only kind to animals, but to our bodies and the earth! 👏🏻🥰
Some form tips from a personal trainer: Tuck your elbows into your sides for the bicep curls. Bring your feet a little closer for your squats (unless the trainer you were following had a purpose for such wide squats). Stabilize your elbow more for your skull crushers (your arm is moving too much, so you may need to go down in weight). Great work!
All of those recipes look delicious! ❤ I can’t wait to try…I love your spend the day with me, what I eat in a day, and your workout videos. Of course, I love all the others too! Thanks Angie 😊
I've watched videos of carnivore, keto, vegan, fasting & other extreme diets. In the end, I stick with real whole foods, organic &: no gunk & seldom fast food. My hair is thick & not falling out. Exercise is a must. Thanks to you, I joined Agency & love it. TY for sharing your tips & tricks for graceful aging!❤️🙏
Thank you Angie! Great video, again. I have learned so much from you over the years about diet, supplements, menopause, hrt and exercise. The left-overs you showed with ground turkey, mushrooms and grains looked delish, can you share that recipe?
Loved spending the day with you, Angie! I’m someone who can also eat the same thing for lunch everyday. Your comment about “dinner is where I get the variety in” makes so much sense to me. Why over complicate it, right? Thanks for sharing all your knowledge with us!
Love hearing how you take care of yourself! While a real shift toward more natural and less processed foods can be hard, it’s all in what you get used to. Just like exercise enables us to keep doing the things we love! ‘Enjoying’ food does not have to include stuff you can’t pronounce. Good to learn about the TJ’s frozen garlic! Thank you!
Hi Angie! Absolutely LOVE your videos. You are such an inspiration!! I have to admit that I'm a tiny bit surprised (because I know that you put so much research into the things you do) that you don't do your weights before your cardio. With as much mixed information there is out there about exercise, the one thing almost all fitness experts agree on is that weights should always be done before cardio.
I can’t wait to try the quinoa tofu! Omgosh and the salmon salad… yum! I only buy wild caught fresh and never thought to buy canned but now I will! I’ll be 60 in December and have a 6 year old… had her at 53, so I owe it to her to do all these things to keep myself healthy and strong, so thank you thank you for all the suggestions and advice!
To go through my sugar cravings I have discovered a little easy peasy recipe from another youtuber, I think her youtube chanel is keepupwithliv or something. However, it is so good and gewy like a brownie batter. -Black chocolate (I personnally take the 100% chocolate from the brand Lindt) to only have the three main ingredients. - Tiny piece amount of butter or coconut oil then microwave it. - Nut butter - Maple syrup - Almond flour. You can add a splash of vanilla if you want to but I don't feel the need to add some. It is just soooooo good. Highly suggest it 😊
Amazing! Thank you for breaking down your homemade cereal concoction. I like a high protein breakfast and at each meal but you can’t beat cereal. Im with you, something like you made keeps me full a LONG time.
Great video Angie- just know that even though the collagen shows an amount of protein in it, it is not COMPLETE protein and all of the experts seem to agree you should NOT COUNT it towards your total protein number. I don't use protein powders or whey, but if you added those instead of collagen, you could use those to bump up your protein to hit your target. I would just add some plain Greek yogurt ;).
I’m a bariatric patient and my doctors told me I couldn’t count it toward my protein goal. Thanks for putting it so succinctly. I have a better understanding now.
I'm not an expert on protein or diet, but still I disagree with that and I'm going to continue to count the protein in my collagen supplement and here's why: My Vital Proteins Marine collagen powder contains 19 of the 20 amino acids (8 essential and 11 nonessential). The essential amino acid not in it is tryptophan which helps regulate sleep, mood, and appetite but doesn't contribute to muscle building, collagen production, immune function, wound healing, brain function or energy. So in my view while it's technically correct that collagen supplements don't contain "complete" proteins it's splitting hairs to not count them in my daily total protein intake, I mean by that standard protein from nuts, legumes, vegetables, whole grains & seeds wouldn't be counted either...
Hi Angie! Have you tried Fairlife milk? It’s cow’s milk, but ultra filtered, so lower carbs and higher protein than regular milk, 1 cup has 13 grams of protein. I love it and it doesn’t irritate my stomach. If you could tolerate it, it’s an easy way to boost protein at breakfast! Love all of your videos. The info you share is always helpful!
Thank you for this video! I love watching videos like this because they give me ideas on how to incorporate healthier eating habits. I find it very inspirational!
I love your trainer, dogs are great motivators for walking...I have found though they place more importance on snuggles than weights training. Great video thank you!
Great Video Angie! Thank you! I’m menopausal as well, 54 and trying to add more protein as well. I also use the collagen powder you do, and thought I was adding protein from it… but recently watched a YT video from Dr Dray (dermatologist) say that the protein in that particular collagen powder does not count as protein to help build muscle! I was so disappointed! You’ll need to watch it to understand the science… it was a little confusing to me. I’m super curious if you watched it, if you would agree.
Angie, thank you for sharing the information about the post menopausal doctors and also about protein requirements. I applaud you for your attention to detail. After watching you I realize that if I stepped up my game just a little I would have a little more protein intake. Right now I’m just not couy my macros. And I can definitely see that would help me a great deal.
😂 i was just getting ready to comment as you were cooking that i am truly amazed at how well you demo and speak about all the different topics and right when i grabbed my phone was the very moment everything went tumbling on your end. 😂😂 Gave me a good chuckle. None the less, lol, i am amazed how great you are in all the different areas you present. I have always admired you and i just finished watching your presentation on menopause and hrt. Im am thanking God that you shared and thr timing as i desperstely need to find a doctor i a lot of medical issues and dontt know where to begin. Its very difficult for the average person to find a good doctor and even more so for someone who has the many issues i have to address im going to begin with a one on one with the dr you did and let her guide me outward as needed from there i desperately need the hrt. Thank you. I absolutely adore and trust you and i cannot tell you what a Godsend you are i have been overwhelmed at the thiught of neginning to try to find a good doctor i need guidance also in every area supplements as well. Maybe the doctor can recommend drs in my area when needed. Thank you once again. Also, i am using agency tretinoin and i love it. Been using for about three months now. Just the moisturizer on my skin is amazing improvement! I can't wait to see the results from the Tret down the road I've been using the method where you just leave it on for a small amount of time on the days that you use it and then you wash it off right away. That seems to be working really well. I've had zero irritation whatsoever and now I've worked up to using it every night and they started me on a low dose. So every night it's even doing okay now so and then this the next shipment she will be increasing the strength, so I'm really happy with it and really happy with the method that I chose as far as applying it. And thank you for all your help on that as well. You're amazing you're helping me in so many areas. I can't even tell you just by adore you and I admire you immensely and you're absolutely beautiful inside and out. Thank you for having your channel and being here for us. I really really appreciate you
Thank you Angie, you look great and are inspiring. I'm guessing it took/takes some discipline to look and feel as good as you do. For someone to change their lifestyle it takes time to adjust until it's habit, by which time they already feel great and look better too. It's getting over that first hurdle that's challenging.
Thank you so much for all the great content. I love all of it! I’m 52 and going through menopause and really need to learn more about HRT. I have watched your videos but still so much information. I see my provider in a couple of weeks and will talk to her about it. Also Post has a new cereal called Premiere Protein, the flavors are chocolate almond and berry almond that has 20 grams of protein in them.
I eat a plant based diet, can't wait to try the tofu dish. Looks delicious! Also, I could never eat salads for lunch when I was working because it takes me 30-45 minutes to eat my HUGE salad. But now I am retired and I can take my time eating salads. Thanks for sharing.
Angie, love your videos. Just wondering how you get 30g of protein at breakfast from what you showed. I love that cereal but I can’t figure out where all your protein from that meal comes from. I did see the collagen sitting there that you must put in your tea which would have some. Can you give a break down. Thank you! 😊
Hi Angie, been watching your videos for years and you have maintained your radiant youth with everything you do and look amazing. I was trying to find the recipe for your salad dressing which sounds delicious but couldn't... Anyway anyone can provide the recipe? Love your channel!
I just made your cereal mix!! What a nice easy fast breakfast. I need quick stuff that I can eat on the go and I am beyond bored with my usual choices. Thanks so much!!
Nice ideas. Fairlife milk has extra protein and lower sugar. Just another idea. They make it with varying amounts of fat. Not sure if you’re trying to avoid cow’s milk. It is also lactose free.
I'm 45 and lift heavy. For my biceps I do 3 sets of 12 reps on 15lbs. I can do one set of 8 on 20lbs. I also do 30 minutes peloton then weight lifting but split it up as I'm spent after I get off the peloton. So I lift weights a few hours later. I ride the peloton first thing in the morning before breakfast but I have to eat before lifting weights. The tofu recipe looks delicious! I was traumatized by the camera fall! lol But I loved how your showed all the behind the scenes including having to run to the grocery store for tomatoes - so relatable! I would turn the oven off next time just to be safe. Loved how you clarified it was a different spoon for the peanut butter! lol
Hi Angie - for a high protein plant-based milk, try pea milk! I like the Ripple brand. One more gram of protein per serving than soy (8 grams per cup). Fantastic video, as usual! Can't wait to try these recipes. I always look forward to your content, but especially these videos on pro-aging, health, and menopause. You truly produce some of the highest quality content on YT. Thanks for everything you do to help us sisters out! Much love 💜
I love your What I Eat In a Day videos, Angie because you don’t try to force your lifestyle , habits or thoughts on others. It’s so true that everyone is different and what works and what is good for one person isn’t for another. I did want to ask you if you do any particular abdominal exercises and if you do, how many times a week? Thanks!
Thanks so much! I used to do lots of ab exercises but it's funny, I don't really do them every workout any more... I just keep my abs tight while doing other exercises to support my back and they seem to get enough work that way. I only do abs about 2x a month now.
I saved that same crusted tofu recipe a couple weeks ago and was planning to make it this weekend. So fun to see you found it, too, and now I have the play by play of you making it, too. Ha-good stuff!
I freeze tons of garlic in covered silicone trays to keep in the freezer. I grow hundreds of bulbs every year and I can only use so much of it fresh. It’s very economical.
@@smokyriver I use a silicone garlic sleeve to peel a bunch at a time and then put it in the food processor. Peeling is necessary but you don’t have to mince it if you don’t want to.
Thank you Angie. Your video was informative and inspirational. I have incorporated some of your tips into my daily diet and can't wait to try the tofu recipe. Your videos are my relaxation and at the same time a great source for a healthy and fun ideas.
Made the tofu Parmesan dish tonight for dinner. Big hit with my husband and I! I had some paneer I needed to use so I replaced the tofu with paneer. I had just bought some Rao’s Calabrian Chili Marinara and used that for the sauce and used the chashew cheese recipe provided. We loved it!! So good! ❤
Great video! I don’t typically watch cooking videos, but yours got me to the local Trader Joe’s this morning. I’ll try the tofu recipe this weekend. I’m so grateful that you’re on TH-cam. Your videos are always full of good ideas and candid reviews. Thank you so much.
Dearest, I am writing from Greece, Europe. I have been watching your videos for many years now and I appreciate them very much! My only concern is the amount of supplements and vitamins you are taking - in Europe the question on these is highly controversial and the tendency is to avoid them if you do not need them. I am curious if doctors prescribed them to you or if you decided to take them by your own. Thank you!
I take the supplements on my own, but when I see my doctor and they look at my age on my chart they always ask me what supplements I take and get excited to start taking them. They're mainly for my heart health, bone health & skin.
Great video. It’s so nice to we what others are doing to stay fit and healthy as we age. I’m 65 and am trying to bring my high blood pressure under control. I too have a hereditary heart problems. That dish looks amazing.
You look amazing the way you conduct your life so consciously is amazing , just wee note our body breaks down collagen different so shouldn’t be counted in your protein intake xxx
I love your idea of eating cereal in the morning. I can't stomach eggs as much as I would like to for the protein and I love cereal. Great breakfast option!
Hi Angie, Your workout was helpful to me to see how I can add to my own workout plan. I always enjoy a new recipe or two. Thanks very much for taking the time to make this vidro. Your pups are adorable. xo, Karen
I loved this video. It’s just what I needed right now. I’ve been a little low in motivation now that I’ve been diagnosed with a heart condition on top of my high cholesterol. Thanks so much Angie. This video just gave me great ideas to create my own exercise and nutrition routine. After all I’ve been following your skincare routine for years and my face, neck and hands look pretty good for 62 😊
I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis but I'm so happy you clicked on this video! Diet & exercise can really have a huge impact on our heart health!! Good luck with your new routine, I know you can do it!! xo ~a.
It’s great to see that you are not eating “diet” foods to choose the lowest calorie version possible I watched some bloggers and they barely eating any calories and actually teaching theirs teenage kids eating diet foods to prevent potential problem with weight gain , very unhealthy in my opinion
Thank you! I really needed this video. I have injured my knee and have to have surgery. This winter has been hard to find a work out and clean my eating up. I have recently found an app that helps me with finding clean products. I to like you are a creator of habit, I have cereal for breakfast and I have added to that and lunch I’ve add tuna for more protein. Raising my protein will help with healing after surgery. I feel very motivated by your video. 🙏❤️
Hi Angie, I've recently discovered your videos and am really appreciating your content, so thank you!. I'm super into your breakfast cereal mixture and have made it but could you please post the exact amount of almonds, pepitas and sunflower seeds you are adding? I want to make sure I'm adding the correct amount to reach that full 25 grams of much needed protein. Thank you!!
Your dressing is amazing! Because I have an allergy to dairy and eggs I have been so limited on dressings for salad. This will have me eating a lot of salads.
The intermittent fasting 16-18 (depending on the day) hour fast has worked for me. I only eat twice a day starting at either 10am or 11am due to major digestive problems. Eat more protein with small amounts of Carbs and sugars. That overnight oats looked great. Thanks for your great videos.
I was advised by a personal trainer to start off with the heaviest weights and then progressively go down. Because you’ve already done a bunch of repetitions with the lower weights your arms are going to be a bit tired already.
Im 59 yrs young look n feel like in my 30's, most people think im in my 30's I believe the inside is just as important as outside especially working out since my early 20's Lift pretty heavy and do cardio 5 days week is the key to looking and maintaining strength and mobility . You should invest in a trainer lift heavier, and get cardio in more, Focus on mobility too, Thanks for sharing
This was such a wonderful video. Very funny when your phone fell. Love your videos. You look great. Im turning 52 this year and already menopausal. Going to definitely try some of your recipes. Thank you!
My trainer and my primary care doctor told me to do weights first. I’m 54 and in great shape. (Cancer survivor and have RA). Cardio before weight training will be the optimal choice if you want to increase endurance. I’m not running a marathon so I should not do cardio first. Doing a cardio workout AFTER weight training is ideal if you want to lose fat and get stronger. Building muscle mass is also desirable for fat loss goals as it has been proven to promote a faster metabolism. Weights after cardio is best for women of our age with our goals.
I agree with everything you’ve shared. Much of life is out of our control, but we must keep moving in the direction we want to live.
So sorry to hear you lost your mom, she sounds like a lovely person! 💜
My MIL is 95 and eats like a horse and whatever she wants. Doesn't get any exercise, nor does she have dementia.
Same and occasional cheesecake. Big fan of Peter Attia and Gabriele Lyon MD ❤
I can’t do Keto either. I’ve tried but can’t stick to it. Sorry to hear you had a heart attack. I hope you’re feeling a lot better now. Xxxxx
My favorite videos that you do are always on diet, health, exercise and menopause. Thank you and...Keep them coming!! :D
Thanks so much!! 💜
Every time I watch your videos about health, I’m inspired to do better and get back on track. Thank you ❤
You look fabulous! I too tend to eat the same thing for breakfast and lunch. Makes life easier.
Me too. Exact same breakfast and lunch every day.. Sometimes I add a few eggs to my lunch.
Angie… the things you do for your viewers, you’re the best!
Yes to home made granola!
I do this with Pepitas and sesame seeds. I roast them drizzle olive oil, sea salt, and organic stevia after the roasting process. So good on salads, in oatmeal or as a snack!!!
Angie I love your trainer!❤ Thank you for the inspiration and sharing your recipes! Always the best! ❤
Me too! She works me hard but the snuggles are so worth it!! 💜
Brilliant!
Yay, it's Friday and Angie has a new video! Best way to end the week. ❤️
Happy Friday! Thanks for watching!! 💜
XXOO ❤
The keto diet keeps my blood sugar level stable, but I eat more protein and fats than carbs and barely any sugars.
Congratulations, all of those are awesome achievements! 😀 I bet it really reduced inflammation in your body as those are significant factors.
Hi Angie, the lessons you give about protein intake ,post menopause, are the clearest most concise I've ever come across and have helped me enormously. I wasn't eat half enough protein. So enjoying this food update video too, yet more info for me. Thank you so much and greetings from Dublin!
If I can recommend a book too Lara Briden's hormone repair manual for anything menopause
Happy Friday from Connecticut!
@@AngieHotandFlashy😂😂😂😂😂😂
Angie, I have been watching your videos for over a year now. I admire your discipline in all areas of your life. You are so down to earth, grounded and kind. Thanks for sharing so much with us. You are an inspiration. I am glad I found you! Always a good time watching your videos and the bonus on this one was to see your sweet dogs! ❤❤❤ Wish you the best!
Love spending the day with you Angie!
Especially when you’re making healthy meals. I learn so much from you!!!
I love this video! I follow all three of these doctors as well! Your sugar intake is no big deal because you burn it off and are using it as fuel for your workout! I appreciate your transparency and willingness to share the tweaks and changes to your routine. You're a true encouragement to me!
Well thank you so much for taking the time to share this all with us! So much good information to take in. Your meals look absolutely delish!
I agree 100%! I definitely burn off the sugar I eat. I used to eat way more sugar a day but have really cut it back in the last few years!
XXOO ❤
Angie, I love how everything you do is SO INTENTIONAL, everything for a reason❤
Love your tips on increasing the heavier weights!
Thanks for sharing this Angie. I love seeing your workouts, what you eat in a day and the new recipes. I will definitely be trying the Tofu recipe!
Thanks so much for letting me know you appreciate these videos! You're the best! 💜
Love that!!
@@AngieHotandFlashyLove your channel ❤
Thank you!
Great to hear about your journey as a mature woman and it is very encouraging.
I know cardio can be used as a warm up but not a full blast cardio workout before weights. Many people just do them on alternate days.
- Nut butter
- Maple syrup
- Almond flour.
That is true!
I’m a bariatric patient and my doctors told me I couldn’t count it toward my protein goal. Thanks for putting it so succinctly. I have a better understanding now.
@kriswright2502 it's missing tryptophan and maybe another essential amino acid, so not complete to be considered a source of protein. 😊
@@AngieHotandFlashy I understand and get it! There is often so much conflicting information among the health & nutrition experts! :)
Happy Friday Angie - I’ve been walking 4/week for 3 miles for almost a year now - dropping weight slowly but so happy that I made that change.
That's awesome Karla! Keep up the good work!!
The info you share is always helpful!
loving this video x 1,000,000. Thank you. Please keep cooking videos for suppers coming. Thanks!
Thank you for this video! I love watching videos like this because they give me ideas on how to incorporate healthier eating habits. I find it very inspirational!
I love your trainer, dogs are great motivators for walking...I have found though they place more importance on snuggles than weights training. Great video thank you!
THIS is inspirational cooking, looks so delicious ugh, I want some now!!!
You’re awesome Angie - thank you for everything you do!
Angie, these are still my favorite types of videos. You are our Martha Stewart and Ina Garten. Have a wonderful weekend! ❤
Such a neat idea to add things to your cereal. I've tried that kind and it's pretty good, even by itself.
I really really appreciate you
I hope you do more videos like this one. This was great! Thanks for the recipes too!
Please more cooking videos! Loves this, watched it a couple of times and made my grocery list as I watched!
Your breakfast really makes me smile! You found what makes you happy AND fits your goals!! ❤
I love this thank you so much. Can you please do more like this? Also give us updates on your daily/ nightly and a.m. and p.m. skin routine. ❤
Vegan for 34 years, tofu is so versatile. love to see you use the chickpea flour. always learning. I am 72. Love your videos!
These are my favorite videos of yours! Diet and exercise are sooo important for healthy, beautiful, youthful skin like yours!
Absolutely LOVED this lifestyle video Angie ! ❤
Yep!
Thanks Angie. I’ve never made a recipe with tofu but your dinner looked really yummy!
Angie, love your videos. Just wondering how you get 30g of protein at breakfast from what you showed. I love that cereal but I can’t figure out where all your protein from that meal comes from. I did see the collagen sitting there that you must put in your tea which would have some. Can you give a break down. Thank you! 😊
Angie, I found Tracey Steen's channel thanks to you and really enjoy her workouts. Thank you for sharing!
Best ideas ever. I love how you cook. Perfect for a plant based gal like me. Thank you! Thank you for all the great ideas.
Do you peel the garlic first or mince it?
Sounds like critters in the garden don't like garlic. I gave up on trying to grow food because they all ate it before I did!
@@smokyriver I use a silicone garlic sleeve to peel a bunch at a time and then put it in the food processor. Peeling is necessary but you don’t have to mince it if you don’t want to.
@@selectiveoutrage6617 that’s a bummer.
Thank you Angie. Your video was informative and inspirational. I have incorporated some of your tips into my daily diet and can't wait to try the tofu recipe. Your videos are my relaxation and at the same time a great source for a healthy and fun ideas.
My mum died from a heart attack so your video on supplements was good to lisen to that lowers the risk of stroke and heart attack
Awesome!!
This is an excellent video Angie. I am going to move to zone 2 and see what happens.
Truly enjoyed this video. Thank you for all the recipes
Good luck with your new routine, I know you can do it!! xo ~a.
It’s great to see that you are not eating “diet” foods to choose the lowest calorie version possible
I watched some bloggers and they barely eating any calories and actually teaching theirs teenage kids eating diet foods to prevent potential problem with weight gain , very unhealthy in my opinion
I love your recipe videos! You're so inspiring. I'm post menopause year 4 and could use motivations like this. 🤩
Hi Angie, how much of the seeds/nuts do you add to the cereal blend? I love your videos, especially the videos like this one and the blog ones!
This is what I want to know too!
Thank you!
You are one of my favorites for sure. Love your enthusiasm.
Got it!
Definitely trying the dinner recipes. Also what a wonderful home/view from your windows. Healthy and peaceful lifestyle!
