What I learned from this chapter is there is an entire society dedicated to releasing this dragon, and now they have no god to release and their religion was destroyed by Saitama. Oh gee... I do hope no powerful evil being takes advantage of this chapter's events and offers this now deity-less cult unbelievable powers and vengeance all while unleashing a new powerful deity that could take vengeance on the baldy that ruined their life's purpose. I mean... that's just crazy... absolutely no foreshadowing in the chapter that I can see.
Impressive, a plot that involves God reviving the dragon of that cult and making it a greater threat than cosmic Garou would be interesting. Also turning the robotic Gods a God level threat cuz we know that there is not only the monster association but Dragon association, robotic association, and psychics association foreshadowing God in OPM.
Btw, the cups were cracked when saitamas first house was destroyed during the monster association arc and he mentioned to garou that he had to, and I quote, "fish his items out of the rubble"
This dragon plot is so Dragon Ball it's copying the Cell Saga, where Vegeta let Cell complete his body to fight him at full power and Goku gave him a Senzu Bean before sending Gohan to fight him... but to Saitama's credit, at least he knew he was going to win anyway, so no one was endangered.
You're right it's impossible to forget when garou taught Saitama time travel technique the causality reversal fist now imagine Saitama with ninja techniques it would be insane.
If you remember that dragon statue in chapter 164 when Saitama was fighting Garou while holding back, it might be the same dragon depicting the Cruel Dragon.
