- I'm giving them the authentic Fenix Experience™!
This was really fun actually and was a bit harder than I expected. I'm really glad Sraw added the trigger to complete this mission by killing the Nexus - it makes this quite fun.

A trick you can do in this mission that isn't totally necessary but might have helped is that you can cast parasite on the flying critters. There are so many on the map that you can get close full vision of the map after a while
I love the adjusted win condition allowing for broodling cheese 🧀
I'm really glad that Sraw added it! Really taking advantage of the opportunities of 1hp there.
Sometimes, I run into a mission where I am like, "I really *should* be able to win this way", and then I find out that I can't, and in my bout of sadness I like to think I make the world a better place by making someone else able to do it.
I still wonder if wiggling duran up to telemetros is possible. They only have two observers up there so maybe with clean movement you could do it.
Amazing. This has been a dream of mine ever since I first played this mission.
Wasnt prepared for broodling meta
It's so wild that every single hero ghost has one less range. Can't imagine why.
Yeah I don't get that one. It's definitely weird.
One thing I don't get about this mission is that well, the Zerg are not exactly subtle in the macro missions. The whole Protoss campaign was pretty much the folks from Aiur trying to secure Shakuras from the Zerg and the final cutscene has them using the temple to clear the planet of the Zerg. Since the Zerg haven't just immediately returned, the Protoss probably are keeping a close watch.
So the mission objectives make it seem like it's supposed to be a commando raid but well, Zerg bases have Creep... not exactly a sneaky thing.
8:00 Trying to be cheeky and the AI having none of it!
Why there are such arbitrary rules of what you can and can't broodling?
StarCraft 1™. You would think "non-mechanical" for broodling and "mechanical" for lockdown would be exclusive, but they're not! The fact that dragoons, tanks, goliaths, and vultures are all in the "mechanical and biological" venn diagram overlap is wild.
From a lore perspective I suppose it doesn’t make sense for you to be able to broodling purely robotic units like reavers and beings made of pure energy like archons since it’s basically a pair of broodlings popping out of a living being like a xenomorph from alien. But yeah it comes across as super arbitrary.
In a similar vein, spider mines do not trigger on hovering units, which include workers, vultures, and archons. But not high templars despite their unit animation showing they’re gliding
@@7thAce I can kinda understand not being able to brooding air units (because they can be over unpathable terrain) but for other there should be clearer rules.

Yeah, the “robotic” categorization is really dumb. I understand why they made it that way - so that higher tech units aren’t immune just because the pilot is inside a machine - but they could’ve handled it a lot better.
I think it's pretty neat. Anything that has an organic crew is susceptible to Spawn Broodlings. The manual of the game mentions that too.
Reavers and Archons are just the few units that don't have that soft fleshy center.
Devs should've committed and banned overlords.
Cowards for not tbh.
I can understand why they let us have overlords, but letting us have queens is strange.
