Just watched the full episode on Buzzr. Right after this Liz and her partner broke the record for guessing the 10 words in 32 seconds. She was giving the clues and he guessed 9 out of 10 on the first clue. It was fun to see.

I have to agree that Elizabeth never appeared on any incarnation of Password after Allen Ludden died. (Not with Tom Kennedy or Bert Convy) I also think she preferred the original version without the Puzzle because she played to win and this week clearly shows that she was determined to get the puzzle right ... Maybe this week also was her turning point in not returning. Prior to "Password Plus" she appeared on ABC Password (1971-75) very often and played the game well but the executives at ABC erased these tapes to record "Family Feud." I can't believe this was allowed to happen but I read somewhere that Goodson was pissed at ABC for doing this, supposedly without his consent. We'll never see the weeks she was on with Carol Burnett, Paul Lynde, or the week when Allen Ludden and Liz played as teammates unless somewhere they are in ABC's New York vaults and are archived but I sincerely doubt it. Thank you Liz for the best years of Password! You're sorely missed!
A few of the old Password regulars didn't care too much for Plus. Tony Randall and Martin Milner both appeared for only one week each, and by the end of their weeks they seemed to hate that the banter between Passwords were limited (because Puzzles tend to be spoiled/given away easily) which limited their time to ham it up for the camera. (Tony Randall in particular on his Friday show seemed standoffish/upset, and had the look as if he was being stifled). Nanette Fabray appeared twice and both times kept getting lost with how much faster the gameplay was (the week with Skip Stephenson was painful to watch, because Nanette couldn't keep up with the fast pace and Skip was a blithering idiot--the gameplay dragged, a few puzzles were thrown out after 5 words, and not much money given away in Alphabetics).
Look at the look on Liz's face. She didn't like it when people disrespected others. That's one reason why people love/loved her so much. It comes across on BEWITCHED like a floodlight. In THE WITCHES ARE OUT where Sam's upset with Darrin's campaign and explains to him why she and her people hate perceptions and bigotry. That's also Elizabeth speaking. In SISTERS AT HEART, Sam explains to the girls that it isn't skin color that determines friendship, but feelings one has for another. Again, that's also Elizabeth speaking. And yet, Liz could play the tough character role like in SINS OF THE MOTHER. But what always amazes me was Liz's incredible skill on PASSWORD/PASSWORD PLUS. Watch how many times she got the answer on one clue. But her real skill was during the speed round when she either giving or receiving clues. Serena, yes. 😀
Too bad Samantha never took Endora to task for disrespecting her marriage and trying to break it up constantly. That's the reason why I couldn't stand "Bewitched" because I hated Endora and Samantha's too passive attitude toward her.
