I get my curly cut done at a ‘white’ curly hair salon too and I just accept that the styling will be off lol but I always get a great cut, shampoo & deep conditioning and they’re always so nice!

The way you left the shop reminds me of a few visits that I went to where I received a curly cut. I only had one great experience with a white stylist that cut and styled my hair to perfection. The others not so much. But I go for a cut mostly and restyle my hair at home
Iam really against those dry cuts now. They don’t give you a perfect and even shape - although they claim the opposite. They just eyeball it and cut pieces here and there…
