Vasyl Lomachenko at his defensive best! In my opinion he's the best in the sport right now at making his opponents miss and making them pay. One of the top P4P! www.patreon.com/haNZAgod

It's cool that you think that lomachenko is the best in the sport, right now. But you should see the interview with Shakur Stevenson. It's around two years old when he sparred Lomachenko to which he says, "I learned a lot." In other words, Loma schooled the kid. But then Stevenson said, "I watched Crawford spar Lomachenko, and Crawford went into beast mode!" Also, whenever Lomachenko is asked who is the P4P champion right now, he always says, "CRAWFORD!" I actually see Lomachenko as my #2 P4P, right after Crawford. The reason is Crawford cleared out two divisions and was the undisputed champ for 135 and 140 weight classes. Other than Crawford, Usyk is the other and only undisputed champion of this era! Lomachenko is still climbing the ranks to collect all the belts. I think Loma will eventually grab them all and become undisputed, but TC is just that dawg!

Actually he has turned his defense into offense long ago. He's been developing it since the beginning. And it makes perfect sense. Any decent boxing school would teach you to utilize punches for provoking an attack that you could counter-attack afterwards. It's the basics of amateur boxing. But Loma could not provoke opponents' attacks from the outside that easy, his reach has always been too short. He developed other smart ways to do it. It is more apparent when you watch his amateur fights when he would use only his upper body movements and feet, he would learn how the opponent tended to attack and then he would counter. It was rather advanced and evolutionary tactics those days not everyone capable of grasping, yet quite primitive compared to the one we observe in Loma today. Today he has evolved into a magician indeed.
The key takeaway I wanted to point out: even if it seems that he's defending, in fact he has started his attack, you just don't realize it yet.

Lomachenko is one of the best (top 10 ) featherweights and jr lightweights in history ! I wouldn't say lightweight , believe him to be naturally smaller and not as strong for 135lbs . Technical a master in the ring . Graduate to the pro game after the loss to the rough veteran and dirty tactics of Salido ! If it went one more round Salido would've been stopped . Could've accomplished so much more but pro career started to late .

Cross- Weight shift to right due to leverage generated in the front foot- Now he can choose to throw a body shot, but it's futile, he is on the left side of his opponent it's not easy to throw a power blow to the liver, so he chooses to tag his head from the side so he throws a left hook to the head.
Normally the cross side step body shot, is the average combo, but Loma played with his mind here and he chose to throw a left hook to the head.
    Very tactical and intelligent fighter.
You have to wach boxing from the perspective of it's science, not for screaming out loud and getting excited to see who punches harder, everyone in this planet can punch hard, just some bit of training and technique is enough, problem is people don't know and that saddens me, i love the sweet science.

@@mr.anderson-9240 Mayweather never faced anything like Lomachenko before. And Floyd only fought punchers he barely touched technical boxers in his career, only a very young Canelo Saul Alvarez. Hagler would have gassed out Mayweather. Instead of making a statement and fighting Bud after when he came back from his retirement, he went and fought the clown that is Conor McGregor, cementing his whole career. Terence Crawford is more talented than any opponents Floyd faced, plus he is getting better opposition that Floyd ever got in Garcia/Spence Jr. Floyd did everything to prevent a prime fight vs him and Pacquiao and Pacquiao isnt even half as skilled and explosive as Spence Jr is.
