@@Goldynapsthis tutorial is everything very informative! And your curls came out so beautiful I hope mine do! do you know how many rods you ended up using? And was the hold on the mousse soft, medium, or strong? I love a cast so I’m wondering about this mousse.
Just wanted to let you know I gambled on trying this at 10pm the night before a wedding I was a bridesmaid in because I trusted how fabulous your results were and your instruction was so clear. Happy to report it came out so pretty and everyone kept complimenting my hair all night 🥹. I always feel pressured to have bone straight hair for weddings/special events and I’m so happy to have this new go to do when I’m feeling faaancy lol .thank you so much 🙌❤
You should try a "cheat" flexi rod set and compare your results! I would split my hair into 4-6 sections and use rubberbands to put the sections in ponytails. I then rodded the shaft/ends of my hair with product and maybe 3-4 rods per ponytail. I left my front perimeter out of the ponytails and placed rods there normally so I could have my part fall nicely. I did this is in high school and college all the time because it cut my drying time in half so I could do it the night before class without monopolizing my entire evening and my hair was more voluminous because my roots were stretched. :)
This video just showed up in my feed and I'm grateful the algorithms got it right! The very style I was looking for, done on a hair type VERY similar to mine... Perfection! I saved this video immediately. Thank you, Goldy! 😘 Consider me, subscribed!
This was a beautiful flexi rod set! It always makes me feel like THAT GIRL idk why I don't it more! You and Naturally Sunny have inspired me to bring it back! ❤️
Great tutorial, I’m going to try this style again. I need to work on my technique. I tried this style a couple of weeks ago after only watching your short and gave up. I ended up just doing a flat twist out.
Thank you! It lasts a really long time tbh, this one lasted for 6 days and it still looked superrr defined but my scalp really needed a wash lol. I can do a nighttime maintenance video on here! There will be one up on how I maintain my hair during the week on my tiktok in a couple of days if you want to see a video sooner 😊
Do you notice your hair being more tangly on wash day after a flexi rod set. I did one and it was 💣. It was smooth and shiny but I was looking up videos and many said their hair was tangly. I couldn’t understand why and hoped for the best. On wash day, my hair was so darn tangly. I never get this with wash and gos 💯 I also get this with twist outs. It’s like my hair don’t like nothing my natural hair texture.
Great video, I have a question am now on 4th month transitioning. After hair wash LOC method my flexi rods gets heavy down. Will definitely try with a mouse but my question is can I still use a spray leave I'm conditioner + little oil once hair us air dried then use the mousse...
I wouldn’t recommend using an oil before a styler - most hair products are water based, and since water and oil don’t mix your hair products won’t absorb into your hair well if you apply an oil first - if you really want to use oil use it as your last step 😊 I also don’t think a leave-in is necessary to get good results, it will also cause your hair to take longer to dry, but if you want to use it just apply it before the mousse & oil!
Help ladies.... after my hair wash....I applied the leave in conditioner then allowed my hair to airdry.....then I went applied the shea moisture curl mousse for the flexi rods. As I am now transitioning the relaxed hair dried freezer immediately. Has this happened to anyone..i really want to get it right....kindly share if I did anything wrong pls
The cringe of lingo (and correction is not hating)…it’s to inform and make aware. We licensed graduates knows the terminology is “shampoo”and not “washed”… you wash clothes not hair(it’s the first instructors rule is to know the language of Cosmetology/Trichology … kudos to your method…
1000000% best tutorial ever
Appreciate youuuu 🥺💕

You literally perfect each hairstyle you do.👏🏾💫
This looks so good, I definitely will be trying this! Side note, but I love seeing women embrace their body hair on TH-cam. It feels so “real”!
I have to try melanin
Oh those curls look divine! I have switched to a mousse thanks to you and am so happy my hair is actually drying (quicker) now~
I've had 2 failed flexi rod sets this week but this video makes me want to give it another shot... 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 I really hope it works this time!

this looks really good! how long does a flexirod set usually last for you? would you do a video on your nighttime maintenance? 🥺

It’s simply gorgeous but exactly how long does it last and do you pop on a silk bonnet?
Just GORGEOUS! Great tutorial!🥰
She is a beaute biracial woman ❤😨
Great video! Did you pin it to get the side part?
Thank you! 🥰 i put a little gel on my edges and crocodile clipped it back while I was doing my makeup to get the side part!
Maybe I missed you saying it in the video but what is the reason you use two different colors in different parts of your hair ? 🙂

Ficou incrível
Gorgeous!❤
2 questions: Around how many flexirods did you use?
What is the lip combo you have on at the end?
I used 40 rods total, and the lip combo is rare beauty matte lip liner in strong and charlotte tilbury lipstick in pillow talk!
@@Goldynaps Thank you💕
It’s so pretty!
Guapisima😍😍
Eres hermosa 🥺
Loved this tutorial, we have the same hair! Kisses from Colombia 🇨🇴

New to the channel. Do you have a maintenance video on you make your styles last all week?
Hi! I don’t have one yet, but can definitely make one 🥰
Do you need a hooded dryer to achieve this? Or could I air dry it?
Gorgeous!!!!!
Thank youu 💕

❤❤pretty girl
How do you maintain this at night ?
How do u sleep on it..
How are yours looser mine ends up being a super tight spiral
Try using wider/longer flexi rods so you have room to wrap your hair along the length of the rod with more space so the spiral isn’t as tight

🙏🏽😜💜 THANK YOU💜😜👍🏾
🌼AMEN🌼
how many rods did you use?
40 total 😊
My ends keep unraveling 😢
Omg… that is sooo much work! 😥

I’m not a licensed cosmetologist, so I wouldn’t be aware of the proper terminology taught at school, but thank you for letting me know
