Plot twist: Splatoon 4 won’t have any weapons. Just good old fashioned physical violence towards each other. Pulling hair, breaking bones, black eyes….it’s all fair game
I don’t think removing pro would be a good thing, as it is the introduction to long/mid range shooters, like splattershot and jr (and no Nova is garbage so just remove that instead) but hey that’s just my opinion
Squeezer A weapon with the mobility of Splattershot, nerfed but still pretty good range for a midline gun, overtuned stats in general and the worst offender this weapon has, the mashing requirement. Squeezer has been a balancing and an accessibility nightmare from the day it was added to the series and it really has no business existing.
For me, what I want for more weapons in Splatoon 4 is to just add weapons in existing classes. I don't think we need more weapons classes, but maybe weapons in existing classes. Maybe Joy-cob dualies, or a Wii remote Splatana.

The Duel Squelchers kind of became obsolete with the introduction of the Dualie weapon class. It’s not quite the same thing as keeping or removing a character from Smash from entry to entry and Ultimate brought everything back. Splatoon 4 could take either route.
Feels weird being this early lol. But i wish in splatoon 4 they do what Prochara suggested! Which is having the ability to choose the special and sub on most or all weapons, but of course having a limited but different selection of subs and specials with each weapon

If Nintendo were to remove these weapons from the game, I would be pretty upset not only because I like these weapons but they would also remove 2 of the entry level weapons...but that's pretty unlikely

.52 Gal can't get damage nerfed, because that's the gimmick (I think lmao). It does 52 damage on a direct shot. If it was damage nerfed, it wouldn't be the same. If they changed the name and THEN damage nerfed it, but kept the same gimmick, I think it'd be okay.
Honestly, they maybe should replace/take out .96 Gal. It seems like it *should* have the same gimmick as .52 but not really. It's just a longer ranged, slower fire rate .52 Gal. 🤷
@@bluekirby_64 the funny part is that sploosh is actually top tier in competitive salmon run, and is really good at clearing lessers. it also has good ink efficiency.
I’m not sure if I wanna see weapons removed from Splatoon 4, but they’re definitely needing some balance updates…if Nintendo still decides to go the 3rd-person shooter route! I’d rather see a new genre come to Splatoon first, like a turn-based tactics game.

The National Dex hasn't been a thing for a while, but the series has gotten around this (somewhat) by just rapidly releasing new games with a different set of Pokemon included each time. Does that mean we need to embrace turning Splatoon into Call of Duty and release a new game with different weapons every year or two? I don't know if that's a good option, but I suppose it's an option.
Weapons with high power stats are a source of toxicity. Long range? Not fun to fight. Massive AOE, not fun to fight. Hydra is not fun to play or fight. When you’re fighting it, it’s just use cover and harass it until it gets a charge then run. 52 should be obvious. Fast kill time, good paint, good mobility, good survivability, you name it, 52 likely has it. Its damage and fire rate are so good, even in early midrange meta, 52 was able to stay because of fall off, paint, and mobility.

Plot twist: what if instead of being removed weapons were merged instead? You could combine squiffer and goo tuber or s-blast and Luna blaster.
Another idea would be splash o matic and n-zap, as they have an almost identical playstyle with slightly different stats
