Some rail historians feel that the MRHF does not know how to present and interpret their collection. Also, in an interview in the PD, Steve Korpos stated that at one time, there were 48 railroads that served Cleveland. In 1914, at the city's peak population, there were no more than 10 railroad companies serving Cleveland. Even if one counts the interurban railways, that was only 5 more companies.
As a retired railroader, I want to point out that the news media's use of the term "train car" is very much incorrect. The correct term is "railroad car", or "rail car" for short. Please have your reporters and producers learn to use the correct terminology when reporting on technical matters.
