Great video thanks. My personal experience is that difficult stakeholders are mainly driven by different agenda than project's goals and possibly personal "conflicts of interest". In this case, the Engineer's PM should balance his decisions resolving the conflicts or finding resolutions avoiding to be drag in uncomfortable and unethical situations, focusing on the goals of the project. Hard job!.

Yes, you are totally correct. The biggest problems come from stakeholders that try to achieve their own goals without considering the project's objectives.

I really appreciate what you said about staying in a toxic environment just long enough to get needed experience. I've been debating leaving an abusive employer for a long time but recently transitioned into PM work which is more aligned with future goals so I've been struggling with whether or not to leave.

Your videos are so different from the others' in asense that it doesnt feel like you are just making videos for the sake of it , but you are actaully providing useful advice from your previous practical experince. Please continue to do this . thanks ! On a lighter note , That last bit(truth from the trenches) sounded like a relationship advice to me that I badly need now :D

      Hi Angaj,
I have an article on SDLC. Maybe that’s what you are looking for.

On the other hand, PMBOK mapping doesn’t work well with real-world SDLCs. It’s like different worlds. If you are subscribed to my newsletter, I share a lesson from my course there. It explains how the PMBOK mapping (read integration works). I think you’ll find it helpful as well.

Love the practical advice videos. The PMBOK is mostly useless in practice. It doesn't prepare you for the realities of managing projects. It just is a long winded introduction to basic concepts. Listen to this guy's videos and study practical guides and you'll be on your way.
