I make 56k at age 32 . I’m a male . I have tons of credentials and it took me a while to just get to the 56k mark working in a hospital doing revenue and coding. A lot of these women are in Lala land when it comes to income. There’s a lot of educated and experienced men in the workforce but a lot of industries haven’t caught up with the inflation issue facing this country and the world.
It's intriguing the level of ignorance. I make 6 figures but I know I make excellent money and that I'm no where near the average earner, so to hear these people say that the people they work around make a certain amount and they just think everyone makes that is almost insane to me.
But there are also 36 year olds like me that are making 120k, debt free and approaching a million dollar net worth. Whether you like it or not, we exist, and we are your competition. Level up or log off, complaining about it definitely won’t help you. Good luck out there.
I’m finally making 100k a year, but it’s taken 28 years in my career, and it costs me way more than it’s worth. I am 50, still single, and never home - I’m gone for two months at a time and home for a week or so before leaving again. Sometimes making the money just isn’t worth it. Love your videos. Thank you for the content you put out.
I'm 43 I was making 65 to 90 as a superintendent. I started my own company last year and first year in business I did 88k in business. I should go up from here but it depends on the economy which at the moment is not that great.
@@zenabu80 I’m not saying it can’t be done, but the young lady expecting a guy to make 120k in his early 30’s and be willing to take on a ready made family is being a little unrealistic. Not saying it cannot or won’t happen, but it’s like Courtney said, she’s looking for someone in the top 1% of wage earners.
100% Agreed. A question like that makes it exceedingly obvious that she is materialistic. I would end the date right then and there and never look back. I want a woman who is interested in me, NOT in my money. I’m sure other high income men or men in general here can agree with me on this. Because when I can have any type of woman I want, why would I choose one who is obsessed with material possessions and my income instead of a woman who is easy going, loving, fun, etc. A woman who is like the one with 18 questions is none of those things in my book. If anything though, women that are that materialistic can continue to ask away about my bank account, income, luxury goods I own, etc. It makes it easier for me to not waste time on women like that!
To be fair, she said she makes 6 figures and is 31 and doesn't want to waste time. I can understand her wanting someone ambitious, and she prob doesn't ask that question if she's on a date with a consultant, lawyer, doctor, etc...
Her saying that she lived in a bubble did make sense so I can kinda see her perspective. She likely grew up in upper middle class/rich family and considering she is in finance, it means her family had very good connections. So she has probably never dated a regular/average earning guy.
Im a male in my mid-30s and earning $120K a year in Healthcare. I am grateful however I do feel most of my younger years (20-30) was spent studying/training away without a social life, while my cohort was out partying and enjoying themselves. I don't regret my decisions but I can say money isn't everything and there are times when I wish I was in a field that was less demanding. I'd gladly would take a paycut for more piece of mind. Money ain't everything.
I did the same thing, put everything I had into my career in my early 20s and have been playing catch up on the social front ever since. I did move to a big city so that definitely helped me get more comfortable and grow faster
Whenever I go on a first date and I start hearing ridiculous expectations and standards I immediately pull the “I’m gonna be a stay at home father.” Card and it’s fucking priceless to see their expressions.
As a fellow man. One who tapped out of the dating game long ago… I love and appreciate you man. Keep doing that! I probably love and appreciate you more than these women out here.
I love that... I need to tell my youngest boy about that card. I am most concerned about them taking on someone's debt.and then getting run through the women's court system.
As a woman, if a guy said that to me on first date, I’d say, “Oh cool! Are you gonna homeschool too?” I’d have some questions about the first three years of the children’s lives and also breastfeeding, but otherwise, I’d be cool with it.
I don't think its an unfair question. The future matters, but if its not acceptable she will stay single. Top 30% means you are better than 70% of the other women.
Why are you critical of plus size women that you do not want to date and marry? Focus on the slim women you want. The plus size women I have met only date men that like them.
@@jasonu3741 incorrect. This is the lie of feminism. The only way it works out, is her chasing him. Now you probably say how can that be true? Women subtlety tell you this. Women today chase dopamine. They want spoiled to some degree. Social media is the greatest culprit here though. Once they settle down to their actual low value, they become bored and become single again. And then you find old washed up women with high standards and they all want to travel for more dopamine. The only way to win is to never provide dopamine. Aka don't play the game.
When my daughter fell in love in college with a wonderful young man but I was concerned because he was going to be an underpaid teacher. She said he had high character, was loyal, he cooks, he cleans and that made him a high value man to her. She also works in tech so makes her own money, much more than him and they are very happy.
@@thenoblemarketer6599 Willing to bet they stay married forever just like their parents, grandparents and great grandparents. I’m happily married 38 years and I know my wife was perfect for me after I met her parents and grandparents who were also happily married forever. Sorry you must not have had similar role models in your sad life that made you so skeptical.🤨
Courtney, you should sit down with women from older generations and discuss these topics. I find it interesting that all of the women you have in these videos want the perfect guy, and thus, aren’t married. But I would guess that older women never entertained this idea of the “perfect guy” whenever they were in the dating scene.
I think she's trying to show women in the age that younger guys who watch her channel might be interested in dating themselves. BTW, I'm an old guy who used to practice divorce law...and women were always the same, they just had to settle to survive and often made their husbands miserable because they were miserable, often became stay at home alcoholics/prescription pill poppers/cheaters while husband is at work. You can capture a wild animal but you can't make it like the zoo.
In one of the videos she explained how she is picking up these girls/women. She basically told that she gets into dating apps with a man's profile but be upfront about what to expect. Because older or married women are mostly not on dating apps it would be difficult for her to get them onto videos like these. I understand that seeing a women's perspective that are not delusional and seen reality better is great but might be difficult for Courtney to get them for these videos I guess.
@I am me • 25y ago I feel like if she interviewed older women, they would more likely have traditional views like "the man is supposed to be the provider and the woman the caretaker, the man should pay for all of the dates, the woman should be submissive," etc.
I was watching a doc yesterday about wealthy section of America. If these Instagram women look at wealth online they think it exists everywhere. Money is heavily concentrated in Beverly Hills (only 32,000 population), NYC (Manhattan), Atlanta, Houston, and a few other urban areas in the U.S. The rest of America has very little millionaires.
I just passed my wife income wise. We are both public employees. I was a construction electrician a few years back, making significantly less tgan her. She was always wanting to know howvI waa doing at the job, the challenges, etc. A year before I made just above minimum wage at a hardware store whike finishing up trade school. She was excited for me and brought my 1 year old son to bring me lunch. God, I married a sweetheart
An unspoken point never mentioned in these videos is many women feel that a man not making around 100k isn't worth respect or proper treatment. “He's not making 100k, then he has to be perfect in looks, height, charm, charisma and he certainly can't ask *Anything* of me as a woman” “Additionally, if another man that does meet that requirement gives me a wink and a smile, I will torpedo the relationship to chase the dream of prince charming”
For me it would depend on the person and how it was asked. I think its a completely fair question.Chicks gotta know if their dude has their shit together. Its not always about gucci bags.
@GoodVibesOnly The least a woman can do is be a bit more tactful about it, though. A man's job, car, and living situation as well as where he's taking her should be enough information for the first date.
I used to teach a course on Youth Culture. We spent a few weeks talking about emerging adulthood and expectations of students. Mostly female students in the class. The students were middle to upper middle class background. The women were asked by me in class similar questions from this video. The women were delusional just like here and many podcasts like Fresh and Fit or Whatever. They all wanted men who were over six feet tall, had six figure bank accounts, no older than five years above them, had a house, nice car, were fit (as in six pack abs), and had a very high income ($200-500 k per year). They also felt they could wait until age 40 to start a family. Their delusions had no bounds, but it is common as we see in the video.
I really shouldn't be shocked that kids don't know basic biology and reproduction. Peak fertility ends around 28, starts to decline at 30 then falls of a cliff at 35. You ain't making kids after 40. And besides even if you could why would you want to be dealing with an adolescent when your in your 60s. You have kids that late in life you will work until you die.
@@ROCKETS2965 I mean my mom had me at 40 so it’s definitely possible. Granted, I do have autism but it’s really not the end of the world as society will have you believe
I’m 6-3, six figures, 210 lbs with abs @ 29 years old. The two things I can share is that they’re never satisfied and the delusion never goes away. The past two years I’ve been getting hit up by a bunch of women I used to know that past their prime. With some of them it’s kinda insulting yet somehow they act the most surprised.
@@fortyninehike exactly. All my single dude friends (here in Los Angeles) say the same. I know tons of single, beautiful women complaining about no good men. At least you're young and tall. I'm 5'4", 6 figures, fairly fit, and 48 and competing with all guys of average height and above for women.
I get that no woman wants a broke dude but even average income is seen as broke these days 💀 and these women only date up regardless of how little they bring to the table.
Well, it is what it is. But: There is no reason to cope with them. You are the the master of your fate, you are the captain of your soul... If the devil got boobs, you got the balls of Jesus!

Yeah she works in the mental health field. As a recovering alcoholic… all the down to earth women work in mental health, addiction recovery or were past addicts. ;)
When I recently got promoted, I looked up a video on how to negotiate a higher salary. The lady conducting the video mentioned that one major reason women get paid less is because they are less likely to negotiate their initial salary offer. Yet, men always seem to get the blame for women getting paid less. Just a food for thought.
Or they trade things for salary... I have a co worker in my same position but she negotiated a 4 day/ 30 hour work week. She gets paid less than me because I'm basically on call. But women will scream patriarchy.
Went through this exact situation with my female coworker, I received a good review and I asked for a promotion and a raise and I got it. My female coworker asked me about when should she ask for a raise and I told her if she got a good review (which she did) then she should ask, but she was hesitant. And I told her “that’s why men get paid more because we are not afraid to ask” and we both laughed but that put a spark in her and she got the courage to ask and she got a raise.
Thank you so much for making this video! I am 38 coming up on my 18th wedding anniversary my wife has been working at the same health system for almost 15 years and our household income is still under $100k. I am glad that you started off the video by saying the purpose of the video was not to embarrass anyone and I think you did an excellent job of presenting factual information in a non-combative way
Appreciate the women putting themselves in the spotlight with their answers. Whatever us guys may think individually, it’s not easy putting yourself out there to be judged by others.
That was very interesting indeed! And so very true about the financial literacy part, I worked with a business club in college and we had to go to the high schools and teach financial literacy as an outside organization because schools were not getting this training. And we always wondered why, so important to everyone to learn about credit, about savings about all these aspects to their future
Exactly, all of these women are pricing themselves out of the market. The below average women are asking for a above average men. (Yes 70-80k is above average) The average women are asking for exceptional men. 100k+ The single mother is asking for 120k but he must also blend into her lifestyle. Because in her words “I'm set in my ways” That's great advertisement for why a man with everything going for himself should *NOT* date her.
I'm at the point where I just could care less to take any answers on the Internet serious even if it's legit. You can never truly know how women as a whole think about this stuff and can only go off your own personal interactions with women, and don't get too hung up on videos like this because it's not the end all, be all. Money matters but shouldn't be THE determining factor.
Shouldn't be and is are two different things when considering the views of most women. Money doesn't have to be the only thing to be an absolute deal breaker.
Thing is women say one thing but do another. People mention in other videos that there should be a 5 years follow up to these women to see how their decisions are going.
Perspective- 34 year old man, active duty military member for nine years in a place with a huge basic allowance for housing (BAH), I’m making an adjusted gross income of about $84k.
To me this is a conversation about how much your lifestyle costs in the area you live. After moving to Silicon Valley several years ago, I had to recalibrate how high a salary is required to just make a reasonable living there, especially if you're single. I personally had a relationship end because my over 6-figure salary wasn't near enough for the lifestyle she was looking for.
Bingo 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 And that's it in a nutshell! How I see it, if the money you earn is enough to afford you a nice lifestyle then you're in a good space. If it's enough to afford you and your partner a nice lifestyle you're in a great space. If it's not enough to give her the lifestyle she desires, let her go otherwise you will drive yourself crazy trying to make her happy and any woman who allows that to happen isn't worth her weight in salt.
I'm so sorry and that's why I will never move to a blue state. Remember my dad told me this guy he know back in 2000's where he worked remotely for a silicon valley company. he get both of the world, high salaries and not have to deal with the high cost of California. However I don't think companies now offer package like this anymore(very rarely).
My educated guess in the good looking blond with the pink and black jumper has a good shot at having a solid relationship/marriage...the brunette wanting up to $150,000 salary I believe is going to struggle in relationships...she seems out of balance spiritually to me!
I like how mellow the girl in pink is and how charismatic the girl with blue jacket is, they both made the video more fun to watch. Awesome video Courtney 🤙
Just finished listening to this one today. Much love to the ladies for sharing their perspectives. All very insightful and illuminating, even if there's going to be reaction in the comments. It really feels like Courtney's creating little cultural time capsules, which is absolutely invaluable. I wonder how our attitudes will shift as we age or as culture changes.
Big respect to the disclaimer of not wanting to make anyone look stupid. They can do it all by themselves, just like the old line, "stupid is as stupid does"
We gotta remember that these people are probably not getting much more than a shoutout in the description and maybe a small amount of money for doing this. They're just your average person. This is a great way to see the mindset of the average modern woman today, but it's easy to be critical of people over the internet. The average person does very little introspective thinking, so their mindset is almost entirely a result of the environment they were raised into. A lot of the people on these videos get attacked personally. They just don't understand how unreasonable their thinking is, or at least most of them.
Your comment comes across as unnecessarily mean and insecure. You're basically being given free information here, and your response is to call the people providing it to you "stupid." This reflects poorly on you.
@@chrisc4507 A simp is putting a girls value above yourself. I stated fact, are they not delusional because of the environment they were raised into? In fact, you're not much different from the mentality of these girls. You just sound like a Gigaspurg to me.
I entered the workforce as an engineer in 1979 at a 20k salary. I probably reached 100k by the year 2000. My wife, a website designer, typically made 45% of our household income throughout the years. Neither of us had any college debt. Different generations . . . different circumstances.
I think in 1980s engineering income was more realistic. Now they over paid and it prices out new grads. I graduated a degree in mechanical i tech in 2011. All the jobs at the time require experience.
Yeah you’re a boomer. Your generation was the most entitled and spoiled generation the world has ever seen. I don’t mean you, perhaps, I know you worked hard. But your generation as a whole was given WAY too much for way too little in return and now they all horde it like old ass trolls.
My parents bought their first farm 3 acres house & buildings in 1983 hour south of Chicago for $25k. That property is worth $300-400k now. No Engineer making more than $150k in 2023. my point is 20k salary was equal to housing cost. $150k isn't buying crappy house in this area let alone a farm and 3 acres.
@@trueconservatie33 My background was physics and mechanical engineering. I worked at the Department of Energy Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory for 30 years. I would call myself an instrumentation engineer because my work focused on scientific instruments. I did my fair share of computing programming of automated instruments. Our salaries were kept be competitive with engineering salaries in the Northern California region. The San Francisco Bay area from 1980-2010 WAS a exciting time with the advent of personal computers.
At 65 I used to make 100K. I quit to take care of my long term GF and stress of the job. Best choice. All my things are paid for. I live in a very nice neighborhood. I now am a custodian. No stress. Poor pay. But I am not about that anymore. Have found people do judge you. Sorry for them. I have integrity. That’s important. There is a woman for me.
I think the biggest struggle I have is the desire of already being “finished”. I don’t want to work until until I’m 65. I want to retire early. But that’s not going to happen if I spend all my money as a make it to live a certain lifestyle. It’s been a struggle to find a woman who agrees with that. My ex wanted a 20k wedding rather then investing 20k into a full market stock. It’s funny because I know she’s going to be working until 65 and I’ll retire by 50.
honestly i think social media + instant culture have fundamentally changed our brains, women's in particular as they are the biggest consumers. They have to have everything NOW. And so its near impossible to find women with long term outlooks financially, who can show restraint in the present for better times in the future.
@@brianyang8196 yes. I work at Target and we have quite a few people working past retirement. Most older people don't want to sit around the house all day so they continue to work to remain active and social.
Holy crap this was the first of Courtney interviewing girls about guys' incomes that didn't make me want to gargle cyanide. Thank you Courtney for this ray of hope.
I don't believe a word these girls say. They're being recorded, they're not going to say anything that could paint them in a negative light. Every Gen Z or millenial woman wants the same thing: to live their best life. Some want to travel the world on your dime. Some want a lake house on your dime. Some want a horse. Women are bottomless black holes with finances and next to impossible to please. Want to be nagged? Want to hear her complain? What a woman actually does is usually very different from what she says. Women lie, too. Don't be fooled.
@@joaquin67 Of course they did. These girls know hundreds of thousands of people will see this video. Women care more about the attention they get and their image than anything else. It's important for men to know that women regularly lie to appear and look better than they really do.
@@joaquin67 To be fair - there are a lot of women out there who are realistic about this type of stuff. Not everyone is totally brainwashed by some blenders on the internet. Besides - it is also possible that some of the women in the previous vids knew that their answers where ridiculous and still did it for the show effect. Lastly - it also depends on the life of each individual person. The girl working in financial services in this vid is in fact more likely to meet a man who makes shitloads of money just because of the men she meets in her day-to-day life; bankers (the people she deals with on a daily basis) are among the highest earning people which means for her personally it is a lot more realistic to meet a man who does make like 200 k than for let's say a teacher or a woman working in a retail job who will rarely come into contact with a man like that.
I enjoyed it. Many women are sold a dream in modern society rather than reality. It’s a great discussion on being true to your values while managing expectations
Asking men to make money women themselves can't make and then expect men to share it with them means women have something of value (doesn't have to monetary) to give. Female companionship (read between the lines) and children are really the 2 things that can be come to mind. But with women wanting to work so much, delay having children, and then expecting all these things from men without providing what they can give back is crazy. Women wonder why they are single or end up getting divorces...
I dated a woman for 6 months. She eventually mentioned that my income level was insufficient for the future that she envisioned. I could have understood that because she did have a child. What intensely bothered me about it was that I made slightly more money than her and her occupation had minimal upward mobility. I despise hypocrisy.
Courtney, this was a home run video. Thank you for taking the time and effort to make it! It definitely got me thinking about how important income is to your lifestyle, a partner's lifestyle, and your location.
I feel these girls were a little more reasonable and realistic than one of the other groups of girls that were asked these same questions. After watching one of the other ones I asked my gf about this since both of us are gonna be teachers, and her answer was just not to worry cause we'll make it 😂
How people think and act are two different things. For example, they say they don’t want a guy who is still in his “club or barhopping phase,” but if they are in a bar and a friend says, “he’s hot, you better get him,” then what does everyone think they are going to do?
As a loan officer I often do see that couples together often have similar incomes for the most part. Also, because women do work and with more people being single that does just cause things to be more expensive then they would be if there were less singles
This was a very interesting video. I really like to hear the discussion of a topic from different perspectives. It was very interesting to me how all of these women felt they had to contribute financially to have value in men’s eyes. Some of them came close to discussing the value of being a mother but they saw that as being an additional responsibility as opposed to a primary responsibility. The idea that a household today can’t be accomplished with one income is ridiculous. Expectations and desires are not being properly aligned with the reality of your circumstances (living within your means). It is much more important for the continuation of society to raise your children with proper moral, values and ethics than it is to get a new car every year or live in a nicer house. It can’t be argued that for children to learn to deal with real life issues would be of much greater value. The value of money as a tool and how to manage it for accomplishing a goal. How to cook, plumbing, hobbies, reading, organization, etc. I understand that the topic of this video was already ingrained in the minds of the guest so assumptions were made by them about discussion content.
My wife left me over money when I was making 50k a year. 2 years later, I’m making 236k with no kids. I’m 6’1”, good looking, and humble. I have zero desire to provide for a woman. So many woman have just looked at me for the problems of theirs my money can or can’t solve. They just aren’t worth it to me anymore.
Also, Marla really crushed it this video. She seems really sharp with this stuff given her background, definitely was interesting to hear her views on the questions asked.
33yo here and the last 4 years I've grossed over 100k I'll say this. More money makes life more comfortable yes, but the saying, more money = more problems is extremely accurate. Comparison is the thief of all joy.
I'm glad you talked about the importance of spending habits as well. I'd say it's just as important, if not more so than how much someone makes. I have a friend who makes $350,000 a year and lives paycheck to paycheck. Him and his family travel all the time, have multiple cars, and have a large home. But also a ton of debt, he's constantly stressed and doesn't like his job. I don't even make a quarter of that, but I live below my means, have low stress, and enjoy my jobs.
I only make $18 an hour right now, am looking for something that pays more, but I refuse to enter any industry that coerces me into doing more than 40 hours a week or is stressful.
Madi’s take on couple finances in the beginning is enough for me to want to date someone like her. Her stance on that is exactly my stance. So big ups to Madi.
@@josephblow8724 That's exactly what I was thinking. Every girl that says 50/50 isn't necessarily being honest. In the US what they say doesn't always match with what they do.

How lucky I am to have met my wife in 2009. We had nothing to our names she was in school and I was working at a restaurant as a cook we were both in our early 20s. We grew together and kept building. I am the bread winner but at the same time we been through so much. These women have a right to have their standards but it’s crazy how it’s not even about a man’s character anymore it’s just income. A guy may be at a certain point one minute and be at a different point in a few years. Rather he makes 150k and gets laid off/fired or if he makes 50k and makes 120k in a few years.
I've watched a bunch of your videos with younger girls talking about income and this is the bunch who seems to have the best handle on reality. Hope isn't lost for the future generation. I'm 48 and I am solidly in 6 figures - but I've been doing what I do for longer than these girls have been alive!
Some of these girls actually seem really interesting and I think would be able to hold good conversations. Although I’m not sure if it would be weird if I ever met any of them after seeing them on these videos (I live in the same area). But most people in our area are generally more down to earth despite what people in the comments might think. And great job on the videos, Courtney!
Two things: I've come to accept that the wage gap myth will never die. If you think that financial literacy should be taught in school, you clearly don't remember what we were like at that age. I really enjoyed this panel. Thanks for participating, ladies. Edit: since folks keep responding to this comment, I'll clarify that my second note (about school) was intended to be tongue-in-cheek. I've worked with teenagers and Boy Scouts for almost 20 years, so I'm well familiar with teaching them skills that they currently don't care about. But we can all laugh a little at the follies of youth, yes?
I was thinking the same thing about being taught financial literacy in school. Even if it was, that’s not going to make everyone in class pay attention and want to learn.
I've noticed that. How the heck did the line "women make 70-something cents for every dollar a man makes" become SO prevalent? It's been debunked so many times, yet so many people refuse to let it go. How the heck does that happen?
@@enderlionheart4497 in college these days you get graded based on your agreement with your professor/course work. If your school says something exists, it exists. That’s the extent of people’s ability to think today.
I get what you’re saying, but that doesn’t mean we should just give up on it. At the very least we should be taught how taxes work, as they are the only thing that people are guaranteed to use after they graduate regardless of career path. If nothing else, offer it as an elective like home economics was. And I hope it goes without saying I’m referring to the financial literacy point. The wage gap myth will exist so long as feminism is popular.
I haven't forgotten shit. I was raised to know life isn't fair, equal, and you do in fact have to "pull yourself up by your boot straps". My first job was $4.25/hr when I was 16. I did have financial and government classes in high school, back when school taught shit. But I also had responsible parents who pounded the right mentality into my head. I was never as naïve or retarded as some of those girls displayed. I never expected any level of salary or had unrealistic expectations, I just worked hard at no matter what I did . Just because SOME kids don't pay attention or learn doesn't mean we shouldn't teach it. That attitude is as stupid as their lack of financial literacy.
I really liked the disclaimer at the beginning about not wanting anyone to look stupid, that's one of the reasons I like your content so much. I'm also glad that this is a long video as this is a very important topic. *settles in*
As always, appreciate this. Being vulnerable deserves an applause. I like the set up of questions. It ain’t “gotcha”. They just segue into the next one nicely. I saw empathy and compassion and that’s normally not apparent in these videos. Hearing a little bit from these same ladies in other videos I know something about their lifestyle. Can’t help but think there’s a difference between what they say in the video and then what’s done. But that is quite cynical by me.
I think part of the issue is that people never really logic out the things they want in life and then place a dollar sign on a lifestyle. These women are giving you their most ideal life, not their most probable life. I like the way Courtney asks the questions. It's a very healthy exercise for people to talk this through and then attach a dollar sign. Reality is that these women are describing a lifestyle for people have worked for decades to obtain - not something you get out the gate at 25. Once you talk to them more, they appear willing to adjust their expectations. I'm not sure why men get so upset about women stating their most ideal life
I liked the opinions from Madi and Victoria. Very good discussion generating video and thanks to all the ladies that were part of this. Income is equivalent to drive is not always the case, teachers and those in education or at volunteer organizations can be extremely driven, but the wages for their efforts rarely come close to matching up.
These women have seen zillions of these “what women want in a spouses income” videos and now they’re all politically correct about it. I guarantee you if they had a husband that made half as much as they do, they would kick him to the curb.
She should only interview the one percent of women who are introverted intuitive thinkers. These women are the most likely to be both aware of how they fit into the economy and self-aware of their own wants and desires and to see other women for what they are.
They are imagining that if the guy looks like Brad Pitt, they'll accept that he makes less than them. However, if he is balding and out of shape, then he gets kicked to the curb.
I like how that girl said that if you've been in a field for nearly ten years you should be making 150-200k. How many fields lead to making that much money even at the top earner income? LMAO. She's saying "it doesnt matter. it feels shallow, but he should be in a field where he's rich".
@@kh9242 Actually I don't think that (with the exception of the single mom). Among this current round of guests only the mom had unrealistic expectations - and no, the girl who said 150-200 k does not fall into that category for two reasons: 1) she was the one who didn't want to put any number out and only did so because she was pressed to do so 2) She's working in the one type of business (financial services) where it is actually not unlikely to meet a man who makes that amount of money just because of the men she deals with on a day-to-day basis and therefore has a lot more contacts to rich men than women working in other jobs.
@@LadislausMarguspa Except that she didn't say that at all. Watch her comments again. She never said that she expects men to pay anything for her - not once. She said that she expects to find a man with such an income because that's the people she works with and meets in her day-to-day life - that's just the people in her job (financial services). And yes, because of that fact she is more likely to meet someone who makes that much money. Her comments are 100 % reasonable. As she said - couples often have proportionate incomes, and that is indeed often the case. A huge amount of people don't find their partner on a dating app or in a club - they meet their partners in their day-to-day life. And what people do you meet in your day-to-day life? Your co-workers. When asked she specifically said that's the people she meets in her industry and that is definetly true. That's actually the girl who didn't want to give a number at all at first and only did so because Courtney pushed her to do so - and then she only said that she thinks that men should make that much and that corporations need to compensate their employees fairly (which is absolutely true but sadly often not the case).
Women don't understand that while the Kardashians' lifestyle has been hyped as the new normal for 20 years, we've been living in a guilded age for over 10 years. The middle class is only one step above being a peasant population at this point.
Courtney, you are very skilled at interviewing people. Great questions and following up with people as well as being very conversational overall. I hope you continue to do these interviewing videos whether on the street or like this video. They are definitely one of your strengths.
Dating is way harder than just expecting a partner with good income. Where do you find women who are willing to build a home in a supporting relationship? I'm a 33 male, $150k a year, no debt (other than my house), decently looking, a bit short (5'7"), no addictions, family oriented, no kids, financially savvy. I have focused so much on being the best version of myself for years, I have struggled to meet a romantic partner.
The one in the life insurance industry, in my opinion, is well put together. The way she phrases things is very well thought out and mature and a has a clear decisive line with things. I feel like she asks for high standards in a man but in respectful way. This is only natural for her bc she has high standards for herself. Very attractive! 🥰
Good job Courtney in showing that while they may not always have the most realistic expectations, not all women are vapid gold-diggers. These women all seem pretty smart and sweet. The curly blonde especially seems super genuine and self-aware. But any of them look like a good potential partner for someone like myself. Ladies like this won't be single long! Thank you. This is the content we need.
Money is not the end all be all. I know currently of plenty of wealthy men whose personal lives are drama filled and very messy. If you invest yourself too much into your job, the life away from work typically gets neglected. Should you want to be the star at work and go for all the goals? Absolutely. But make sure your personal life has the attention it needs as well.
I almost had a heart attack when that first one said $100-$120k. My God, what does she want golden toilets? I don't know what I would do with that fortune, I have extra money for hobbies at $16k. It is just shocking how little these girls had a clue of what people actually earn. They think everyone is working in tech and high paying jobs when most work in minimum wage jobs. Cost of living everywhere is not Cleveland girl, or any big city. Median income is good money in most of the country.
And the one woman equating a man's drive to his supposed well over $100K salary. She is entitled to her opinion but that is insulting to a large majority of men.
I make about 105k at 30, it's more than I need which is why I save most of it. I'd probably be fine financially with about 50k/yr. I invest like 36k a year, most of which is after tax.

This is what dialogue should look like: having a conversation to understand and seek the truth; not debating endlessly who is right & who is wrong between men & women. It's great that you're encouraging self-reflection among women to reflect on their perceptions of men, vs the reality for most men which is unfortunately more grim than most women are aware. Also, if you wish to seek the truth about current gender wage gap, consider how honestly children are factored into studies that discuss gender wage gap; it's surprising.

I can't help but think that these girls' answers were carefully prepared in advance. Prepared by themselves, I mean, not by Courtney. This was shown, I think, at the beginning, when they were all 'I only care if he's happy'. Then Courtney delves deeper, and we discover that they don't know the difference between 30k and 70k+. Now, I'm European, so I cannot relate to the magnified importance Americans accord to money (which ARE important, but we usually don't walk around expecting to tell someone 'I make 30k/40k/50k'. If anything, we tell people our monthly wage, but not on the first date), but even so, I get that those women let their expectations befuddle their cognitive abilities. Something that I find quite worrying, and this affects Europe as well, at least in my country (Italy) is the insistence on 'lifestyle'. Just like in the US, our court system is heavily biased towards women. Men are required to pay support money 'in accordance with the lifestyle their former wife was used to'. We did have a ruling adapting the support money to the men's actual financial possibilities, but we don't have common law here, so rulings aren't usually enshrined in our legal codes. Every time I read 'lifestyle' I always see an invisible 'I want you to fund my'. I'm not a psychologist, but an historian. Nevertheless, I'll leave an advice here: always be wary of people saying whatever 'mainstream' thing they think you will like. I have no surefire clue to suggest, or at least not in the technical sense, but be alert of people gesticulating a lot and making a lots of faces. Be wary of people interrupting you and constantly enfatically repeating your last word along with interjections. An example: A: 'I think a relationship should be based on mutual trust and values, not just on money...' B: 'NO, ABSOLUTELY! Like, money are, like, important but like they're not the ONLY important thing, value DO matter, as you say...' Beware of long monologues of madeup phrases like the one the blonde girl in pink delivered. That's a way to fool the fool. Don't be one. Be like Courtney: be SPECIFIC. Everyone knows how to please everyone without saying anything. Not just politicians. Politicians do that because they know many people like that, and can't be bothered to think the world is complex.
We have similar laws in the US about supporting a spouse’s lifestyle after divorce but while I’m sure it sucks to be in that situation it just reinforces the idea of dating and marrying within your class. If you pick someone up off the street you become the provider and I would guess that the laws in place are to make sure the other person isn’t just thrown out onto the street.
This is an excellent discussion. You’re grounded in reality, and you enlighten the ladies without lecturing them. Brava! Before 40 I never made more than $55K, but by a stroke of luck and accumulation of hard work & experience, my income suddenly jumped way up with a new job. Yes, I have a master’s degree, but plenty of dudes at the same level of education never got my salary, at the top 7%. If I were still dating, I would certainly rule out the ladies who come with income expectations, but who don’t bring something to the table themselves.
Exactly my experience as well. The huge irony being: my income AND net worth both spiked again after 50. Is it a coincidence that I also quit dating during that time? Probably not IMHO.
Here in Northern VA countless ladies have turned me down for my low income of only $90k. I have zero student debt because never went to uni. I'm too stupid also because I never went to uni. Super common here to see ladies with masters degrees working part time retail jobs with over $100k in debt.
NOVA is tough bro, if you’re not born with money out there is hard! I got out of there 6 years ago, I make $110k but the cost of living is almost half. I’m definitely livin my best life outside of VA. When I was there making 80k at twice the COL I felt poor af.

“ Maybe companies should start paying people more…” shows a fundamental lack of understanding of how the world works. Companies pay the minimum possible so they can earn a profit. if we actually had a true government (instead of the current cozy collaboration between government and corporations), government would actually mandate minimum wages and more fairly tax billionaires for the costs that allowed them to make their billions.
There is no such thing as a "true" government. The government has a monopoly over force because they literally own the military. In fact I would consider anyone who advocates for MORE government to be the enemy of the people. The government is not meant to fix our problems, it deals with people outside is and it is meant to keep tyrants in line. Unfortunately more government only ensures tyrants become the government. Billionaires will find ways to evade taxes, hell they already do so quite masterful through stocks and investments... Things that simply cannot be taxed at all. When taxes are raised, it is the middle class that is robbed, the rich love taxes because all they have to do is go international or invest in stocks, modern art or any other trades that cannot be accounted for. Ordinary people have no such refuge. You are also ignorant of the way the world works. In fact you are probably more ignorant because only a moron trusts any government since all big ones are incentivized to make the people weak and dependent, least they lose control of their own people.
The lady with her 18 questions and would ask a man how much he makes on a first date. If I’m out to dinner with someone and she asks me that question I’m making you leave my table so I can eat my $30 plate of food in peace. Don’t EVER marginalize my salary. As a man I work very hard for what I get paid and will not let you push that judgement on me.
Honestly, I'd be annoyed as hell that she couldn't ask some of these questions before it got to the first date stage. Very rude of her and even if you passed her questions with flying colors, she would fail just for asking.
I always carry a pen and small notebook on a date. If the lady raises the topic of income, I am willing to share, provided she is equally willing to share her financial info. I will ask about her income sources, her expenses, her pre-tax net income, her debts, her investment portfolio and her personal net worth, and having recorded that, sensing whether it is believable. I will not get huffy about talking money on the first date if that is a big concern. But I will get huffy (i.e. ditch the lady) if the indications are that her idea of a relationship is transactional.
I absolutely love these videos. It just proves that you believe what a woman does not what she says. I’ve gone on dates with so many women from dating apps and every single one says “I don’t sleep with guys on the first date”. And literally only one out of all of them actually stuck to their word. They are so ruled by emotions. 😅 throws logical thinking out the window.

I make a few steps more than the median income for my age group, but I'm somewhat of a far reach from $100K. I've been with the same family owned multi-billion dollar company for 29 years which honestly has never laid anyone off. @I am me • 25y ago you're going to need to be more specific: what age range should Courtney be considering when doing these interviews? Keep in mind that the age range of the women feature in this video is 24 to 31 (some people start taking dating a little more seriously around these ages). Also, I'm pretty sure Courtney mentioned in another video that some of the people she brings on her channel are people she met on apps like Tinder and Bumble. Statistically-speaking, most people who use those apps will probably be in the age range of 18 to 29.
@I am me • 25y ago I can agree that there is some sampling bias in these interviews, and diversifying the age range could provide additional input. A representative interview would have participants from four different age groups (say 25-31, 32-38, 39-45, and 45+) and income levels (low, medium, high). I think it's safe to say that the intended target audience for this specific video are young single professionals (by young, let's say 25-30), and most of the individuals featured in this interview fit this profile. Were some of their expectations unrealistic? Yes, but they were then given the stats to show that those expectations are not easily attainable. In my opinion, this video was great because it acknowledges the issues surrounding income when it comes to dating/relationships.
The crazy part about this is that wages are literally DECREASING. In an older video the median didn't go higher that 65k. Now it's 61k. And I feel the median salary for the various ages have decreased also.
I enjoyed every single minute of this video. These ladies are so well-spoken and accomplished. It’s so refreshing to see because social media will have you believe that these types of women don’t exist anymore or are a dime a dozen
These women were already on this channel w much different responses. Watch the first one for “more* truthful responses. * unrealistic expectations x20.
@I am me • 25y ago just a guess on my part, but I think Courtney was showing that the click bait and sound bites from the Red Pill community is not quite accurate and that we all need to be expanding our understanding through better communication/conversation. Also that the structure of our society obscures the reality of most people. A massive survey would not show that a frank conversation is required. Next, Courtney is in a very specific part of the country with a specific demographic. She is not going to get the broad, diverse interviews you would expect because whatever she is making from these videos is definitely not paying enough to cover that expense.
@@deanthroop8054 Which is the exact same problem with Courtney's "Men need to wear this, do this, etc". Because her interviews and her opinions come from a big city perspective and gives blanket opinions while not considering that she followers who aren't from big liberal cities.

An unspoken point never mentioned in these videos is many women feel that a man not making around 100k isn't worth respect or proper treatment.
“He's not making 100k, then he has to be perfect in looks, height, charm, charisma and he certainly can't ask *Anything* of me as a woman”
“Additionally, if another man that does meet that requirement gives me a wink and a smile, I will torpedo the relationship to chase the dream of prince charming”

Bingo 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
And that's it in a nutshell!
Well you were in flaky California. Go to the Midwest. Girls like Courtney are there. Not Silicon Valley

They learn to look good in the internet.
Never trust a woman's word, look at her actions.
I just wonder if they saw the previous videos and read the comments, thus giving the more socially acceptable answer.
"Companies should just pay more." Problem solved, right?

Also, because women do work and with more people being single that does just cause things to be more expensive then they would be if there were less singles
wow good point. lots of wasted housing because the sexes are both ruined by social media.
Two things:
I've come to accept that the wage gap myth will never die.
Just because SOME kids don't pay attention or learn doesn't mean we shouldn't teach it. That attitude is as stupid as their lack of financial literacy.

I guarantee you if they had a husband that made half as much as they do, they would kick him to the curb.
very true and we have to remember that women are mostly guided by emotion subconsciously. So, what they say is often not what they mean
However, if he is balding and out of shape, then he gets kicked to the curb.
none of these women are interesting,
I think this is a different crowd. Some of the other "modern women delusion" podcasts seem to bring only broken gold digging entitled slut types.
I like how that girl said that if you've been in a field for nearly ten years you should be making 150-200k. How many fields lead to making that much money even at the top earner income? LMAO. She's saying "it doesnt matter. it feels shallow, but he should be in a field where he's rich".
If you're not getting a 10-20k pay raise every year just for existing, what are you doing son?
It would be interesting to check on these ladies in 5 years.
They will be single, angry and approaching the wall. The cause of their sadness is of course men
Ladies died a long time ago
@@kh9242 Actually I don't think that (with the exception of the single mom). Among this current round of guests only the mom had unrealistic expectations - and no, the girl who said 150-200 k does not fall into that category for two reasons:
1) she was the one who didn't want to put any number out and only did so because she was pressed to do so
2) She's working in the one type of business (financial services) where it is actually not unlikely to meet a man who makes that amount of money just because of the men she deals with on a day-to-day basis and therefore has a lot more contacts to rich men than women working in other jobs.
@@HH-hd7nd shes making $200k and still wants a man to pay her bills. thats why its unreasonable.
Great channel. One suggestion is to present the age and profession info as a subheader under each guest. This helps provide context to their feedback
Women don't understand that while the Kardashians' lifestyle has been hyped as the new normal for 20 years, we've been living in a guilded age for over 10 years. The middle class is only one step above being a peasant population at this point.
Modern women: “My standards are superficial, but I don’t want to look superficial”
Also women "Don't look at my body, but I also do want to show my body"
Courtney, you are very skilled at interviewing people. Great questions and following up with people as well as being very conversational overall. I hope you continue to do these interviewing videos whether on the street or like this video. They are definitely one of your strengths.
Taken straight from the Kevin Samuels playbook.
Chad- she’s much nicer than Kevin ever was.
I don't know if you've heard the criticism before but you should definitely add more background to these girls lives, like how they grew up.
I'd really like that, tbh.
Right. I had the impression most had a relatively privileged upbringing, with educated parents who taught their children real-world skills.
What's funny is it's not as much as you think. A high income makes things easier if you live like you make a lot less.
I make about 105k at 30, it's more than I need which is why I save most of it. I'd probably be fine financially with about 50k/yr. I invest like 36k a year, most of which is after tax.
@@Lolatyou332 You are rocking at 30 making that much bank. Do not get married!!!! Research irrevocable trusts and start focusing on asset protection. Meet with a pro and get all the protections you can in place before even exploring the idea of marriage.
She will come to you with the end planned from the beginning with a team of people, organizations, and government at her back ready to destroy you and enrich her.
Reason why you get into Finance is that you are attracted to money in the first place. I am not sure I would want a partner that has that trait.
Correct, it is a negative trait all the way. People who are obsessed / into Finance, are completely disconnected from their primal urges and attributes. They also tend to be very cowardly.

An example:
A: 'I think a relationship should be based on mutual trust and values, not just on money...'
B: 'NO, ABSOLUTELY! Like, money are, like, important but like they're not the ONLY important thing, value DO matter, as you say...'
Beware of long monologues of madeup phrases like the one the blonde girl in pink delivered. That's a way to fool the fool. Don't be one.
Be like Courtney: be SPECIFIC. Everyone knows how to please everyone without saying anything. Not just politicians. Politicians do that because they know many people like that, and can't be bothered to think the world is complex.
I agree, as a European as well, the tendency Americans have to flaunt their annual income boggles the mind
This felt doctored to me as well. These answers were prepared
This group of girls may have seen Courtney's previous videos on income so they had time to think about answers on the subject about partner's income.
Women don't prepare. That would take effort.
We never ask this, but where you live makes a huge difference. In LA 120k is pretty low, but in back roads Pennsylvania, that's pretty dang good money

If a woman expects her man to have 6 figures then she also better provide 6 figures... they wanted equality and that's what they deserve.
In all the interviews with this group, the girl with the cheap spray tan made the most sense
Here in Northern VA countless ladies have turned me down for my low income of only $90k. I have zero student debt because never went to uni. I'm too stupid also because I never went to uni. Super common here to see ladies with masters degrees working part time retail jobs with over $100k in debt.

Imagine that, the 30 some year old single mom asking you how much money you make as the first question. Red flag. Run.

@I am me • 25y ago By that logic most women are gold-diggers.
@I am me • 25y ago earlier you mentioned you wanted to see older women be included in these interviews. May I ask what ages you were thinking?
If she does one with older women, maybe she can interview Vlog Mom, she's also in Cleveland.
Showing more of the interviews absolutely expanded the picture and helped to show the nuance and more practical views of participants.
