I disagree with something mentioned here The bible doesn't encourage some of the things mentioned here. Ruth 1 says that 3 times Naomi encourages Ophar and Naomi to go back to their parents house. Philippians 2 encourages that we value others above ourselves just as Christ did for us. 2 Timothy 4 encourages that we continue preaching the correct gospel not what people want to hear... And to all of us listening to any preaching Acts 17:11 encourages us to examine the scriptures not only to be hearers. If the Believers from Berea went back to the scriptures after Paul had preached to them. How more you and I?
I absolutely agree with you sir, the true gospel that Jesus lived was that of love and self denial and servitude to others more than yourself, and this sermon is in contradiction with Mathew 22:39 which states that" you must love your neighbor more than you love yourself " let us be mindful of the context of the verse when we share the gospel, the subject of enemies in the Bible only applied to the enemies of the true gospel, the devil and the enemy of our salvation which is our sinful nature but we thank God for Jesus who is the light that shines in the darkness of our lives and the holy spirit that teaches us to discern biblical messages in accordance with God's Word and glory
But this sermon is in conflict and contradiction with Luke chapter 6 verse 32 - 36 which emphasizes that we should love and be patient with one another therfore I don't agree that we must "love ourselves more than we love others", that's not biblical but self centered
