    In 2000, I had the experience of traveling Shipwreck Coast. We stopped at every point of interest, hit the caves that had collapsed. Thank you for sharing and bringing back precious memories of my time spent with my Pen pal of 40 years.

      Ash Ketchum I recon this is an ancient star fort - remnant domes, arches and tunnels can be seen in this ‘airage’ and the cliff face is the star fort/castle wall. Disguised with a coating of mud and the domes have mostly fallen or melted down. Still see their domed outline in places along the cliff, and metallic colour change where they were made of iron/copper
      Search up star forts and mud flood if u want to see what was before - the his story or their story replaced the real story of where we be
      When their lie buries hide/delete the truth u get miss stories or cover stories.

    Imagine being trapped on the bridge one! Even more frightening, knowing you had just walked on it 😓
    I live in a costal part of SA where the foundations are limestone. After the winter weather of rain and storms, along the beach there are perfect mounds of dirt and debis that collect on the beach at the bottom of the cliffs. It's just amazing how things that have been in place for centuries start to fall into the sea. And how new things form out of the turbulence that is the sea.

    Thank you for the great video. You have contributed a great deal. I was here in early 2000, alone. Then I am back today with a 11 year old son and hb. Feeling nostalgia. One less apostle and no more arch. Hope future generations will still have the chance to see whatever is left by then. Nature's wonder, Nature decides.

    I went there, and some other places, on a five day geography excursion during 1990. London bridge had fallen by that time but many other features were still there. It is not shown here but there is a stairwell from clifftop down to the beach. I don't remember exactly where but it is nearby the group of the sea-stacks. The legend is that a local fisherman wanted to cast from the beach so he dug out a sandstone stairwell all the way down with a shovel. If this is exactly true or not I cannot say. I wasn't there to verify the digging, however I can say the stairwell is there. It is a tad rough and rustic but we walked down and back up again. We further went to the Grampians, MT Noorat, MT gambier where there are two lakes near one and other with one being fresh water and the other salt, Portland, Warrnambool, and some place where they make cheese.

    Excellent work mate. that is very skillfull work.
    the thing i cant understand about all these collapses is that they looked very sound and solid, and if they were formed millions of years ago, how could they collapse when they were still so solid.

    • @IntotheWildFilms
      @IntotheWildFilms  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      kev mc In reality the sandstone and limestone is relatively soft. Whist the layers that make up the formations were laid down many millions of years ago, the monoliths that remain are only about 6,000 years old. The shipwreck coast, as it is known, takes one hell of a beating from the wild Southern Ocean. Thanks for the kind feedback mate, much appreciated.

      Its just natural erosion, the shore line is in a constant state of collapse. Over time these monoliths will completely disappear but also new ones are being formed. Thanks for watching. Cheers Phil

    • @IntotheWildFilms

      Can video camera's do that? I have a Sony 4k video camera

    • @IntotheWildFilms
      @IntotheWildFilms  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Alex Mc the best way to shoot timelapse is by shooting still pics then compiling them in your editor. Your camera needs to shoot stills and has an inbuilt intervalometer or has a jack to connect an external intervalometer. I hope that makes sense

      +No Way - I'm trying to work out who is "Worried about a couple of rocks"? no-one on this thread. You missed entire the point the artist is trying to portray, impermanence is a noble truth, its about appreciating the moment because nothing lasts forever. Go back to reviewing digital watches.
