- What's goin on TH-cam!? Just wanted to show you my car stereo system in my 2016 Toyota Corolla S. Lemme know what ya'll think. Feel free to leave a like and a comment down below.
Here's my setup:
2 Cerwin Vega Pro 12's @ 1500w RMS (750w ea)
1 Rockford Fosgate R1200 Prime Monoblock Amp (1200w RMS)
1 Dual 12 inch Ported Enclosure
1 Alpine 400w 4 Channel Amp
1 Stinger 10 Farad Capacitor
1 Stinger Volt Gauge Meter
1 XS Power D965 2000 Cold Amp Battery
Stinger 0 Gauge Wire from Battery to Cap

I like your tastes in audio. You didn't buy any over rated over priced shit but you did everything right. Vegas are super under rated. I wouldn't have gone with a ported box but I like SQ over spl

Cerwin Vegas are kind of old school. Most older men will know about them.. the younger generation may not even heard the name before. They make really quality subs and they have a sub for every price bracket.. from cheap to high end. That's why I like them

The good ole days, i came in 2nd place 500 watts and under amateur class My shit rocked the stage lol only reason i was beat cause of i had a tape cassette and he had an CD player Watts dont mean shit theses days my wifes hair dryer has 1600 watts lol I was running a simple punch amp 2 8s vegas alpine reciever crossed at a 2 ohm load! it was sick! im shure your car sounds amazing bro! remember anyone can shake and vibrate a car ist all about specia mids highs and perfect ballance as you know been into Audi my whole life, thanks for sharing your C stereo Respect Love IceMan👍
I got the same subs. After 20 years of car installs I stopped at these. I’ve had Fosgate kicker Kenwood JL JBL alpine, and in their power range and size, and of course price, the Vega came out on top. What’s nice is the surround doesn’t protrude past the trim ring yet it still has ungodly excursion.
Yes I am very pleased with these subs. They are reasonably priced too!
I have the same amps and the same kicker set up you sound really good the Rockfords hit harder than any amp out there very under rated

@@JAYREEZE1 You wire the speakers to create your final resistance (ohms). Lookup wiring speakers in series and parallel it's not too bad to learn 👍

Nice setup... I love cerwins... a lot of these young cats dont k ow about cerwin vegas.. one of the best subs for the money.. only thing is your camera did you a disservice of picking up the lows.. but all and all it sounds clean and nice... I'm sure it beats in person... Good job bro!!!
I had a 97 Acura Integra, 3 12" cerwin vega's and i managed to crack my windshield at a stoplight. I was 17. That was back in 2003. Im 39 now riding i minivan with kids. Nothing's changed, I'm just a grown kid with money now. I might put another system in the van, hella air to push.
I bet it sounds amazing in person!! I have my Rockford Fosgate 1200 1D pushing a Skar EVL-10 D2 in my pickup and it pounds, I can imagine what those Vegas are like!! Nice setup! Love it

Drop that Prime down to .8 ohm bridged to those Vegas🧐 mine has been there for a year now on 2 Deaf Bonce 15s, Jack it up and put some air under it that way you can play it longer before it gets too hot at full tilt.Let it breathe your next upgrade will be an alternator ,some marine fans or bigger subs,great build.

@@jalliboy 90% of all sound quality issues people have are caused by bad installs or bad crossover settings. Doing things like running the crossover on their deck and amp at the same time is one of the most common... Makes everything sound like shit

My friend has a pretty dope setup (Memphis M6 12’s in a ported box, 1500 watt Power series Rockford amp, 600 watt power series Rockford 4 channel, Memphis Components and JL coaxials). His go to song to demo the system is low life. It’s honestly the best bass hits I’ve ever heard clarity and power wise. Also, the M6 subs look very similar to these Cerwin-Vega subs.

I have all cerwin in my ride including the same subs to a Boss AR2400 amp. with a Cerwin 4 channel pushing my 6.5 components in the front doors and 6.5 2 way cerwin in the rear doors. Everything sounds amazing.

I just installed two 6×9 cerwin vega 350 watt speakers front doors. And two 6×5 cerwin vega 300 watt speakers in my back doors. What a difference it makes going from factory 20 watt front speakers and 40 watt back speakers to these cerwin vegas.
They are still hungry....but glad cerwin is making a well deserved comeback. That sundown crap😖

I would turn the around. Be much cleaner an wouldn't rattle that trunk. I got the 10 in a sealed box at .75 and one 12 in ported 1.50 they sound clean and hit hard. I'm all about sq and not spl but I got both.
I agree. I also have the 10 inch pros. Running a PPI 2600.1 amp at 2ohm gain at 40% just where it sounds clean but even pushing the on occasion for a bit. Music is what impressed the ear. Clean hard hitting Bass! SPL is easy SQ takes work!! Good daze!!

I have the prime 1200 on 2 american bass tnt 10's. Amp is killing it and sounds amazing. My birth sheet shows 1381 rms at 1ohm. Prime amps are great in my opinion. Fosgate isn't it. U know it's good

My brother had those old school cerwin Vegas 15s back in 2006 those subs would bump super loud like two blocks down rattling my windows in my house. Wonder how the new subs sound they look nice though.

To be honest I actually don't know but yeah, the camera/video doesn't do it justice :)
Just make sure the single ported box tuned properly by a expert installer and handmade well enclosure.I have the same twelves and ported box as well and pushing them a pioneer 2400 watts with bass knob.And it pounds and shakes ASF and it tooked a chunked of of the windshield from the mirror and I just had medium volume around 25 on the volume!😁

4 x 95ah AGM batteries
2 x 12" SPL dynamics 300D1A
1 x SPL dynamics ICE 150.0 4 channel amp and a DDM4A 7kw mono amp :D

I had same amp on 2 12 vmaxx in my corolla, just upgraded to the fosgate t1500 bdcp with a kinetik 1800 when my batteries get little low the bass hits it actually pulls down on the motor when im driving🤣

But i work in the mud and its my daily driver so i just kinda let it go. But if i get a chance ill atleast tidy up the car a bit and do a video so i can get slammed shamed for the quick half assed install job lol

It's okay to have whatever you want as long as it fits and is given enough power. With that much base you will definitely need another battery in the back and might even need to install an additional alternator. Just a few things to keep in mind. I would ask your local car audio store or research on TH-cam beforehand cuz that is a much more serious instal than mine.

Omg that exactly I was looking for it, I want to build, almost exactly like yours for my lowrider convertible., but 6 speakers of kicker and 4 hertz speaker. And 2 Rockford 12 subs with 1200.1 watts amp
For speaker amplifier, 4 channel of Rockford 400/4 each channel 100 watts per speaker, Rockford 400/2 2 channel, 200 watts per channel. And I don’t remember what model number, jl audio 600/4, 150 watts per channel.
I want to adding more speakers but the same time I want look OG look aka original style lowrider car….
I remember my original plan to build, I want to put 20 speakers and 2 Rockford 16 subwoofers…. But those too big for that and plus we need a lot of space and electrical system…. Does overkill and overloaded.

Kyzer Base .... Glad to see someone else like minded. I like how you used some of the lesser known stuff that's really really good. People pay big money for JL W7's when you can get similar or better sound for 30% the price with Vega Pros. I also liked the choice of alpine for the full range. Only place I thought you fucked up was those kicker speakers... Your full range was a little weak as a result. Should have gone Infinity or Kenwood or Hertz or several others. Hate Kicker full range speakers.... not a fan of their subs either. Very impressive over all! I'm just a fan of systems where people utilize the lesser known more affordable options. You don't want walmart crap but you don't need boutique brands or big money for high end sound. Well done!
You're absolutely right about the kicker speakers. I upgraded to Focal 6.5s and tweeters in the front and it makes a huge difference. Thanks a lot for this awesome comment!

System sounds good. I will be going with 2 10"s in a ported box. I drive a Nissan Titan, so my system will be going under my back seat in the crew cab. I will run a 4000 max 2000 rms Rockville amp on them. I will also change out factor door speakers to a more cleaner sound. I'm also going with kicker over Rockford. For get what anyone says, that system sound nice over cam. I can only image what it sounds like in person.

Chris Hester never liked Rockville. I had a Rockville amp pushing a 15' mtx 7000 and it distorted BAD on low passes but the USA crunch amp I had worked beautifully.

I just bought that amp and have two Rockford fosgate T3 15inch dual coil woofers. P3 15” features Dual 4-Ohm voice coils, 600 Watts RMS of power handling. Would that be a good setup? I had to build the box inside the trunk as it would be too big to build outside the trunk. (2004 volvo s80). I'm using the stock radon with a high level converter. Suggestions?

I have a 2011 corolla. Same subs but custom box. Back panel rattle took me a week to get rid of. I even dynamated the panel. The key was foam, i stuffed it with foam and a few strategic socks. So i got dynamat, foam, and socks where the seatbelts come out of the panel. Im using a kenwood exxcelon deck with an alpine mono for the subs. My 6x9s - fronts - and tweeters are all vega including my 2 channel amp for speakers.
I had two kicker twelves in a little cobalt and it too was a rattle trap. I ended up just putting a 10 inch in only and saved all that effort and money for my old truck

I previously had a 3K Hifonics Amp and it didn't go well for me. I would recommend a name brand or even ask your local car audio store (if they're are still open right now). I'm not an expert by any means so I don't have the best answer. All I can tell you is figure out the max watts your subs can handle and find the best name brand amp you can get. Good luck!

No, have not needed to. I called Mechman and they don't make one for the 2016 Corolla. I upgraded my battery and that was enough.

To be honest it doesnt hit that hard with rock music. Im going to update the door speakers soon tho.
If you want to listen to rock or heavy metal music.. it's best to get a sealed enclosure not port or vented. It will sound flat.. you need to have a sealed box. If you get these speakers for your setup just make sure you get the sealed enclosure at the right specs for the speaker and you should be good
Does that DynoMat stuff really make a big difference applying into the trunk? I have some in my rear deck speaker area and doors but Idk how much a difference it truly makes. Especially in the trunk for a sub
It does if you know where to apply it. I recently added some additional Sound Skin for extra noise cancellation and it seems to help a lot. But it also depends on how much base you have in your trunk as well, cuz sometimes it doesn't matter how much dynamat you apply honestly. It'll only go so far. You need to place it strategically in or to get the best results. Hope this helps!

Both subs together are rated at 1500 watts and wired at 2 ohms I think, but I can always drop it if I really wanted to lol

On paper the vxfs are really nice but aren’t super musical above 40 hz. Super low, they slam. Better off doing an sa-12

In your opinion, would I be able to fit one of these in a single cab pickup? It says on the specs theyre about 6 inches deep for mounting. If thats really the case Im gonna trade in my rockfords for some vega pros
To be honest I have no idea. I would first measure out how much room you have to work with in your vehicle then look up the specs for the subs online. Sorry I couldnt be much help :/
