I have a recording of a Mod that had one of the last MCP controllers. The controller has since been replaced with an Ultravoice. I like the MC and MCP controllers better than the Ultravoice, because their wail signal is lower in pitch in the downward part of the cycle, which carries further.
So you have an MC3012. I got an MC4016. I find it interesting that all the amps in yours is all gray(except for one) rather than the normal black amps that came with the MC. I assume this is because WSS had ample spares from Siratone controllers that worked fine.
I asked Federal Signal about that and they said it can't be programmed manually. I wonder if it's the MCP controller that are the ones that are able to use Major Third. The MCP replaced the MC in 1995 and was replaced by the current Ultravoice in 2002.

One Defaulty Boi Siratone is short lived as well in my opinion because the world wasn’t really ready at the time for electronic sirens in my opinion well the EOWS Series
@@brandonbutchart5576 Not quite. The SiraTone controllers were engineered well, however early models weren't built well whereas the late models were built very nicely. The big problem was Federal cheaping out on capacitors. This is what caused those controller to have pitch drift issues as the capacitors aged over time. You replace the caps with high quality new ones and the issues go away. Whelen at the time was using their early model ESC-864 controller which were microprocessor based, controlling the tone generators digitally, so it wouldn't have pitch drift, but would have glitches if the computer ran into issues.
The Siratone controller was indeed the first of the Federal Signal's electronic siren controls they used. Siratones were used on EOWS series through out the 1980's. In 1990, the MC controller came out which became the replacement of the Siratone and the EOWS 1212s and 115s were replaced by Modulators. The 612s were still being produced until 2002.

It's weird how the two tones on these older Modulator controllers go out of sync with each other during wind-up and wind-down. You were lucky to get a dual tone one. I'm surprised that it doesn't sound a major third in Alert like other older dual tone Mods do.
Hm... ...if I were to get a MC of my own I'd modify it a bit to be on better timing and make it slightly more pleasing alternation and steady tones. :)

@@Siren1000T1Nope, the tone is actually generated in real time, all controllers have this type of glitches too, UV controllers have blips and another glitch called “Lag”. MC controllers also have the Lag too, seen in your “Playing with my FS MC Controller” video. Also, MCP controllers have the Lag glitch too, if your wondering.

Are you sure it's the MC controllers that they use and not the MCP or Ultravoice?
I see two drivers there. Is it one driver for each tone or do you just have two so it will be louder?

4J25 the MCP looks the same, it just has more choices than the MC.

They're all stock with Dual Tone. You just have a choice to wether you want to unplug tone A or tone B.
