JOINT PAIN AND SORENESS IN BMX (Is It Normal?)

- BMX is painful. If you're not crashing and getting hurt, you're suffering from joint pain and soreness all the time. There are a number of reasons that this could happen, but the biggest, in my opinion, is that our body is making changes and adjustments to get used to BMX riding.
Being 41, I get more pain after riding than ever before but these 4 things help:
1. Stretch before riding
2. Ice sore / swollen joints afterwards
3. Strengthen your core muscle group
4. Full body light exercise
Dynamic stretching before rides/sports, and static stretching after. Alot of people are doing this wrong.

Hi! I'm beginner in bmx, but I have experience in mtb riding (with speeds, cross-country bike) when I was younger, I skateboard too, do tricks and after skateboard riding my knees are ok. Only after ride a bmx my knees pain (the ligaments under the kneecap hurt, feels it's very tired) I'm very fit, I go to the gym (can bench 120kg ),so my muscles are strong enough, but wtf with bmx... I'm 6.1, 80kg, frame 21 bar 9.25. maybe it's not for me? Idk
i pretty much always get a slight pain in my wrists, and sometimes in my knees and ankles. i used to get a pain between my shoulder blades but the muscles there definitely strengthened because i don't get that pain anymore and i can feel those muscles bulge out if i flex my back.
I currently have a knee brace and an ice pack on my hip
I just started max again and I experience Hella knee pain. And ankle and wrist pain when I ride

Hey man I'm 15 and looking to get into bmx but I have bad knees would it be ok for me to ride
Have you tried wearing lastic knee supports? Perhaps that might help with your knees, stretching before and after might help as well
15 with bad knees? That sucks. I'm 51 with bad knees and ride BMX almost every day. In theory, with a light, near perfect bike I would think it's ok. Just don't over do it. I would stop for a while if it hurt too bad. I mean the first things in physical therapy is to put us on stationary bike right?

First you should consult a doctor and a pro Fitness Coach.
Keep in mind that Not eberybody can do every Sport!!!!!!!!!!!
Some yoga/stretching routine daily.
A visit to the chiropractor every so often helps
