This Resort opened as Hyatt House Orlando in the 1970"s. As a Hyatt employee I was able to stay here. When I did the resort was a bit outdated but still worth staying. It breaks my heart to see the way this resort has declined.
This place gets worse every time someone does a TH-cam video on it. So sad. Drove by recently and it was shocking to see how bad the outside is in person.
Never get bored with your videos. This place is really something - seems to be sitting on a prime piece of property that would be a good investment but certainly not in the shape it's in now. My thinking is it was just too big and soon lost its grandeur. Really like how you tell the history and have the insets of how it once looked. Glad you did the drone footage to show just how big this place is.
Man this place has gone downhill. From my first explore of it 3 years ago to my most recent around a year ago. Crazy to see the stages of life this abandoned place has underwent.
Every single piece of this hotel is from people not one single thing on this property is from weather, and is solely 1000 percent due to florida TH-camrs including ugue, joe, omar, james , etc claiming for years it was abandoned when it wasn't and I have proof.
Wow Dave. It's massive. Holy! A real shame. Good that it will be fixed up. Should have known there would be squatters, the curtains on some rooms. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This place used to be the Hyatt hotel. We stayed there when we went to Disney in 1973. We would stop there and get milkshakes when we lived in Jacksonville and would go and see my grandparents in the Tampa area.
What a shame places like this have not been able to stay open. When up against Disney upgrading and creating a place worth staying is very important. Thank you for this explore!
This was really cool ! All the rooms on the ground floors had the wall of the room facing the court yard gone. All of them. Weird. Maybe the walls were mostly a sliding glass door and the whole wall was glass; so vandals trashed them all. Like you said, if it was not for the massive vandalism the place would be like a set of The Walking Dead.
Although this place is on a grander scale, it reminds me a lot of the Doral Beach Hotel in Venezuela. Stayed there twice because it was so nice. What I don't understand is the destruction of private property. It makes me want to cry because it's so heartbreaking. What kind of mentality causes people to do such a thing? Thanks for the video of a once beautiful place.
I can’t say for certain but I know we stayed at an Orlando Hyatt on our senior trip in may of 77. It was a nice place-had a night club that back then we were legal and could go to. The entertainment was so good. Of course we then went to Disney world. So this may have been our hotel. So sad to see it so trashed. Listening to your narration, I’m almost certain this is the Hyatt we stayed at. Right outside disney world, and the pod shape-yeah. That’s it. It was gorgeous and we had a blast!
Such a waste of a huge property! Was this your first visit to Fl? I live in St Augustine Fl. About two hours north of Orlando. Hope the competition was a good one and y’all had a great time!
Yoooo me and some friends went here a couple months ago, definitely a good idea to leave the squatters alone, there’s like an established trap house there and we ended up getting escorted out by cops
BTW, that road is simply referred to as 192, or its other name, west irlo bronson memorial highway. nobody calls it one hundred and ninety two. I bet it will sit for another few years while the new owners twiddle their thumbs on what to do with this property, or if they can get the financing backers to bankroll this massive project. they should just bulldoze it all and put a massive nature park with trees and fountains. who cares about the tourists, florida has enough touristy shit as it is. dont need more crap to bring more overcrowding to this already full stupid state.

i remember my cousins stayed at that resort when they were teens, they showed me those same photos, it was nice in its hey days

I stayed here a couple of times when I was a kid... weird seeing things in the video that I remember and sad, it was brand new then.

It’s children being raised by animals basically
So cool!! Love the before pictures you added, alongside the current state. Another great video!! ❤
Thanks so much!
Holy crap! I can't believe it's there like that either 😳 Does your family believe you when you say you found a nice place to stay for a great price? 😂
Crazy eh?
Wow this place is huge and thanks for the drone shots as well.
Thanks for watching!
I don't think I would be roaming around there by myself. You never know who or what can be lurking around!
You could make a post apocalyptic film there

wonderful video. I thought of alligators, snakes, and rats. Probably was a little big to maintain as costs increased. Thanks again.
Glad you enjoyed it!
So sad! The owners should clean their mess up. Shameful
I stayed here as a kid in the 90's. Had no idea it was abandoned now.
Definitely made the right choice to leave the squatters alone! Better to be safe than sorry!
100%
That's so weird so close to Disney world
like right beside it!
There are a lot of vacant hotels on 192 near this one.
I am not leaveing you i like watching your videos pretty cool lila flordia ❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂

couldn’t even watch past your intro where you say it opened in the 90’s!!!! you obviously did not do your homework on researching this place
Good decision to leave. You never know what they could do. It’s the states.
What a shame. All those millions spent and it is left to rot. Smh.🧡🏚🏘
right?
Just in need of some T.L.C.?
