Thanks for the explanation! But I have a question about this. If I input BAC rather than BACA, it will output 0.59375 as well. Therefore, if I want to decode 0.59375, what would I get? BACA or BAC.

0.125 ÷1/4=0.0312

In question, it is given P (A)=.5, P (B)=P(C)=.25, For intervalbof B the boundaries are 0.5 and 0.75. Here, upper boundaruly of interval A will be 0.5+1/2×0.25=0.625. For B it will be 0.625+1/4×0.25=0.625+0.0625=0.0.6875.
