I run these displays and have the burner controller located near the burner to assist a technician when working on a burner issue. I also use the coms feature on the display to broadcast data to both the display on my operator touch screens and also to the PLC. This enables me to display the data on the operator touch screen and also report the burner status to the PLC. Having the data displayed on the
One thing worth mentioning about this kdm 7800 Is that it has modbus terminations on the back of it! I can read both lines of the display via modbus and also send a do not fire...
I'm trying to set this display up as a Modbus slave so that we can read its registers from a PLC. I have the manual in front of me but I cannot find "MB Address" or any other modbus settings in the display, despite what the manual shows. Do you know how to access modbus settings in this unit?
Great video. We've had a few of these have fault 43 (Ignition relay feedback showed on when it should be off). Any idea what the issue could be with this code? Thank you in advance
Eric, pull the uveitis scanner and see if it's blinks an orange flash sometimes it will blink alot or it will blink every few seconds. If it's blinking replace the US scanner.
Hi everyone, can someone help me with my problem on our oven? The Burner control sudden turn to stand by mode while we are on production. Please we need ur help. Many thanks
Could be anything if it's moving to standby as that tells me several specs has been satisfied to close that operation and thus move into this mode. Loose wire, operator failure, or it's actually working correctly really. My main guess would be the air switch not seeing the unit or just guessing. If you have no lockout (very different from "standby") this really doesn't tell you why it went into standby as it's not a fault. This is why you should have an actual boiler operator employed to maintain this type of equipment or someone to call 24/7.
I’m getting a main flame ignition code on my 7800 . Does anybody have any idea where I should start ? Also when I get that alarm for some reason the honey well drops out it power and turns off.
Ignoring that last part, which is a issue as well: Flame rod or detector usually IMO since the eye or rod senses the pilot but not the main flame. Clean the eye or replace the rod. "Flame was lost during MFEP or the first 10 seconds of the RUN state". A dirty flame eye can see either flame favorably but not the other and rods can just crack or become toothpicks if not maintained. Watch the main fuel valve open, jaunt over to the firebox window and watch the pilot-to-main transition. Does it look like one is blowing out the other? Does the main actually light then fall on it's face? I hate these as it's usually in the fuel train with everything from the burner back on the fuel line...assuming it's nat gas and not oil. The Main Fuel and Pilot have different regulators so that's why I'm 50/50 on which one is blowing out which. High Pilot pressure is my usual suspect during that transition to the main flame but it's not a positive suggestion here. Ya just have to watch that transition in the window to make a personal judgement. That Honeywell burner control turning completely off while creating an alarm in the process would be highly suspect of any and all problems, having said all that. They don't do that so I suspect it's telling you lies then dies...but that's just me.
I have a Honeywell burner control that fluctuates in DC voltage from 5 - 0.1 volts during a cycle which causes it to lock out on flame failure. I thought it was the U.V. Fire Eye so I change it out with a brand new one. I still had the same problem so I thought it might be a clog in the "tube" the Fire Eye connects to so I cleaned it out and I still have a fluctuation in voltage which is causing flame failure lock out. Is my Honeywell Burner Control bad?
Erick Zamarron Thanks, I now have a new problem, The fire eye now detects a flame when the boiler is not firing. Usually that's a problem with fuel oil but my boiler uses natural gas.
According the the manual, "High Fire Interlock Switch failure to close during PREPURGE." That means it didn't close when expected to be at high fire, that simple. Conduct the 5 steps it states in the manual then consult a boiler tech that understands these things. Not knowing your actuator model or how it's high fire switch works is just a guess on youtube comments.

Mine is code 28 and it has zero flame signal. I’ve replaced the flame rod & igniter. What do I check next?

Do you have a video on how to replace the blue box? Ours broke. It won't power on.

Excellent explanation of this control!

That's wild that the display is an upsell accessory

Hey I just wonder about the website to send to me I can't find it so can you send me back the website

What is fault 27?
We have a Honeywell 7823, will the display work with our controller?
What about a 116 code brother? Any help greatly appreciated..says replace MODULE we shall see

DaneStolthed i had the same problem and in my case it was a defective wire from the subbase to the UV

+DaneStolthed You can take a lighter to the front of the eye and you should see the eye light up that should verify that your uv sensor is good
Incredibly helpful thank you very much
You are very welcome Ricardo!
Hello, My burner control keeps showing "Fault 47 *Jumpers Changed*" any idea what might be the problem? thanks
Too much vibration has broken a connection on the inside. Replace the control and fix what ever is causing the vibration.
how do I correct a code 46?
That would be helpful for me too
Hello dear, please interpret the failure of 14 lockout.

Code 38.?
How can the cycle counts be reset? I have a few that are at 99,999
Dewayne Bryan you cant
Thank you
al llegar a los 99 999 ciclos, Significa que ya no funciona mas?
Mi equipo se apaga muy seguido
I want 5 cycles not 5000
Eric, UV scanner. sorry
Hah I was wondering
