American Psycho is one of my all-time favourites; for me, it's up there with Vertigo, Sunset Boulevard, and Silence of the Lambs in terms of how well I like it. Probably one of the best adaptations I've ever come across, especially considering the book seems like such a challenge to adapt, not because of its content but because of not really having a plot or an identifiable act structure.
