I’m really happy for you, Gene. What it must feel like when you walk in there, knowing that everything is perfect for you, and that you did it 99.9999% by yourself!
@@BrenQ99, Thanks so much. Though it’s far from perfect, it’s something I really wanted to do for years and it feels like me. If that makes sense. Thanks again for watching.
Once again, Gene, you hit the nail on the head, literally and figuratively. It came out fantastic. I love the shiplap look. I didn't see where you were going with the brick paneling, but I do like the way it turned out!
Amazing! Looks fantastic Gene. Those wood panels really look great. Gives it that old vintage look. Also, the brick look with the Logo, well done. Add the vintage old woodworker in the shop........ excellent. It will be tough to get you out of there, the perfect man cave. Needs a fridge, and big screen TV. lol

Just stumbled upon this channel and glad I did! I really enjoyed this build. It’s inspiring! Well done 🤩 it brought to life a similar idea I have for using both wood and brick panels in my garage. Rock on 🤘🏼 😎

I did cap one off because of the location. But I can always get to it if I need to. I had a change of plans for that brick walk. Video coming soon. Thanks for watching.
Your shop is really looking fantastic, but why 12/2 romex?? I would run 12/3 so everything could be properly grounded. The added cost is like car insurance, it's a waste of money until you need it.
@@PaganWizard, You know it’s funny you say this because the romex package calls it 12-2 but it includes a 12 gauge ground wire too. Why they don’t call that 12-3 I don’t know. But you are very correct. Everything needs to have grounding. Thanks for being that up.
@@Michel-7.7.7, For a shop it works really well and will hold up for years. I don’t know if I would use it in my house. What type of materials would you use?
@DIYGene i tried these ¼ inch paper laminated panels here in Germany once, never again. At least tongue and groove boards or wodden panels a bit less than ½ inch thick (~10mm) to create a somewhat stiffer structure than the wobbly things. To make it "indestructable", a layer of tongue and groove chipboard beneath makes a wall, where you can screw french cleave bits (if that's a word) and hang heavy things to it anywhere, whithout being worried to hit the beam in the center. The downside, it adds up but it makes it harder for thieves to knock a hole in it and steal your tools or harder for a storm to lift it up.✌️😁
@ I used 1/4” tongue and groove on the porch soffits and it’s actually cheaper than the panels but you have to stain it. I don’t know if I would trust hanging anything on it without a stud behind it either. But I hear what you are saying and it’s a nice product. I guess a lot for me is the look I want.

Hello Gene. I think you may have buried a couple electrical outlets behind the brick wall panels….

Where I come from you can’t bury a capped box inside a wall, ceiling, etc. The cap must be on the outside of the final covering
@, That’s also why I don’t go into the wiring because it’s different all over, and I am no electrician. Lol
