This is just what I was looking for. I’m installing a double din this weekend in the 80 and was wondering about the sub. Do you know what wire is for the sub or how that works? On the back of the head unit there’s only 8 speaker wires. 2 per speaker. 4 speakers. What connects to the sub?
@@OldMatesBackyardTech Righto. Cheers. Mine might be stuffed too. My cars got an aftermarket Sony stereo in it from previous owner so I thought they might have just not hooked it up to the sub. Figured I’d try get it going. I’ll see how I go. Cheers mate. Must be shoosh shoosh time for you over there. Ha ha
Why don't you give the 80 a birthday and clean it up a little bro? As for feedback on the vid, way too much chatter, stick to the point and be concise ...falling asleep here.

My sub amp was stuffed when I got. The sub amp/crossover is in the wheel arch.
I think it's bridged of the rear
@@OldMatesBackyardTech thanks mate. When you say bridged does that mean it runs off the rear door speaker?
I think so.
Mine was stuffed

Very informative. I didn’t see how you removed the actual head unit. Can you assist with an explanation about that?
If you look through the 80Series playlist there's a video on getting the radio out
Too much bullshit mate. Get to the point. Just want to wire up my stereo.
