I'm just watching this one again and I don't know who is more evil 😂 "HER" Or the 2nd guy at the job interview. He was very intimidating.
These actors are so amazing, the interviewers are boiling my blood.
The 2nd man in the job interview must have sense something diabolical about Emma. He is in that job interview; he must be a psychiatrist perhaps . . . and that 'her' is just Emma's evil alter ego.
One of the most original bits of horror I've seen in a long time. Love the very slow escalation of dread, not only where we expect it, but within the safe, familiar confines of the interview. Just an increasing sense that something is terribly wrong. Also love that nothing is explicitly explained.
Just caught this one now, so glad I did. Perfection. Evil interviewers, mysterious entity, great acting, camera and lighting. So much more I'd want to know about all these characters. Great job!
Oh mate missed this! Thanks so much! x
I keep asking myself (after three videos I've seen on this channel now): where do you find all these talented actors? I don't know who said it, but if an actor does not make you realize you're watching a movie and they are acting... then they delivered a great job!
In all of your shorts so far all the scenes feel as if they were shot in real life, with normal people living their lives (and - sometimes - dying). Hope I get my point across, you guys create such unique movies, I'm finding it hard to NOT fangirl like a maniac :)
Keep up creating wonderful art like this!
Ah thank you so much for your kind words! I happen to know a lot of actors with great training and it's really down to them that these films really come to life. I'm so honoured to be working them! I really appreciate that you're enjoying the films so much! x
well said!! I'd add that the production team does a brilliant job of giving the actors all they need to do the job best as they know how.
@@TheAdeybob You're a legend!
I've gotta say man, you're a special one. Don't quit this, will you?
Oh mate thank you so much! Really needed that! So glad you're enjoying the work. :)
We really hope he doesn't
His films are terrifying 👀 and unique. Hope to see a lot more.
This idea actually needs not just a movie but a series of its own. The characters have so much backstory...you keep coming back for more
Girl : screaming

haha!
It was brilliant, I loved it and I wish that it was longer because I wanted to know more of the story. You guys did a killer job!
Good acting. Her awkwardness was spot on. You can feel the anxiety
absolutely flawlessly done. The production values are nothing short of stunning - this level of finish and polish is rare in a short.
I love the way the time was used to such great effect without it all feeling rushed and compressed - so much so, it felt like it was deliciously paced more like a much much longer film. Honestly..this short is like a TARDIS - it says eight minutes on the box, but it delivers a whole lot more than a lot of half-hour films I've seen.
The dialogue between the friends was utterly natural, I loved it. It was engrossing without seeming intrusive - the opening scene saying so much in so little time.
The interspaced interview scene was thoroughly realistic and nicely layered, and took me on a bit of an emotional rollercoaster in its own right...I was actually cringing at points.
The rather excellent photography/cinematography deserves a big mention too - there was a lovely deft touch to how each shot was framed, that had me feeling almost nostalgic in my memories.
From the beautifully nuanced performances, to the understated sound engineering and excellent atmospheric lighting - this short was a real treat to watch. My level of investment in the two main actors surprised me, by the time the short finished.
Even the meta-wrap was excellently done..with subtle and deft linking between the very first scene to the last.
Has the film-maker defined a new genre..the 'cosy horror...? Because for me, this film welcomed me in, and wrapped me in warm blankets - before rolling me up them and giving me a good kicking.
Bravo!!!
Mate this is such lovely feedback! Thank you so much! I had the best cast when making this film and they brought so much to the table. I'm really glad you appreciate that it doesn't behave like a traditional horror movie! Onwards and upwards! Thanks again! x
@@mini-nightmaresofficial3065 more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I loved it all too. Right from the start when she's standing in the road, beaten up and in shock, the birds are tweeting what we think are happy tunes. They aren't always though. It was a good contrast between the imagery and a noise we tend to associate with a peaceful and tranquil moment. Those 8 minutes passed like about half that for me and I loved every minute 🙂
Your films are easily some of the creepiest...and I've seen thousands. Awesome work.
Thanks so much! Really appreciate it!! x
Did you guys see a plot summary online or did I miss some important detail. I absolutely love the work this channel does but can’t figure out what the idea was behind this
Cheers for the feedback! This was my first attempt at this kind of storytelling. If its not clear then its my fault!
@@mini-nightmaresofficial3065 I think that it is clear that there is a connection between "her" and Emma and that she can sense that something is wrong. It may possibly be due to a genuine connection between the two or just a gut feeling after having to deal with "her" for as long as she did. However I do like that it left me with more questions than answers. Like what is the connection? How did Jess get away from "her"? Just what is the role between Emma and "her" that the monster (or whatever she is) doesn't attack her anymore and that she is confident that someone else can sit her house for a few hours?
Why in the world isnt this seen more? That's fantastic!
Thank so much! Means a lot!
This is great! Well done!
Was this the girl that was in the Inbetweeners movie? She’s talented!
I wish I could watch a longer version with potential a few sequels but this is gonna have to do 😭

Thanks so much! At present we are going under our own steam. But we are also doing our best to entertain and raise awareness over importing things as well. We've got some great and powerful stories coming up!
Please make a movie 😫

Wow for under 200 likes this was Oscar worthy
You are way too kind!
I definitely lost my thread.
It's all cool.
What????
What type of camera is this?
It's a Panasonic Lumix GH4 with macro lenses. :)
@@mini-nightmaresofficial3065 Nice. Thank you for responding :)
Que curta meus senhores 🍷
what was the guys deal was she his ex?
haha! people ask me that all the time. In the rehearsals he's upset cos she's getting his job. But in the film it comes across as anything really!
@@mini-nightmaresofficial3065 ok and what was the meaning in last scene? And who is that phantom.woman?
Hi Jordan! As far as I know we decided to keep the crazy lady's I.D up for interpretation. For me she represents the dark side of our main character, I like to think I left a visual clue at 1.53. But for other people she's all kinds of things!
So she was supossed to look after her alter ego demon??
;)
I have to pee and I'm in class
Is that Jane from inbetweeners lol
Yeah she is
