City is looking fantastic Norse!! Love the looks of those farming fields. I finally just got a territory that will allow farming. Hopefully it produces barley as well because I hear that is a great trading item.
You have a bridge that is a choke point and you can defend easy. So you make another one or two so they can possibly flank you. Nice move.... 😁 (i know you can defeat them easily, but it makes no sense). Also you didn t left any space near the first barley crop to build malthouses.
If u rotate to different crops, u dont need to have a dedicated spot for fallow.. it automatically does. like wheat barley rye etc. that one is good & I use like that so we will hv max production without a yr of wastage(Waiting) period. Try that. Also found that humazns (Family) does faster than Ox in farming. Tr that in next farmhouses (Keep Oxens where they r currently deployed n new one try 1-2 of them with humans for farming).I also never n will never hve so many tiny fields, as it wastes arnd 10% of farming spce in roads etc. I just prefer to have 1-2 or even till 4 morgan plots. (4 rarely but I did that). 2 morgan plots are sweet spot I felt. Another point is go for lambs rather than costl ships. Cos lambs will be sheeps as time passes by n then u can sell sheeps for better price. I do that (With / without breeding dev point). Dev point to spend if u want sheeps to breed, but even wihout that, labs will grow up n become sheeps as time passes by.. u can sell them for better price as import cost for lamb is 5 coins less i think that sheeps. So per lamb u will start getting 5 gold when it becomes sheep n u sell it.

Closer bridges to the town minimize transportation. That makes a lot of sense to me

Great tip about the lambs! If there is a rush then this is a great idea to fill those pens. Especially if you don't have money!
